You two have the perfect balance : great skills, good mates, not too too much unfunny comedy and a really watchable format. I still can't see how you make it pay, but keep up the great work.
Citroens with hydrogas suspension are beautiful cars and not that hard to fix, I had a Xantia which I drove from Spain to the South of Russia and back twice, also has a GS which was great too. I miss my Xantia a lot...
My father has XM 3.0 V6 24V at 1993, here in Brazil 🇧🇷...was a fabulous car in everthing, he was in doubt betwin Mercedes and BMW, só the most diferent was XM...
Was good enough for Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz, I know they made the system for RR. I own a C5 and am very happy with it, but I do look after it. First time I've seen inside a cut-away sphere and as they say it's simple and clever, there's no springs on the car.
We have the whole of eastern europe coming to pick up cheap old cars and trail 2 to 3 back at a time. Literally truck loads of cars leaving for Poland & Lithuania with Croatia coming close behind.
Living in eastern Europe I see many cars imported from the west. They are often in better condition than cars which are already here. Repair and reuse is better for both the users and the environment than the scandal of serviceable vehicles being prematurely 'recycled'.
@@robt2151 There is a fine line between repair and reuse and cars that should no longer be on the roads for security reasons. How come all the high end Audis, Mercedes, BMW's all end up in former Eastern Europe ?
I had a Citroën XM, and I miss it! I think it was the car I have liked the most. It had allsorts of faults ,but still I loved it, and now I miss it. I now have a Volvo in good quality, 4wd and everything. But the Citroën had something extra. We can call it charm. And the comfort was much better. The XM was wonderful. The strange thing, my 1991 XM was a lot more modern and technically advanced compared to what my 2009 Volvo XC60 is. Have you heard of Radio XM? You could tune in to Radio XM and diagnose your car while driving. It would give feedback, thru the radio, and you could hear if something was not working as it should. That was cool! Really spectacular, actually. My Volvo is like a farmer's old tractor, in comparison to the XM. Even though it is almost 30 years newer. I don't believe Citroën makes spectacular cars anymore, which is a shame.
That's like 4000 francs, crazy. It's werth 10 times that. They need to do a Peugeot 605 V6 the same engine was used in an XM as well. The difference is the Peugeot was luxurious.
12.55 asked if spheres are front or rear than later acts surprised when asked what about the other 5.....if asked if they are front or rear at 12.55 he must have known there is more than 2.....seems a bit..i dunno....
Just recently bought myself a '99 XM in mint condition. These are marvellous cars and the last REAL Citroens. And prices are rising, since DS and CX become unaffordable these days. One little remark on your XM: It's got an automatic transmission and you should have changed the transmission oil. It's an easy job and the 4HP18 is notorious for failing when the oil is not changed regularly. It happened on my previous XM I owned years ago. Other than that, I do like your channel !
Good show but it's a little tiring listening to the old story of making a profit from these cars when everyone watching knows you are making your money from the sale of this TV show................We the viewer aren't that stupid!
And when you see the 25 people in the rolling text after the show that all need a salary, it makes it even more ridiculous ... Just call it what it is, entertainment...
Step toe and son of the csr trade. It's all fun, guys. Don't take this show seriously. It's TV programming and not a real business. Behind the cameras is a professional production team. It's not real, guys. No more than the old BBC Step toe and Son series was. Enhoy. Suspend belief. It's fun. No more than that.
RH driven XM in France ?! You gotta add transport costs to calculate your socalled laughing profits. It will dissipate completely :) This is a clown show
This show is everything that Wheeler Dealers isn’t! It’s great!
UA-cam algorithm, thanks for this new car channel that I've found through you!
Have always loved that car, very refined french automobile. Well done fellers😊
Gorgeous car, I love Citroen, they just do things differently !
They DID things differently. Those days are unfortunately gone.
You two have the perfect balance : great skills, good mates, not too too much unfunny comedy and a really watchable format. I still can't see how you make it pay, but keep up the great work.
Well, it''s on Discovery, so with TV money I guess
Two loveliest guys one could ever hope to meet !.
A clean XM for 600 euros is insane.
At 35:12 I think I heard a Polish person, probably working at the garage who expressed his awe at the lifting body of this beast;)
Citroens with hydrogas suspension are beautiful cars and not that hard to fix, I had a Xantia which I drove from Spain to the South of Russia and back twice, also has a GS which was great too. I miss my Xantia a lot...
Só,here in Brazil,we have xantias with hidramatic suspensions run today, not só gorgeus like XM,but Citroen style
My father has XM 3.0 V6 24V at 1993, here in Brazil 🇧🇷...was a fabulous car in everthing, he was in doubt betwin Mercedes and BMW, só the most diferent was XM...
One wonders why the central suspension spheres weren't replaced, as that would give the XM the proper ride it deserves! :-)
because they are expensive
@@ALINUED at €50 each!? I find that rather cheap. Compare that with a damper...
Yes you deserve it, and the car does too. Cheers from France.
It's always those damn plastic bits that get you every time. I've never seen those suspension cylinders before. Interesting. Love these videos!
Spheres are NOT hard to find! 🤣
I miss my '72 DS23
mm the good old citroen mx.... wonder what a mazda xm 5 is like
they sure flipped it tho 😎
Love this car ❤
Why did younot use the old bering to press in the new?…exactly the same size you know..😊
Well deserved guys.....
Why is this XM y3 a RHD??? The first Registration was been in France, usually are there only LHD-Cars.
Vintage (80's and 90's 😅) french car's interior use to be soo cool !! 😊
The last real Citroën, the end of an era, the last days when buying a new car was still more exiciting than replacing your old fridge.
You got yourselves a great deal. Those cars fetch far more, but woe betide if they go wrong ;-)
yes you deserved it, i had one for about 4 years never any trouble. great program
Just like the first episode of suf wiedersein pet when they broke down in gemany in a ford zepher I think🤣🤣🤣

