4 Street Running Trains In A Row Wake Me Up! Sleeping By CSX Railroad Tracks In LaGrange Kentucky!

- Street Running Trains Converge On Lagrange, Kentucky! 4 CSX Street Runners Pass Right Down The Middle Of Main Street. I was sleeping right next to the railroad tracks at the Brakeman's Cottage when my scanner alerted me of the approaching trains. It had been over 6 hours since the last train passed. First, a northbound train went right down the middle of the street and took the passing siding at the Lagrange 4 track railroad yard. Minutes later the southbound trains started coming. 3 trains went by in just a couple of hours after the northbound train. It was a long drive here and I was sleeping good. I had the scanner set to 161.370 and heard a train going past a defect detector about 5 miles away. There was plenty of time to find a good spot to film it. Mrs Tooth elected to keep sleeping so I used her camera to film all 4 trains. We got to LaGrange at 1pm and checked into the Brakeman's Cottage shortly after 3pm. We saw a train at about 4pm and about 8:30pm. It looked like it was going to be a slow time for the trains until they all started running at once. We stayed 2 nights here and I filmed every train that passed through in 50 hours except for 1 which I almost slept through during the second night. I have posted a few videos and still have a few more to post including the Run Around Sue which is a local switching train that goes both directions through Lagrange after working a customer just west of town.
Notice the skate boarder in the video near the end of the first train. We were the only people stirring in town at 3am. It was kind of weird being in the middle of town with it being so quiet and no cars. It was sort of like filming in a canyon. I had to talk quietly so that I didn't wake anyone up. There are apartments in the second floor of some of the buildings.
Filmed in 1080p with 60fps with my wife's camera on September 27, 2022AD
Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Jaw Tooth from the swift completion of his train videos. Keep up the good work you mad man 😉
Thanks! Will do!
This is ground control to major tom........good morning all railfans!
Yes, time to get up!
@@JawTooth
😎
And you sound tired! I like the silence in his voice on the street. Not wanting to risk waking anyone up with his pipes!
Great devotion to your craft and to your followers. N many would sacrifice 4 hours of sleep to provide us with "live action".
Early Bird gets the worm, Thank you Brother❤️👍
You bet!
" I had to talk quietly so that I didn't wake anyone up" Yeah, you don't wanna talk over a Freight Train! That place is kinda busy for 3 a.m. Skate boarder and cars at the cross gates. Still amazes me they put a town around tracks like that. Or tracks through town? Either way, fun to see. Thanks for sharing.
Either way,its an idiotic thing to have that line crossing the town
@@andreiionescu205 if it was so idiotic then why is it so popular with tourists every single day. of the year with parades and fans watching the live feed from the virtual rail fan cam on UA-cam
A street-runner passing through in the daytime is a sight in and of itself, but at night, it looks and feels all the more surreal, like something out of a dream. Awesome video! I also admire your dedication. Thank you for waking up so early to capture this for us!
An excellent video in a beautiful downtown. The citzens must be proud of their beautiful small town. It does want you to visit LaGrange.
It's that great ZZ TOP wrote a song about it!
@@terryengland1880 The "Texas Trio" wrote about LaGrange TX. 👍
I love your wife, how awesome she lets you have this hobby & use your scanner as an alarm clock 😅😅 shes a legend 👍
She’s a keeper for sure!
That town is pretty at night ... Great catches Son ...
You look tired in the opening scene there Jaw..LOL Nice and quiet there at 3am then boom a trains wakes the town... 🙂
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo et très bonne semaine ! 🌟
👍Thank you very much! 🙏
That's more of a "low" till vs no till imo. But yeah, you still should lightly aerate the soil in both methods. still way better for the land than the old fashion way. 👍
The skater enjoy to maximum the moment...
😱😱😱😱🇱🇷🚂😘😘😘😍😍😍😀😀😀
I heard them tones and I had to pause the video to see if it was ours going off 😂
Malam yang indah 👍👍
Two trains Ina row you are a great train 📹 3 am in town you deserve some awards morning JT
Plus another one
A 3am wake up call but worth it - what a catch! Thanks! I hope you got back to bed for a few hours shut eye.
I did!
