In today's video, Kirby Allison takes you through the shops of Paris, France during a day in the city. We visit Atelier Bauden to see the progress on Kirby's recent pair of horn eyeglasses. Next, we travel to the Crockett and Jones shop in Paris to visit Dimitri Gomez. Kirby's bespoke shoes made by Dimitri are there being a stretch to fit and are ready for being picked up. We then visit the house of Charvet where Kirby is picking up new white shirts and being fitted for a personally designed neck collar. After that, we travel down the street to the Camps de Luca tailoring house to visit with Julian and Charles De Luca about the Stark and Sons suit that is being made. Ready to grab a bit of food we travel to a famous sandwich shop down the street called La Petit Vendome for a ham and cheese sandwich on a baguette. Finally, we end the day picking up macaroons from the famous Laduree shop for the office and family.
Kirby Allison: Knowledgable, interesting, and well-mannered. I'll follow you anywhere!
I like how in London they are very warm & welcoming & allow you to film within their establishments, obviously the French are living up to their reputation!!
yup, and as a Frenchman I deplore it.
Kirby, you do a great job of making me feel invited to join you on your adventures. As an introvert, I appreciate that.
I love the appreciation for crafting by hand in these videos. ❤️
Bravo!!!!!!
That sandwich looked amazing.
The sandwich was amazing! I find that a simple ham and cheese sandwich in Paris is all I need. And I love that they butter baguettes.
@@kirbyallison sometimes a simple dish is the best.
Wow. Been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade but didn't know bespoke ones exist. Thanks Kirby! BTW you're a class act....you deserve more subscribers and views. I am sure you are gonna get them eventually.
I have to say that Stark and Sons (IMO) make the very finest and most elegant grenadine ties available anywhere.
The packaging on their items is of breathtaking quality and along with a hand written note of thanks for your purchase, I don’t know if it gets any better!
My kid brother wore a navy Stark and Sons grenadine tie on his wedding day, along with several other items I advised him on - he looked and felt a million bucks and was very thankful for my council. I was just glad he listened and acted on my advice!
Bravo Kirby on another super video, great stuff!
I had no idea about the bespoke eye glasses. Nice video, Kirby. Thanks again.
Kirby, I found your website a few months ago... you are a class act
Me and my wife were in Paris before the pandemic started, we did a lot of shopping but missed charvet. Visited a few bespoke shop,’s but next time thanks to you Kirby I will return and hit some of the places in your video. THANK U, LOVE YOUR INSIGHT AND KNOWLEDGE ABOIUT FINE Haberdashery.
I’d love to see more of these walking tours, great video!
Love your videos, huge fan. Also great idea on this. However, disappointed you couldn't show the inside of Charvet and some other stops. Kinda felt like a dog left outside on his leash.
4:37 "the second floor as we say in English or first floor in French": actually, for once the British and the French agree on this point and both call it the first floor / premier étage ! Americans call it the second floor.
Wow... What an incredible video Kirby! I was in Paris about two weeks ago and the weather was truly incredible.
What a beautiful day in Paris. Bravo !
We need more of these videos. Can’t wait for you to get back out on the road.
When in Paris, you must check out Corthay. Amazing shoes.
Around 6 minutes of you entering and exiting shops. Exciting!
Charvet is a wonderland. Amazing pocket squares and ties. You can have them custom make shirts, bathrobes, suits or even underwear.
Great episode, Thank you Kirby!
Hi Kirby, very nice video. I really like the presentation here. Please do some more like this. Thanks!
Love your videos Kirby you takes us on your journey and make us a part of your experiences. God bless you, Ed
My pleasure! Hopefully, we'll all be traveling again soon!
Great video Kirby! Thanks for the walkabout!
One of your best videos yet. Make sure you take a trip to Italy and film that one too!
Fantastic video and like the walking tour format, feels like we were there with you.
You tour Parisian clothiers like I tour Parisian boulangeries and patisseries lol (and I love La Durée!). I usually stop by Bottier Aubercy in between the bakery visits tho :-) I have two pair of their shoes and I love them.
I think I'll stop by Charvet on my next trip in October - thanks for the vid!
Aubercy makes great shoes. You're definitely on par with them. But Charvet is worth the visit. We'd love to take the cameras inside of there one day.
SOME OF MY FAVOURITE
Wow this is so nice I'd note these places down and I'll visit once I'm in Paris again!
Kirby Allison horn collar stays are A+
Great videos, keep it up!
What a wonderful "Pre-Covid" world. Thank you.
thanks for the great video Kirby, I am in Paris right now and will be stopping by Le Petit Vendôme tomorrow for that delicious Ham and Cheese.
Well done.
All these comments about you are very always look forward to your videos regards and salute Silvio
the great feeling of walking 'sartorially' along the banks of the Seine!!
Thank you Kirby. You videos are the best
What a great video! thank you for letting us have a peek and some of your daily activities while you're touring. I was curious if carrying those bags around all day was in inconvenience. Also, what was in them? Once again, great video. I would encourage more.
I use the black overnight bag as my briefcase. I keep a notebook, my laptop, and other miscellaneous things.
Brilliand as usual! Faubourg Saint-Honoré is certainly the best, I vote for a second video/part around the St Germain area.
Need a walking tour of London! Savile Row, Jermyn St, St. Jamess St...
Great video.
Hello my Phuckhead Phriend!
I love at the end when you say "if you enjoyed this video..." I enjoy all of you videos!
Very nice video, Kirby! Nice to see you enjoy Belgian beers (6:41)!