I nearly bought one years ago when I was in my early 20s. It has a feel like no other car. My BX on the other hand was terrible.

The XM 3.0 24V with soft lether interior and automatic gearbox, diravi, sunroof, cruise controll and digital ACC isnt that bad ether 😊
Price might be low due to being a RHD sitting in France.
Let’s not forget it is a scripted show, so they can say whatever they plan to say.
Love an XM
You have made a mistake in the miniature. It is not a Citroën MX but XM
great to watch you guys but when you tot up the costs you never mention the hours spent or the Labour costs, just a thought
...or usage of a well-equipped workshop, the driving around to pick up cars or parts...
Tampoco muestran el costo del viaje a Francia para ir a comprar el auto!, y ese viaje cuesta mucho dinero 🤔
I sent mine to the scrapyard. I regret it, but I didn't have space and no one wanted it, not even as a gift XD
12.55 asked if spheres are front or rear than later acts surprised when asked what about the other 5.....if asked if they are front or rear at 12.55 he must have known there is more than 2.....seems a bit..i dunno....
Forgot to mention i still love this programme....
Get over yourself
😂 you're really being pedantic
Will no quería gastar mucho dinero, por eso no inspeccionaron ni cambiaron las otras esferas, calcularon que estaban en buen estado 🤗
The hours these guys work they don’t deserve a business that works
Ease up. They're fun to watch and it's just a bit of fun.
I dont like french cars at all, but I had an xm v6 many years ago, it was a great car to drive, wish I still had it because its so rare now days.
thiis is super . 🌟
The French guy has a Halfords jump start ?
🤔5 days? Me thinks not! 😂😂😂
Cuándo carajos vuelven Will y Gus?... o los están buscando los que compraron sus autos?
🤗😂😅😆😳
Esas esferas centrales no era necesario cambiarlas porque no estaban averiadas, Will y Gus son muy ahorrativos! 😆😅😂
I would like to see Wills car done up so it would do the job better and be a credit to your businesse Adrian Geelong Australia
1 owner? We’ve already seen 3 of it’s owners!
I’m surprised you bought a French car from France and its right hand drive. I would have expected a left hand drive?
Just recently bought myself a '99 XM in mint condition. These are marvellous cars and the last REAL Citroens. And prices are rising, since DS and CX become unaffordable these days.

Bester Motor 2.1 turbo Diesel 😊😊😊
Why mess with the spheres when you know there is a leak in a pipe???
Good show but it's a little tiring listening to the old story of making a profit from these cars when everyone watching knows you are making your money from the sale of this TV show................We the viewer aren't that stupid!
The cost of collection to France wipes most profit
Its entertaining..dont be a danny downer..
And when you see the 25 people in the rolling text after the show that all need a salary, it makes it even more ridiculous ... Just call it what it is, entertainment...
Wonderful entertainment
You can skip the well known. Intro...
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
Gus zo dom
I would have changed both front bearings
I agree but since they are selling it and want to keep cost minimum it is understandable to replace faulty one only.
Nice working your wery good mechanics 👍👍
Buyer has a Porsche and a Mercedes Benz and claims he only has 2250 lol
A garden full of expensive cars and a final bid of 2250. What a joke.
Ginger goes to Fwance.
Huh? What sorcery is this? A right hand drive citroen xm in France? Reallly? What luck.
is it me or does the buyer at the end seem; more money, more to have?
he asks for all what is done but does not seem likely to pay for the service.

The buyer was a scrooge, with all those cars in the back.....2250....
This guy is a liar he put down it's a 1 owner which is a out and out LiE
Oh no...don't tell on them! Hahahaha
Hey Will. Get rid of your Land Rover and get a Toyota.
RH driven XM in France ?! You gotta add transport costs to calculate your socalled laughing profits. It will dissipate completely :) This is a clown show
Citroen are the crappiest of manufacturer's.. had a c4 and to say it is a money pit heap of crap is an understatement
