Been a likfetime fan of Fats, and now, aged 87, still am. This recording, never heard on the radio here in Britain, is, I believe, one of the best recordings ever. The vocal and piano are superb. England, January, 2024.
It's impossible to leave these amazing recordings without feeling happy and uplifted. Fats surrounded himself with a tight musically like minded ensemble, they're all singing from the same hymn sheet as it were. His subtle rhythmic piano playing and the humorous asides as he sings is totally captivating.
I searched for this as it reminds me of my old dad. The whole sound and mood reminds me of my childhood and of people who have since passed. It feels like looking at photographs. I'm having a great time listening to this in my kitchen.
And invented rock and roll! Can you imagine had he lived past 34 yrs old? The usa would be so much better and they would be no killing president Kennedy. Jesus is coming soon. Im sure when who get to heaven will hear more if his work there. I love salvation cuz you can never lose it. If only people could just realize how fragile our bodies are. I would of given fats my lungs on a donation had I been there to help him. Total love and respect for this angel of God. Rip fsts.❤
My sentiments exactly. Am just 3 months shy of 80 years of age and I just hope that Fats and those of his day, will live on for many years after we are gone. The "music" (I use the term lightlly), that the younger generation follow today has nothing that demands a long life. No musicality and and no lyrics worth talking about.
@@alanbideleux9998I am a music teacher from Russia, and I want to tell you, sir, that I hope that I am doing my part to preserve the memory of Fats. My own kids adore him and I'm sending this video to my little student right now because it's time for him to start learning the great Waller's game.
My Mother just passed at 90 years and 2 months born in 1933 , she LOVED FATTS and so do I , she passed it on , she always had great taste in Music, I’d like to think she’s up there at a party with my Dad and all the family members that are now over yonder who used to listen to him back in the Day in London Town and FATTS is playing for them all in the great party over yonder, LOVE YOU ALL FOREVER 💔🙏🌞🌞🌞♥️♥️🌞🌞⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️🙏

Thanks for the great feedback - we pay enormous attention to our album art! We commissioned the air brush artist Philip Castle for this cover, and we agree ... he sure did nail it! The music's amazing too ;-)
This is lovely and the quality is very good. I grew up in a home where this sort of music was played all the time and I knew the Stones just as well as I knew who Waller and Miller were...

Listening to this after the complete Beethoven violin sonatas - wotta contrast - but both toe-tappin'! Really fine transfers - you're GOOD at this! Many thanks.
