to those who are listening to this... I believe we have met 85 years ago.
I hope we did 🥰
Totally agree!!!
I wish so! 💕
Yes, we are.
I'm meeting you all for the first time. How do you do?
dream of mine is to open an antique shop with a cafe and play THIS!!!! u are all invited of course
SAME!! I looooove that idea
if it ever happens i wish you the best
Sounds wonderful let me know when and where I love both🙂
Oh please keep us updated on that dream!!! I would love to visit a place that played this kind of music...❤❤
Awesome, big dream 🤩😍
July 2023 - me enjoying a bonfire on my beloved homestead that was my dream come true. Chickens, horse, rabbits are asleep in a cozy barn, my husband and two dogs are sitting enjoying a clear, beautiful night with some drinks and I put THIS on. Just sitting, sipping drinks, somewhere in Canada, enjoying nostalgia and much needed rest.
Blessings to you all.
Dreams do come true, if you pray for them.
Why can't coffee shop play this kind of music instead of trendy music
é um sonho meu em ter uma cafeteria a moda da época, com um som harmônico, caso der, até um sow acústico pra acalmar a clientela
There's a tea room near portsmouth called nineteen four-teas, everything is 1940s themed from the decor, to the menu, to the staff that wait on you. Its an amazing experience I recommend it x
it's simple. the majority don't buy this type of music.
Local coffee shops tend to play jazz and oldies.
Who even plays pop songs in a place where you're supposed to relax
I love how wholesome this comment section is. There's no "first", nobody begging for likes, just people dreaming about a peaceful morning in a vintage café.
You know it. Good music, good vibes and a surreal sense of belonging out of this time. I'll always love this era of music.
I'd love that. Calming, soothing music, pleasant surroundings, good company, somewhere to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. I love watching period dramas and films made or set in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. I just love the atmosphere, the way people dress and speak.
Because we are old souls...we just vibe differently from this modern world.
Absolutely true. ❤
In my 17 years of existence, I've been dreaming of having my own coffee shop somewhere in France. I'm definitely gonna play this playlist and you, the one reading this, is invited to the soft opening of my shop probably 10 years from now teehee
Excellent news ! And you'll be able to sell the CDs too - and make a good profit from selling the music you play as well as creating a lovely ambience for your customers 😉😊
@@PastPerfectVintageMusic thank you very much

Me :(, hi guys!
Absolutely! Music is healing!
this gives me major vibes. i imagine wearing a light sundress, sitting on the porch during a sweltering summer day as this music drifts through the open window. the air is still and the heat wraps me in an embrace. it is late afternoon and the cicadas are humming. i haven’t had plans all day. my glass of sweet tea perspires in my hand.
Edit: I haven't looked at this comment since I posted it 3 years ago! I wasn't expecting such a positive reaction! Y'all are the best
You have an enchanting way with words, Sophia.
That was soo beautifully said
This reminds me of the beginning of The Ice Palace by F. Scott Fitzgerald. :)

Michael Ho very good idea !
Now, that is a great idea.
And here and there you can call it swing.

Went to Tea Dances, escorting Debutantes in Washington, D.C., 1960s. So much fun. Good times. Lester Lanin was the big Band name. We hopped. We bopped. We did The Slide. No worries.
I'm eating icecream and blasting this in my earphones. Suddenly eating icecream has never seemed so sophisticated and enjoyable.

i like how you mean
I want back... I want back desprately.... I need back to my lovely....
amen to that brotha
yes many past eras.
Indeed...
someday i’ll move into an apartment with huge windows, put cream colored curtains and open them slightly during the early mornings, play this in a vintage music player while reading a book and drinking coffee. i never knew i needed this kind of music.
Вот странно, я тоже не знала что мне нужна такая музыка ❤ удивительно конечно, наверно в этом и есть мудрость искусства и творчества человека, по прошествии стольких лет затрагивать души других поколений людей.
Love it 🥰

Listening to this makes me want to feel like a pretty brunette girl in her 20's, who's obsessed with floral wavey dresses and patterned scarfs. She lives somewhere in france and owns a small little pretty java joint/coffee shop in the 1950's. She truly loves the warm sunny spring weather. She's very good at her job, and works at the shop all by herself. Has a small little white cat who she loves dearly. She lives a perfect middle class life in my point of view, i wish to be just like her one day.
Nice. Good luck!
Time traveling back two generations to enjoy what my great grandparents would have been listening to. This is one of the most rewarding aspects of the Internet.
Actually you're right :) Very peaceful
Thank god for the internet...we get to hear the arts of all past generations...
This is my house cleaning music. I dress up all cute but casual, slap on some red lipstick(minimal make-up other than that), and put on my elbow length rubber gloves and get to work. Makes cleaning almost fun. That or I make my fiancé dinner to this music. 💘
I dream of marrying a woman like you one day. Your husband is a lucky man, and I'm sure he knows it!

