There was a time when the an iPhone with a Plus simply meant a bloated version of the same device. It's the main reason why I would really stir away from it in the past, as there was no added benefit in paying extra for a larger iPhone. Today things are different, as the iPhone 7 Plus has taken some dramatic steps into being a far better phone than its smaller sibling, and giving the name "Plus" a true meaning. Phablets are becoming more and more popular lately, so it only makes sense for Apple to finally take its approach to phablets seriously.
Whether this is the best smartphone to buy is really up to you, but what we do know is that it's the best iPhone ever made.

I had a 16GB iPhone 5S with a few games, videos, photos and other apps (FaceBook, Twitter, banking apps, etc...) and still had a couple GB left....but just recently upgraded to an iPhone 6S Plus (got tired of tiny screen on the 5S)...I just happened to get a decent deal on a 6S Plus that is 64GB...not like i'll need 64GB...I still have 50GB left

Not on the Plus variants. The regular iPhone model has always had somewhat terrible battery life. Apple even noticed it becoming an issue last year, so they made that horrible looking battery case. This year they increased the battery size of both. The Plus variant has always been a road warrior though. Watch reviews of the 6 Plus and 6s Plus.
Same here. I have a note 5 and work provided 6 plus. I'm moving fully to Apple for that sole purpose. The battery life on the plus models is insane. A bit more than Double of what my Note 5 can last

32gb is just fine for me and the sweet spot. I was actually okay with 16gb before upgrading to the 7 plus, never even used the full 16gb.

The poor mans iphone 7. I couldn't settle for anything less than 128, coming from a galaxy phone user with expandable memory capability, it's a no brainer. Your 32 GB will be filled up in no time with you constantly worrying about memory managing.

The Jeff I've figured ways around the restrictions of ios that I don't even want an android device anymore. Only thing I hope for next year is that it has a special DAC, and fast charging. That right there would solidify the iphone as the best phone for me.

As a new iPhone user I don't see any problems with doing away with the headphone jack. It's 2017 and if you can afford this phone then you can also afford Bluetooth.

It's not really PocketNow as a whole. Jaime Rivera is in charge of reviewing all of the expensive flagships while Juan does in-depth videos on the biggest flagships and reviews lesser-known devices. Jaime Rivera is alright at reviewing but he really isn't that critical so it looks like he is exaggerating the positives of the phone. If Juan Bagnell did the review for this, it would be much better.

Jonny Oliveira it's not like Motorola was the first android phone to remove the headphone jack. Oppo did it 3 years ago with their R5 and Le Eco also did it early this year. Aside from that Motorola actually had a good reason for removing the headphone jack: making the phone thinner and so it'll be more comfortable to use with the moto mods.
The only reason why Apple removed the headphone jack is to make more money from companies making lightning headphones

Let's take it this way: They removed the 16 gig option, now default is 32. This is great on a base phone, or a OnePlus 3. But... 750 dollars? That's not a base phone. And for this price, it's a fucking ripoff. Anyone who tries to convince me otherwise is a blind idiot.

Man this sucks, I loved the Note. Bought the new Note 7...recalled. Bought the "newer" version of the Note 7...recalled. Not alllowed on airplanes anymore either. Samsung is offering a full refund. Looks like I'll have to go with the Iphone 7.

I did the same thing. I sadly turned in my Note 7 for the simple fact that Samsung not supporting it means No patches/Updates to the OS. Had the 7+ and 6S+ in hand and opted for the 6S+. Would definitely go back to the next option Samsung has with s pen, but I like the S version of the iPhones over the solid number for some reason. Maybe the headphone jack?, I don't know I just did. I'm not into phone photography so the camera was not a big deal to me I just needed a phone that worked for my job. Was also afraid with the iOS updates issues on the iP7 that my carrier call service would suffer and I need this phone for work. Samsung please come back strong and I will jump back on whatever you decide to call the next Note device as long as it has that pen and no battery issues. I just can't go back to Android on any other device than a Note or something equivalent from Samsung. It really was a great phone.

if you don't have enough money to buy an iPhone or other flagship phone, with $400, you can get the ZTE Axon 7. great features, except the camera if you want to take photos on lowlight, stereo speakers, double sim card or expandable storage. I trully recommend you and you can get on bestbuy.

Dear Jaime, what does Plus mean this time that it makes such a difference? Because everything looks like in the 6s lineup where Plus meant slightly tweaked camera and bigger battery. No software changes whatsoever to utilize bigger display.
Its an iPhone, you should al know by now its an expensive product and every other accessories that comes with it, so stop moaning about the price. After all it is the world's most expensive company for 4 consecutive years.

Samsung is also ahead of most brands in losing value, explosions, and fires! Galaxy S6 edge is less than 1/3 its original msrp while the 6s plus is more than 1/2 its value still !!