You're a trooper to 👀 this at 3:00 in the morning. I do enjoy the different places U go to...
Awesome catches! You can really tell when the engineer kicks it up a notch or two. I really like this night time stuff! Great video JT!
Thank you very much!
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars It seems like it takes forever when filming them. Today I was in Elwood Indiana filming street running trains and the longest train that I saw today was only half as long as those long auto racks trains
Man jaw tooth you are a dedicated rail fan brother ..
Thanks for the efforts you put in to bring us these videos.
Glad you like them!
Nice that you have good light for those early am trains.Nice work.
So cool, thanks for sacrificing your sleep for that marvellous video, JT👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I've been a train watcher since the 70's, but now there is nothing more boring than unit trains of auto-racks and intermodals
Agree with the China-Mart trains. But at least auto racks are/ can be colorful ( graffiti ) compared to unit ethenol trains. Those ethanol trains in the same category as intermodal. 👍
I thought I was seeing things at first with the guy on the skateboard that popped out of knowhere. Cool video.
Thanks for watching !
Conductor probably thought “what in the world…there’s someone actually filming at this hour…oh, wait, it’s Jaw Tooth”. 😊😂
Add a third person up at 3am….you got cops, drunks, and now jawtooth filming trains! Love it!
The trains never stops in the night...
New adventures of railfanning in Lagrange,Kentucky...so good!!!
🚂😱😱😱😘😘😍😀😀😀🇱🇷
Thanks for watching !
JawTooth am I correct in that when north and south bound trains go through La Grange, that when they're on the road surface, that the speed limit is only 10 MPH till they clear the road.surface and then slowly speed back up?
Like the night trains great video keep up the good work God bless from GA stay safe
Thank you very much!
4 street runners in 2hr 6min! That has to be something of a record.
With the night running you're starting to turn into the O. Winston Link of videos. I can almost pretend all of the town's strung up lights are flashbulbs. You got some great action there. Try to get some rest between the trains. Liked it a lot, thanks man!
Jaw Tooth thumbs up good show that night train is beautiful God bless you for getting up so early getting out there continue good work sometimes I listen to you train things in the morning then I listen to him at night trying to put myself to sleep so thank you sir
Oh my! Thank you Sir! That was a treat. Love those small towns. Reminds me when I was younger. Be careful out there!
There is something so cool about being engaged in a hobby of choice like this in the wee hours when the world around you sleeps! Great catches.
3 in the morning great video. What a neat city.
Great excellent good video, mr Jaw Tooth.
4 trains trough the street in the night. Wow that is a busy line. That train southbound from 05.05 you have there no much light but the camera 📷 is top👍. More of this video's 👌✌️👍. Have you visit the railyard of CSX there in La Grange Kentucky.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
love watching the night trains there on the live stream
Nice angle with that cool looking clock and flag.
Wow, 3 am. You work so hard !!
Very!
@@JawTooth very hard....but you have to sleep tight now.
That's neat. You can film at any position you want, since there's no one out on the street.
The last UK street runner passenger train was the Weymouth Harbour branch. We are so fussy about health and safety! This is so fantastic! Much better than trams. Thank you!
That's dedication getting up at 3am for a train.
Thanks for watching !
Don’t be rail fanning at 3 am
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 it is pretty risking, being the witching hour
@@constanttraveler I’ve never played Minecraft and plague inc or among us at 3 am and see if something terrible happens
@@alexthemtaandr211weatherfa2 good idea!
Dooth you are the street running king. The street running vids from Elwood, IN to LaGrange, KY are second to none. Go Dooth go...Jawg Dooth for governor 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching ! I have a bunch of other cities also
I don't think you needed to speak quietly to avoid waking people up with the racket those trains make!! Brilliant video Jaw Tooth absolutely nothing like it in the UK....!! 😊
So awesome! thanks for sharing.
It was cool seeing the lights reflecting off the rails on the last train in the dark area! And also cool seeing the train come out of total darkness
I lived in a small California where i moved into a house directly across the street from a set of double tracks and the house bounced when a freight went thru in the middle of the night. I got no sleep for three nights in a row and my alarm awakened me on the fourth morning and every one since. Somehow my brain adjusted to the comforting sound of those trains and the rattle of the old house!
