I understand these cars were sold as basement bargains in the UK when they were new - like anywhere in Western Europe. They were bought because they were cheap, most weren't looked after well or liked. Buying, fixing up and re-selling these might work better in Eastern Europe, where people remember them as aspirational cars of yeasteryear.
It's such a pity that because a car is cheap, the UK market regard it as "disposable" and a piece of shite, until they all but disappear from the roads and then everybody wants one. Pretty childish behaviour that and VERY indicative of the UK.
@@railtrolley For a car in that price bracket, it would only make sense if you had to go there anyway. Maybe, they'll restore an old Tatra one day... that would justify shipping the car, but that would be a different order of magnitude in financial exposure and complexity of part sourcing.
I woulda used some beige cloth (or whatever colour the roof was) for those inner C-pillar covers. They often do paint touch-ups with a spray can and polish, why didn't they do that to the awkward patch?
" John " looked at that car before the bumpers were stripped...they were black...in one of the last shots !... continuity blip I'm sure 🙄 Anyway...great upload...it did look good
@@ivanvisanich i thought I recognised that little car. I didn’t expect to see it sitting on a driveway at a collectors house. Nice to see it got a good home. I just watched the episode where the lads were fixing and selling that very same car and it turns up again.
Guys in theory your system is good, the negative side of this plan is , a lot of work and effort is put into a project with not much return. Your overhead costs, rent electricity wages? Insurance etc is cutting it superfine. I think you need to increase your purchase limit sufficient to yield a better profit. With the figures you guys are playing with , i can’t see how you are surviving. You need to also teach yourself how to check parts rather than just buy replacements. But i suppose as long as you’re enjoying the challenge, good luck guys good luck
Thats true. Their concept is doubling their investment, but i havent seen an episode were they do that. Often they just sell to whatever price a buyier wants to give....sometimes earning 400 pund for a weeks work
All cars here are so inexpensive and they make so little wages after shop rental etc perhaps 200. pounds a week apiece, that said Wheeler Dealers never saw a profit on any of their cars...
This is better than the earlier wheeler dealers.
Great show! Was it not possible to just turn the headlamps 180 degrees? Apparently not...
all your show is AWESOME❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!!!!!!!
the wrap-lady is great.... so is the show by the way...

That the program example is a LHD model would have helped sell it in Eastern Europe. Shipping costs might be a factor though.

43.41 buyer inspecting car - black bumpers !!
I think it's an illusion because of the flat viewing angle.
Really that's the best you could do.
Shoulda used that chrome paint on the bumper.
@ 5:21 isn’t that the blue Renault 5 mk1 the lads sold to some guy in another episode parked next to the Skoda? Sure looks like that one.
Yes it is. It was mentioned in one of their episodes. Bought off someone who imports to resell.

The sticker on the Dashboard.... "Gast in Bayern" means it already was in Bavaria, Germany! 😆
Waiting for the renovation of a Ford Capri

Gus so dom
Is that not the Renault 5 that they sold
Yep. They saw the 5 when they purchased the Skoda, so when they were after a cheap french car they went back to the guy.

Nice little earner coming off UA-cam though. Probably £5k a month
@@petittrainguernsey3297 lets hope so, to keep the show alive
You all know this was a tv series? So the paycheck is from the tv station, not the profit.
Also this series is bootlegged in UA-cam 😂

i regret these sturdy cars. Simple and effective. Nothing like the BS they try and sell now.
I thought they might buy a Traby for a second.
Are you sure that rusty tractor wasn’t the skoda🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They bought the R5 from the same guy
Start with a joke of a car and turn into slightly less of a joke.
Great show, but you couldn't pay to have one of these

"should of" ? What does that mean? 😂
These guys are bonkers. Crushing a classic Alfa Romeo, but saving a piece of communist iron scrap? It should be the other way around!
that alfa was a rust bucket
Some things are designed to last, some for the scrap 😂.
Alfa provokes emotions but the cars are rubbish
