  • Learn a powerful and easy Traditional Korean Farming Practice for converting your abundant weeds into a source of nitrogen for the rest of your garden plants that you actually want to encourage to grow.
Hawaii Farmers Union, West Maui (Mauna Kahalawai) Chapter President, Alika Atay speaks about the science behind and demonstrates how to convert weeds into a fermented plant juice (FPJ). This natural form of nitrogen can then be applied to your new growth plants to encourage them to be healthy.
This is one simple example of natural farming techniques that convert natural ingredients into fertilizer and mineral sources your garden and farm plants can use to flourish. An abundance of techniques are available for the whole growth cycle of plants in a variety of methods via soil (Indigenous Micro-Organisms), root, and leaf applications, environments and inoculations.

@@alohaservedaily77 I think you could essentially extract from any plant. Probably just avoiding oily or poisonous plants. Anything green will likely have nitrogen and grow formulations and any fruits, berries, bananas will be better for bloom formulas. I’m guessing local area and like he’s saying weeds growing in the area will probably have preferred enzymes and whatnot.

It is well documented that in any region proheminent herbs and weeds have simbyotic and protocoperation relantionships with local especies of fungus that produce natural antibiotics and pro-biotic substances that are adapted for that enviroment, what this man is doing basically is making this fungus proliferate in the fermenting liquid consequently producing these antibiotics and putting it on the plants he wants to grow, absolute genius.

Love ❤️ what you are all about and what you are doing. I always have a hard time doing these processes when it comes to the dilution factor. You seem to guesstimate the amounts of ingredients but are very specific on the liquid dilution at the end of the process.
I personally think 20cc or about 1/2 oz to 5 gallons of water is a very weak final product. I’m curious how you determined that dilution factor.
Now with everyone using microscopes I’d love to see what you extract out of the process as well as the microbe density in the diluted extract.
It appears that EM is the best approach to restoring our agriculture and landscapes
We need more people like you actively working to end synthetic fertilizers and reduced crop quality

I believe you can use sugar. But that can be a significant cost input depending on your garden or farm size. Alika appreciates being able to use renewable resources from one's own garden. Particularly note he is using what is considered a weed and grabbing the aspect of the plant that really likes the garden environment, although it's not ideal for his specific garden production. By using this weed as the source of the sugar, he's also capturing its vital essence (which contains property/s that likes his environment) and seeking to share that vitality with the other plants/crops he uses. So the FPJ does double duty.

sweet. I just tried this method in the video but didnt fully turn to liquid because i used too big of a jar i think for the amount of plant material and sugar. But id like to try it the way your describing since i already have em1. How many parts of Sugar/plant/water/em1 is good?

    • @anatoliish1590

i'll give recipe in litres and grams, as more usual for me. for 10 lt water 100 grams some sweet (brown sugar is more benefit), 100 ml. em 1, weeds value is about not less than 1/3 of value of canister or jar, could be more. i use it as a protection and nutrition for my plants. some people makes furtiliser without em1 but it causes of deep bad smell, so em 1 is the decision.

I am an agronomic soil scientist. A word of caution about aqueous vegetative extracts "compost tea". First: the finish extract contains very little, if any, nutrient value in lab analysis. When compared to groups receiving an equal amount of water on the same schedule the two groups are indistinguishable. Secondly: these malto-lactic fermented solutions can be dangerous. E. coli, salmonella and even cholera have been incubated this way with deadly consequences in Korea and Taiwan. Compost does not have these issues and is generally recognized as safe and effective.

Jose Muñoz sure no problems it will work faster. You can also do similar with brown rice so brown rice sugar and water solution in a sealed plastic bottle it will ferment and have useful enzyme bacteria etc. That can be used for cleaning drinking etc

No. You can use cane sugar. To do a batch that will last you for a very long time and you can share it with your friends will cost you about $4.00.