How classy! That seems like a sweet experience! ✨💖
Do you imagine, being a writer, sitting in a little corner cafe with this soft music flowing through the air, a cup of coffee in front of you and the scent of the variety of coffee beans, maybe is raining just a little and the sun is going down slowly painting everything with salmon and lavender tones
Yeah😌
I do now!
What a dream...
So beautiful, enjoy your selections of colors ❤ 💕 ♥
Yeah, but I have writer's block and I feel like paying attention to the ladies in the room instead of my work.
I played this last night while having a relaxing much needed spa night. I used an under eye mask, lit a candle and turned off the lights. It was heavenly.
LOL
I am hanging laundry right now while listening to this music. Bright and sunny here and this music makes my afternoon a whole lot better.
I want to travel back to this era for one night, slip on my best flapper attire, drink champagne, smoke cigarettes, and dance with a well-dressed handsome man.
Yah, Babe. That's for Me!

These tunes take me to such a happy place that not even modern music can take me.
To all who are listening to this wonderful music, I hope that after the pandemic we will meet at a tea party and we will try to be in 1920. Remember to wear monocle
I'll have it bookmarked in my calendar :)
A monocle my fellow??? I have not once seen a man wear a monocle. Spectecles my fellow.
@@BonesInThePumpkinPatch Of course my friend!! remember the first Penguin in the 60s Batman TV series , he used to wear one.
I wish I could tell my grandparents (they've all passed on) that I now get why this music is to be treasured.
Without a doubt, people will still be listening to this in another hundred years.
You just did🙂
I agree, 1930s and 1940s music is great. So is jazz 1920s. And so are those quaint tunes from the 1900s and 1910s, you should listen to some of those sometime as well. I love all of them. I've wondered why I love those old tunes so much, it almost feels like I was around in the early 1900s, but I wasn't because I was born in the 1970s
Just like classical

What are you painting? Colours? Are your wearing some protective clothing?
yep, I'm painting every color of the spectrum. And you can bet cha that I am
This music and painting sounds Great!
I love this music, always have. I'm 34 years old, and for as long as I can remember, I've loved this music. My father, may he rest in peace, also loved this music, and every time I listen to it, beautiful memories of my father listening to this music come to mind and fill my heart. In fact, when he was in bed and no longer showed signs of life, I wanted to say goodbye to him with music like this, while the doctor told us he was gone. I truly love this music.
Guys, can we appreciate the feelings these songs are able to evoke? Who needs teletransport when we have music and darkness?
Darkness 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@thejonesbass yes darkness lol, it makes the music like 25% better :))
Staring at the 4am ceiling totally unable to sleep. This is helping me get through it

I love the 1920s-30s life style, cars, clothes, way if talking, music, everything it's just so cool I don't know why I love it I just do

Mom & Dad met at a tea dance after WW2. Thanks for the music !
Ah, there you go. "I love coffee, I love tea..." Yep. Coffee in the AM with my breakfast, and tea to relax me before my supper. And Milk Tea in the summer to refresh me after working in my yard.
I want to open a coffee shop bookstore and play this. And I'll have my books on the shelves, paperbacks of all my books on Amazon.
Love the music of those days but I am so glad to be alive now. Eh. I would miss my smart phone and civil rights too much. HAHA
DRGH DRGH ditto!
My thoughts exactly lmao
Everybody loves what they see and hear about that era from films and archive recordings like these. But life was harder, people didn't have the knowledge they have now and life was a bit narrow minded. Life span was about 40 years less and people died of things easily treatable now. But it was more peaceful and less uncertain than now, wasn't it? A war was coming, but it was more romantic.
It would be impossible to miss your smartphone
"...and civil rights" hahaha :D
Anybody else giving these old tunes a spin because current music makes them feel unwell?
i'm 87 and play this kind of music non stop. Scottish by birth but now living in the Philippines and warm climate. Take care and enjoy the music.

I absolutely love the whole aesthetic of those times (the music, furniture, clothes, cars, everything), but as a woman I'm glad to be alive during the 21st century xD
Amen. They were horrible years to live in for most according to my grandparents, no rights for many, hunger, poverty and corruption. The music, fashion & luxuries are very charismatic though. That's the bit they agree with. But as a mother you would spend your entire Friday or Wash day at a river getting blisters on your knuckles trying to clean clothes. It was called wash day as it took all day to do the wash.
Samee
@@b12blib we still have hunger, poverty and corruption and war in the world etc. i understand the wash day though. we grew up with the wooden cloth washer board. my parents both grew up in rural regions with no electricity, no running water etc. so they passed the self reliance onto us.
Hopefully, we met in another lifetime in the past. Our old souls brought us together once more for a night full of music, love, and celebration of life.