What makes the iPhone plus worth the price to me is quality. I've owned an iPhone since 2007 and all of them
have worked beautifully until I replaced them. No bricks ever. I've watched my friends with gorgeous phones from other companies have problems from buttons that stop working to phones that turn into bricks but mine and my son's just work. Also they are easy to use and going from one to another is seamless. I love my iPhone 7 Plus.
I'm ready to upgrade my phone when I find the one I want. With that being said I can tell you it won't be a 7 plus, just too damned expensive for what you get in my opinion. The price of the 32 gig is just stupid compared to other phones. Apple needs to stop being so greedy where memory is concerned. That's enough to turn me off right there !
I'm bummed about the Note 7 situation, however I am also patient (still Galaxy 3 here) so I'm willing to wait and see what Samsung's next move will be. Seems like the Note 7 was the phone to beat as far as reviews were concerned, too bad about the battery issues.

The displays on Xperia XZ and Galaxy Note 7 can be both used when they are wet.
DJ GMONEY Why would you need the home button while wearing gloves? The screen lights up when lifting it towards your face or you can use the sleep/wake button. If you're actually gonna use the phone with gloves, you'd need touch screen gloves anyway and those work for the home button as well.
Or on any Android device you can just up the touch sensitivity...

So tell me how other phones with larger screens, with larger batteries, micro SD expansion and other features like a second screen in the V20 and the s-pen of the note 7 (While having a better IP rating) do have enough space for a god damn headphone jack? BS that was a marketing move from apple and beats.
ROURKE You want bigger bettery. You want a larger haptic engine. You want more powerful internals. You want water resistance. A few mm is crucial. That plastic is not useless. It is used to keep the water out of the phone. It is also used to store the microphone.

BUT the battery socket is the same. The battery create heat and heat created can't leave the phone because it is too "well-fit". Causing the phone to catch on fire. Most phones (I'll take an iPhone as an example) Have 0.5-1mm gap between the rear case and the battery. Allowing heat to go away.

Tyler Soulsword note 7 is shit and the Pixel/ Pixel xl are meh in terms of specs. Also no water resistance, OIS, wireless charging and dual speakers on the Pixel, which is unacceptable with a iPhone like price range.

don't get the iPad. there is no reason to get it anymore besides the screen which can become quite awkward. if the iPad had osx, then it would be a great dead, but it doesn't. not only that. but the iPhone will last you more generations while feeling "fresh" while the iPad will only feel fresh for a bit of time
Update: I can afford the 128 Gig iPad Pro 9.7, or the 23 Gig iPhone 7 Plus.

Honestly, the iPhone 7 was, IMHO one the most best feeling iPhones created, followed by the 8. Those two were my favorite iPhone design
sorry when i hear that the 7plus has a great feel in the hand...that is absolutely ridiculous this is the biggest phone at 5.5 inches with the biggest bezels compared to the competition. When the note 7 is smaller and has a larger screen something is up with apple shows how important a visionary can be to the company this is not refinement its laziness

This iPhone is the best yet, it is amazing, I have had all since iPhone 3 and this one is the most amazed I have been so far. It's camera amazes me everyday. The screen in a real dark room is amazing

Kobe Bryant stick mate, this is nothing more, just dual camera that works great in daylight but not so great in the evening. Also poor signal and no headphone jack if you like to plug in 3.5mm accessories . It's new model that feels same. Touch ID is cool and water proof but doesn't justify upgrade from 6s for sure.

I use the USB-C MacBook charger with mine, it charges it much faster!
i had the 12 w charger with the iphone 6 s plus. while it does charge faster it is still not as fast as other fast charging solutions for a full charge. and that still does not fix the design flaws/issues i have with the phone.
Ziich true, it still isn't as fast as a quick charger, but it's acceptable to me, and the great battery life means I can get through a day nicely now
Its great that it works for you but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I tried it with the 6s plus and i was not satisfied

I'd totally go for one of those "D-Brand," skins, if I could find a company that would fit one for me..
However, my experience with attempting to fit Screen Protectors over the years leads me to believe that it'd be a disaster area trying to fit one myself! ;O)

That's true, they have been more quiet about sales figures. There are vague reports that they are struggling to meet demand, but it's hard to know what that means because no one knows how many units they prepared for initially.
Well I can tell you everywhere retailer near me can't keep them in stock besides the official apple store...I actually like the iPhone as a long time droidizen

You can also look at other sources of sales figures. T-Mobile claims that iPhone preorders quadrupled as compared to the iPhone 6 launch.

googzgag considered that I phone 7 plus is 10th generation from apple you would expect a lot more such as an Iris scanner that note 7 has, QHD display, which again the Note 7 has or wireless charging and fast charging then again the Note 7 has it all and last ,but not least the Note 7 is actually a Note 6,but due to commercial issues Samsung changed the name of the product to Note 7 not only that "it's only the sixth generation of notes and is leaps ahead of the 7 plus (which is actually the 10th generation Iphone) so you see my point Note 7 is 4 generations behind yet it packs more technology that Iphone could ever have
When in the wireless industry for nine years started with AT&T and most recently with Verizon when Samsung had to recall the note 7 the amount of refunds and exchanges we gave were ridiculous. The thing about Apple is you can say that the product is always stagnant but they would never allow something like that to happen their product is always reliable. Yes I remember the antenna issue Apple had a few years back but that was nothing compared to the exploding note sevens
googzgag it is stagnant because the they haven't change the model that much to say they came out with something different however going back to the wireless thing it's been in android phones since 2014 .....2 more weeks is almost 2017 can anybody tell apple to give NFC technology to their phones as well as some Bluetooth connectivity 5.0 please