Would you be willingto do an in-depth video on Charvet?
Lovely segment. Next time visit some of the famous stationers of Paris: Benneton, Cassegrain...
Truly enjoyable video what a wonderful look into the world of men's fashion there in Paris France always I appreciate the many fine efforts you put into making informative videos I'm wondering however while you were enjoying your meal there in Paris you used the phrase "cheers" in France I do believe the express is "bon appetit" thanks once again
Dear Kirby, I really enjoy your videos. Will you consider Naples as your next shop walking tour?
VERY NICE WORK KIRBY . KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. LOTS OF LOVE FROM INDIA.
Try the bespoke suits and jackets from Lanvin, Paris. They are apparently back in the business of bespoke. I had clothes made there many years ago. They were very beautiful!
I like the way he walks
Exceptional video!
Thank you! Going to try to film more of these when we travel!
Impeccable style, I envy your choices. I'm looking at investing in my first set of Allen Edmunds after receiving a hard earned promotion. This is what brought me to your channel. I've been to Paris but live in the US. Again, perfectly shot video!
Great video. I would like to see the new collar design.
Brilliant video
Best bespoke sandwich in Paris.
This place really is a hidden gem that I had been walking by for years. Their fame is in their selection of cheeses with which you can have your sandwiches made!
Need a coffee? Try La Colombes 2 rue de la Paix
It's first floor in English, Second floor in the US
Looking forward for Bespoke Tour of London and New York edition if possible..
i really like this kind of video
You need a round collared bespoke shirt from the Paris Hilditch & Key.
Excellent video as always. I have a question, will you do a video on the care of shoes made from different skins such as snake, lizard, and eel? I have many shoes made from these skins.
Ughhhh.... that eye glass part had ASMR potential all over it. When she pulled out the ruler..... FUCCCCCCKKKKKK. To the moon.
this man living a fantasy
I'm going shoppin!
Since this video is four years old, I don’t expect you to respond but could you please tell me where you got the bag you carried in the video?
Great short vid in one of my favorite cities! Just FYI, one of your stops was at 'Atelier Baudin' not 'Bauden' as shown in your description. Also your pronunciation is getting better, congratulation.
Will you be doing a FULL Crockett & Jones review anytime soon Kirby?
We are still in discussions with them. Hopefully we can do at some point.
It’s the first floor in English as well as in French. Only in America is it referred to as the second floor.
Of course, well done yet again. Have to take care of things that take care of you.
I couldn’t agree more!!
excellent vid.
"Walking tour"-gets into a BMW.
Rickson Gracie lol
I'm 6 months into my sartorial journey and I never knew bespoke eyewear was a thing. I'm definitely going to have to visit Paris one day and stop by Ateliers Baudin and get some frames commissioned.
ngl seems unnecessary. he literally said they can curve horn.... like acetate; so why not just save money and get acetate?
If it is anything like Maison Bonnet, they will measure and stuff and you must visit the second time like 9-12 months later for a second fitting otherwise they won't make you a pair. No compromises apparently.
Nice video Kirby. A few sneaky single frame editing errors at 0:44 3:36 6:24 7:19
try the macaroon at honey and butter in Irvine California when you are in town...
Kirby can you do a tour of Mexico City ? Where you purchase your cigars
Very interesting video Kirby. Paris is probably my most favorite City I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to. I can walk for hours throughout this beautiful City. I’m curious, how many people were with you as you were walking/filming? I presume your editor, who was doing the filming. Any others from the office?
I wonder if he owns a pair of trainers or does he wear a bespkke suit all the time. Can we send him to the Primark and compare the suits there
carmina vs crockett and jones please tell me you opinion. who is the winner and why
Amazing theme of video. Have you planned other cities?
Crockett and Jones? Northampton UK 🇬🇧?
What about a London tour video some great shops in London
We have these planned!
I would like to see a London tour as well... perhaps a Northampton visit also to check out the shoe factories.
Thanks for video! It looks like you're limping a little. Is everything fine?
Dear Kirby, is there a reason, why you did not get a second pair of Dimitri Gomez shoes?
It's prounnced 'AH-RON-DEEEZ-MOHN' not AH-RON-DISS-MOND'
Hi Kirby how much was the ham and cheese with the beer? Love to visit Paris one day!
Lovely suit Kirby. The tie and breast pocket handkerchief too.
Why did not you go to the japanese tailor next door?
The first floor is still the first floor in English. I don’t know what you call it in American.
-Walking tour
*gets in a cab.*
La Petit Vendome should read Le Petit Vendome
What happened to the mytailor videos that were suppose to be released in February?
Good question! Sometimes things get bumped. We have plenty of footage. Some be forthcoming soon.
Man, you're rich. All these cost over 20K euros!
Paris, France... where else...
Nice bag kirby. What brand is that
Hairol Izhar serafine
This guy is such a tittle goober. Hahahaha
When did you shoot this video?! Paris is still cold
Haha. We filmed it late last year. I think it was September.
I love your videos but I find it in bad taste to showcase products made from shells and horns of endangered species. There's no necessity for it in a gentleman's wardrobe.
High end.
Should have filmed on the weekend, so you could take in the yellow vest protests and maybe even a whiff of heavenly tear gas....ahhh Paris!
Why carry yr purse around?
WHO CAN AFFORD THEM .
I gotz u bru, i just need to gas up my jet.
@@boeingt7236 FUNNY.
4:40 in England we say the first floor, it is you yanks who say second floor
