Hey miles what are you using to clean your containers, and would it be good to use with chapens have had issues using like big six for example with the chapen not coming clean from particulates

Believe me... trust, commercial ops use citric acid powder for pH down, a little goes a long way... also protips is a lot of natural ipm sprays use citric acid for powdery mildew and also against some bugs.. citric acid powder also is used as a cleaner agent, to remove coffee stains off of coffeepots... 😎 everyone should and likely already is using it for one of those reasons.
But, this is not KNF. you don't use water or molasses. Brown sugar has way more osmotic pressure to pull the moisture out of the microbes. You also let this ferment 7-8 days with a breathable lid, control oxygen and allow wild airborne life to get in , and if there are still bubbles/activity, you add brown sugar to properly super saturate, (molecule for molecule). If there is no plant juice from the pressure, you add a little pinch of salt. What they are making is more like a compost tea, anaerobically. This is how you really make FPJ (Fermented Plant Juice). rain on composted vegetation is enough fertiization for outdoor growing.. plants have their own natural sugars that break down with rain and insects and air..

Sprouted seed teas are best used fresh as they are used for the enzyme content that degrades over time. I'm sure you could ferment them and get some type of benefit but I would think not as much as using it right away. BAS does sell a sprouted Quinoa ferment colab with Jay Plantspeaker but I'm not sure of what it's use is if I'm being honest.

@@StickyDankFingers I don't see any harm in doing that at all, especially if it's going into the compost pile. Fermenting brings in and multiplies beneficial bacteria, especially lactobacillus and that would help accelerate the compost pile. I say do it if you have the time.
I have a question regarding my ferments: I have just made a ferment that smells like it's gone alcoholic...it has a strong smell of spirits. Is this going to be a problem for my plants? Thanks for the great content!
So I see you using a singular crop. It is a negative or counterproductive to make a ferment with several different crops? Like a "full spectrum " fertilizer?? If not which ones do u suggest I use together?

After fermentation is complete, can you leave 10% of the liquid in the container and add a new bag of organic material and water and seal for another 2 weeks?
I can’t wrap my head around using anaerobic bacteria for aerobic soil conditions. What specific microbes are you culturing for? I’m fairly certain the smell is ammonia which cannot be good for plant health. No wonder why you are diluting it to such a degree
Lactic acid bacteria are facultative anaerobes - they will live in aerobic conditions also, dillution at 1 to 4 oz per gallon is not super dilluted, for example knf preps are often much lower like 4 to 8 ml per gallon

Agreed this dilution rate is normal but the typical dilution rate for this stuff is ridiculous. I still fear that who you are creating is akin to ammonia and without severe dilution you will fry your plants

My thoughts exactly...I knew a cannabis grow that did this got fungus gnats harvests came out diminished. I do not see the point

Ammonia is found in soil and in compost. So? Bro. Stop Just do it. Bacardi and cola. Trust him. I have been using KNF for years. Never looking back
