I bought 8 of your jigs when they first came out. Today was the first time I broke it out. And dude I wrecked them! That jig is a 4 wheel drive. One jig all day. Good job.

I'm convinced you have a bowl full of paper strips with terms like "Triple your ____" "Catch ___x more" "Instantly Improve" and just pick one out and slap it on the title... lmao

Tried the craw trailer shaking it in near the surface and caught one yesterday. Thanks for the tip

i know it prly really doesnt matter but i can not put a craw trailer on flat. i have to turn it sideways to look more like a fish tail haha

LOL your idea of water clarity and mine are very different. 2 foot is murky here in FL. I regularly am hitting 5-10 foot vis in the lakes and runs here in Central FL. Lots of grass to get snarled in though.

You prefer the craw type trailers over a single tailed grub?

Alabama shake, Good info Randy. How about a part three and talk about Northern swim jigging with light wire vs heavy wire hook swim jig. What action rods, what line to use.

Eons ago, there was a jig brand that used a plastic coated head. The head was filled with various weight classes. The benefit of the plastic head was the uniform size/bulk. These jigs were terrific for a super slow fall OR…for swimming just under the surface. I can’t recall the brand, but I’ve got a couple left in a box somewhere. I’ll break them out and give this a shot.

May June also July august September October great month it mimics all forage and fish always need to eat and always chase forage so mimic the bait fish and craws that’s all so to recap use it always and very way you can think of best bait yet

I use three retrieves myself. Standard retrieve with varying speeds, The Alabama Shake, and The Tennessee Two Step. One of them tends to generate more strikes than another.

I heard if you want a bigger bite try the Texas two step instead of the Tennessee two-step.

Any kind of green pumpkin or white combination swim jig with a green pumpkin flash zoom z craw is the deal. Wes Logan talked about how the fish see the flash as a shad bait ball and that’s what entices them. I think there’s really some truth to that

Been killing it with a red and black swim jig* along with a dark purple missile baits creature trailer dragging/shaking it on the bottom or sinking at a covers edge with a pop or two after it lands. Everything about my setup is unconventional I know. But the northern bass can't seem to resist.
P.S. In the north we are just wrapping up the prespawn stage about to hit spawn. And the low and slow drag and twitch of the jig on the bottom for me, has been key to getting bites when the fish are slow and lethargic about two weeks after ice off.

It might resemble a molting crawfish to the bass

Why a craw trailer instead of a swimbait? Wouldn't a swimbait be a better imitation of a fish?

I love to fish a swim jig in the winter deep an barely creep it across the bottom an if you bump a log or rock pause an a lot of the bites I get come on the pause after bumping something an the skirt flares then starts to creep off same in the summer but if u bump something rip it like ur crackin a jig off the bottom an u get that reaction strike

I do that same technique, I notice I get bigger bites when I fish it like that. Take a half oz swim jig and throw a river to sea D-walker 120 as a trailer and that jig rocks back and forth. Frickin awesome

I do keep rod higher but to say never fish lower in column I have used bouncing bottom in 3 feet to 40 feet of water with great success with California swim jig and caught monsters so I hate you always say never and always so arrogant