I love and have always loved trains and riding on private varnish along with trips on vintage train excursions!!! Clickty, clack, clicky clack, clickty clack........
Very good . Midnight street running American train . Tank you very much .I seed time is Am 3 .
Wow. You outdid yourself this morning! 🎉way to go in LaGrange!❤
Another great video especially at night street running and you go out of your way to bring it to us thanks...
You're crazy man, but I love it - what dedication!
Jawtooth, thank you for your waiverless dedication and great content. I feel comfortable speaking for the majority when I say you are greatly appreciated. Now, get some rest man.🙏
I appreciate that!
Well you only lost 3.5 hours of sleep for scoring 4 trains! Good ratio.
Thank you for the train my friend 1 love it me Eric and give my love to the families 👍😁👍💝💝💝💝💝👍😁👍😁👍
Sleepless in LaGrange.... And thanks for the shots of the fields in the very end
Love how CSX gave you a 3am reveille! You sure are a dedicated rail fan!
Ok Jawtooth, it seems as though you upload your videos at 8:01 every morning sooooo, I'm setting my alarm for 7:45am. You are looking kinda tired there buddy, go get some sleep. Cheers from Ontario 🇨🇦🤘
Yes, I was sleeping very good until I heard the train on my scanner lol
@@JawTooth I'd trade places with you any day of the week lol. Great video as always buddy, I always look forward to watching your videos. Gotta get up earlier to be #1 though. I think I managed to be #1 once.
Great catches! The tracks were busy that morning. Really enjoying the La Grange content!
Ty sir you went the extra mile for your channel followers.🙂
One of your best videos yet! Well done!
Really like the strings of lights on the pavement ! Thanks man and I hope you got some sleep 🛌 !
Nice interesting how CSX decided to street run trains instead of just going around i've seen street trains running be dangerous sometimes
The town learned to live with the tracks and to use them for tourism
Good to see that most of the yellow safety stripes have not been obscured by graffiti.
This is dedication! You are the best! Thanks for getting out there, all the time. 😎😎😁😁
A grand video JT, truly amazing to see those trains travelling through the street. Personally, I’d be quite happy to live there! Wife not so happy!!
If your looking for a perfect time to catch some action in reading. There was a derailment at a siting on Tuesday and they are doing some track work up there right now, they’ve been working up there since Tuesday and the box cars have been sitting there for a while. It might be a good chance to see a train go by maybe
You are truly dedicated!!!! Reminds me of when I’ve gotten up at that hour to watch a rocket launch in Cape Canaveral!!
This is dedication +++. Getting outa bed at stupid o’clock to give us our fix of Railroad videos. Cheers Jaw Tooth you’re an awesome legend.
That's so cool!! It's amazing to see who's out and about in the middle of the night!!!
These were awesome videos. Thanks for them
Wow Jaw Tooth videoing trains at night you are a true train fan thank you very much amazing
Thanks for getting out there in the wee hours for us. Great video.
Very nice video , really enjoyed it, keep them coming
One of your best! Just you, the night, and the train.
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
hay JT... u r very dedicated to us to get up at 3am!!! also... we talked about how camera optics can create 'orbs' dancing around from distant light sources.. we are sure you saw the great triangle of three in this one. just as the train enters the 'orbs' start their dance.. you could create a great UFO/ORBs vid from this optical flaw.. IF u can see the 'orbs' on the screen as you record.. you could move the shot angle around till the 'orbs' are in the blackness of the sky and then move the camera to make them seem to be standing still, flying around, or even speed off into the distance and leave the frame. the front of the train may not even have to be in the frame, not sure, depends on how the optical refraction takes place. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! but also make sure you get lots of zzzzz as being around those large moving metal things can be dangerous if you were to start sleep walking in the field.. PS.. it is also very cool how the 'orbs' start to blink out then back on as the train passes behind that street light pole..
We enjoy your videos and LaGrange is one of our favorite places to watch trains. Thanks for the birds-eye view!
Thanks for watching!
Bubba I get it. I prefer this sound in the dead of Winter but as I'm pushing 70 it's a sweet sound anytime 😊
Fantastic Coverage
🚂🌹🇮🇳🌹🚂
Thanks a lot 😊
Wow very cool video. That town is really nice at night love all the lights. Thanks for this one !