Its ridiculous how kinda underrated this era of music is, especially since this is literally the best era for music if you ask me. just saying
A random Short story I thought of while listening to this playlist Enjoy:
Its the 1930's and its your first time in the dance hall, its full of beauties and handsome young lads decked out in their finest, as you marvel at the people and decorations your suddenly pulled onto the dance floor just as the band starts up a fast jazzy tune and you can't help but fall into the pace as the music fills your soul. You end up dancing for quite a while and when a slow song plays you politely excuse yourself and make your way to the bar, and order a drink.
As your taking your taking the first sip someone across from you catches you're eye, They give you a half smile as they wave you over, unsure you point to yourself and they nod. Moving closer their eyes capture your own, caught off guard by how attractive they are it takes some effort to create a solid sentence of greeting before the only thing to come out was "H-hello..." that smile again so much more disarming up close made your heart beat faster.
"Hi" they greeted back as they gently took your hand in theirs and guided you to the dance floor as another slow song began to play, it was like magic as the two of you move as one and as the night wore on you never wanted to let the person before you go, but all to soon they had to leave but not before they slipped something in your pocket.
On your way home you remembered they put something in your pocket and when you pull out a folded napkin you smile as the name and number written on it also had a note "Thanks for the dance and a magical night, lets meet again soon! Xoxo"
this is so sweet. glad i found it, you're very talented!!

Хвала на труду Скорсезе😉
Thank youuuu!
This music gives me such a strong desire to live back then but I remember that I'm black, a black woman, so I calm down.
Don´t worry, Retro Style will back, and i hope we keep becoming better human beings, cheers from Argentina.
Exactly, we need this aesthetic but with better values.
also the two world wars didn't help .. :/
Well, it's the 20s again. Let's bring back the "roaring" part and leave the bad stuff in the past.
lmao
Thankyou! Me and my niece are having a lovely tea party while listening to this lovely selection of music 😊
Who cares???
Sounds like Fun :)
What a fantastic idea. I plan to do the same this Saturday. Thanks for the inspiration.
You're having a tea party with your niece while spending your time writing messages on internet videos rather than paying attention to her. While listening to this old music you should adopt an old social standard, miss.
Typing a quick thank you is an old social standard. Judging people online... well I think that's newer.
The Django Reinhardt selection at the beginning is not just vintage tea party music… It is jaw-droppingly, heartbreakingly, awe-inspiringly beautiful. Now on to the rest of the video, which I hope is as good as the wonderful opener.
You'd probably be surprised at the number of people out here, sitting down and grooving away. I accidently discovered this gold mine and I'm in heaven....and my heart beats so that I...............'

That's me!
It Was!
.....as good as the rest, that is....
I'm a old soul. I have 18 years. But I feel I lived in that time around 20's-60's
Aint we all?
"I have 18 years". Are you French or illiterate?
@@coybi Maybe both.

me too! I'm 23 and I feel like I lived in the 40's through 80's
I have Covid and am so tired. This music is giving me life
Refreshing! How did this music get forgotten? I love it. And I'm going to that coffee shop looking for a dance partner. Hey, let's open a francise.
All you dreaming of opening a coffee shop, I just want somebody to slow dance with me while listening to this playlist
I’m listening to this as I go on a walk on a beautiful winter day.
прослушивая эти шедевры забывается ,что ты один.
God the first song is absolutely, heartbreakingly beautiful.
are you feeling it now mr krabs i
My wife and I love listening to this while playing gin rummy in the backyard 🙂
Very relaxing and chill… not expletives, no disrespect etc… makes you feel happy and joyful.
I'm dancing the night away to this music, and its 30s and 20s, the streets bathed in rain on the warm summer night...a cup of tea waiting for me. Ah, carefree, beautiful moments!😊❤
Unless you're a Black guy and the cops are bored.
Some of the most popular jazz musicians in France were of color.
same here😅night with rain-coated streets.
@@LuckySuperman184 So beautiful! 😊🎶🎶
It's really cool how you can instantly recognize an Ink Spots song because they all start with the same riff.
Listening to this whilst researching for my essay in the 24/7 library on campus. It's so lovely.
Вся прелесть этой музыки в исключительной точности каждого инструмента и детальной виртуозности духовой группы. Настоящий звук и настоящие эммоции в каждом такте.
Я не мог бы сказать это лучше

Очень правильно подмечено!
The band played on. Sam and Willomina held each other close. Sam's hair was perfectly sculpted against his chiseled face and Willowmina's pink dress with cherries on it frilled as they spun around together on that empty dance floor. They were clinging desperately to their love, their peace, and the moment it had become eternity. For tomorrow at dawn, Sam was shipping off to the war and never coming home. -just an image this music inspires for me...

Hello Marianne,
How are you doing ?
This was music in its heyday. Today's music isn't all bad as some say, but the decades of the 20s, 30s, 40s are matchless. So pleasant, dreamy in many cases.
This played in the house 30% of time since my dad was born 1917, Good memories.
I live in Sardinia and in my favourite tea room I can enjoy this kind of music with a cup of tea and homemade cakes 😍
Hello Sara, How are you doing?
@@Kelly-nm4kw I'm fine, thank you!
@@sarabrai2713 Good to hear from you Sara, Where are you from?
My mother had the 78 for Java Jive. I used to beg her to play it over and over. It's been some time since I've heard it again ... thanks!
The inkspots are perfection fr tho
My favorite!!! Both folks were professional musicians....even my grandkids love the InkSpots!!!! ♫♪

I like to listen to old songs and imagine how my grandparents used to live when they were young.
as much as people say they want to go back, life wasn't back then, but what i would want to do is dress in this era of clothing and dance with my partner around the livingroom and maybe have a nice small house in the country, yeah that would be nice :)