KABOOM to another great video of the STREET RUNNING CSX trains you caught! Man you lucked out getting 4 nice sized trains in 2hrs! Like they always say "The Early Bird Gets The Worm" and you definitely came through with another Awesome video JT! I also heard you use my saying "The Street Running Capitol" lol
JT, Hardest Working Man in the Railfan Videography business.
Loved the Thurman video,I am from west Virginia and I lived beside a train track for years, mainly coal trains cxs, west Virginia Northern, now both tracks are gone but not forgotten
Gotta love the street runners!
I watch the La Grange rail cam from time to time and usually if a northbound is going in the siding, a southbound isn't that far away.
Up at 3am filming for us, amazing guy you are JT !!
Growing up in Toronto in the 70s/80s meant lots of train chasing with my dad. He sneaked my brother and I into a fully operational roundhouse once. Scarborough, a suburb of Toronto, had a major train yard and all night from my bedroom I could hear the trains banging and clanging away. It’s pure nostalgia for me.
Early morning action is sweeeet!
I watch the street cams in LaGrange but it's a lot more interesting to see the trains from street level and different locations. Thanks for losing sleep for us!!❤🚂🚃🚃🚃
Along comes CSX3250 @ 17'25" ( 3.40AM ) La Grange Time ⏲ with Auto Racks covered in graffiti, perhaps thats where those artists 🎨 hang out. Brian your quite a night 🌙 owl 🦉.
Thanks for the experience Jaw Tooth, love La Grange anytime of day or night 🌙 😄
Even if a scanner does not wake up a rail fan a squealing wonderful to watch train would no doubt
The on,y tho g that can get me up in the middle of the night is, ah……uh - well! You know! 😉 This is so unique to see La Grange at street level at night. Your nighttime photography with no. Are to block was spectacular - this my new favorite video of yours. Thanks to you and Ms. Tooth for supporting you for getting up and out to document these trains. You are the best of all the dedicated people who record trains. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Bravooo! Great job Mr. Jaw Tooth! Thank you very much! 😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yeah, JT, JAWTOOTH !!! You're out there in the middle of the night doing TRAIN VIDS, says alot about your dedication and integrity. You're out there in the elements poundin' out vids for us and hustling the roads and what not. My hat is off to YOU sir. I'd have to say, right now, your vids are the BEST for me. I watched a garden railroad video earlier today and it gave me some ideas for your short vids. You could do 1 vid on each of the family members and the animals(horse) and pets, Chessie, Brandy, Norfie etc., and tell their stories how each one's relationship and how you obtained them into your life. Now that's a short vid I wouldn't mind watching. Then you could put a few train stills at the end maybe with that music you always end your regular vids with. I have this other train vid sight I touch on, it Virtual Railfans or something like that, but he has these cameras permanently affixed to buildings or what ever. Anyways he has these 2 cameras close to a neighborhood I grew up in, where at the tops of all his vids he has the time of day always posted and running, so if I wanna know the time real quick, I just go there. Besides that, the one is a happening site for derailment. It's called Santa Fe Junction and the other one is Doc's caboose. Oh yeah where your at in this vid, you mentioned 10 mph. through Hampton, well on this Virtual Railfans he must have a camera there cause it showed a passenger train come flying through there. I seen it cause it mentioned derailment at Santa Fe Junction recently. So I did kind of watch it that day. Any way if it's still there check it out. Sorry so long , but you are the BEST! ★★☆★★
P.s. I am wrong about that 10 mph speed. That was in another city. Pay no attention to what I said about Hampton. This was in Ashland, Virginia. I apologize JT! I was wrong. My bad. Sorry.
39:20 39:22 Seems like a very peaceful town couldn't do this in Baltimore at 3 am cool video 📷
That bubbles art was perfect.💯 12:26
Awesome Jaw Tooth! Early Bird'in paid off.
Nice lighting and decor for the small town flavors. Thanks for the tour at night. Take care.
3:30am, wow, you are without a doubt the most dedicated railfan I know. Bless you.
Great location great train thanks for the early morning video thanks again for another great video jaw tooth
