I had the best dreams early this morning. I can’t tell what was the book and what was my brain. If I could only remember it to write it down- it would make an incredible action thriller!

❤ Love your collection ! Only the best -having read the entire Holmes collection in order. Visited the hospital where he and Watson first met! It's nice to relive the stories in my old age. I suggest the stories of "Rumpole of the Bailey" with "She who must be obeyed". I visited the old Bailey and the location of his office. And, " Brother Cadaefeld' for more great mysteries.
I always fall asleep listening to audiobooks and these are just perfect. Sometimes characters leak into my dreams - this afternoon's nap featured Sherlock Holmes piloting a small plane while I tried to fix an instrument and clean up a mess in the kitchen (yes, I know, planes don't have kitchens, especially small planes, lol). Double entertainment! :D Many thanks for the uploads - and yes, I do go back to listen to what I've missed. :)
I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one who falls asleep while listening to audiobooks & incorporating the story into my dreams. Thanks for your comments!
Just wanted to say I am absolutely hooked on these tracks. A great idea. I have been falling asleep to audio for quite a few years and finding suitable material is awkward. I used Sam Harris for a long time and he is good. General youtube is OK but a few channels have stupid, REALLY stupid loud noises. Many have over modulated voices (volume varies), are too fast, etc. A whole channel dedicated to sleep audio is TREMENDOUS. Thanks. How you make any money at it I have no idea. The market for ads while asleep must be quite limited🤣
Thank you so much for the kind words! I am glad that this channel is what you were looking for! I could see Sam Harris being great for sleep (with his soft voice). Tbh this channel makes no money lol. UA-cam declined monetization because most of the audiobooks are public domain and they don’t consider the audio cleanup I do as enough “value add”. So I’m just hoping the channel might be able to support itself through affiliate link revenue eventually. Not likely though
ua-cam.com/video/c8tWAw0VcjY/v-deo.html (another Sherlock) There’s only three right now but I’ll probably be posting more Sherlock Holmes in a month or two
Very enjoyable listening and more importantly, sleeping! The consistent level tone of the narrative is excellent. Suggestion, the Ian Fleming books read by Simon Vance would be an wonderful addition.
I was watching a UA-cam channel about the Mars rover Perseverance. There's an engraved rock they use to test the scanning instrument engraved with a maze and the silhouette of Sherlock Holmes:) I'm enjoying the audio book very much. Thanks for uploading it along with others. I'm going to get to them, but darn if I don't keep falling asleep while listening and have to rewind the next evening.
Here is the link to that video. It literally was the last video I watched before this one. I missed in the video that the two cameras on the rover are named Holmes and Watson as well as the testing medium:) ua-cam.com/video/EXYiUh6AKFw/v-deo.html at 8:08. Thanks.
Even bigger than Hercule Poirot! Actual the first to make such a detective was Edgar Allen Poe. And Agatha Christie holds the record for the most selling crime writer. I think she appears on 4 times on the top ten list. This might have changed since I last checked. But all of these mentioned above have written some of the best stories ever
🌜Does light interfere with your sleep? These high quality sleep masks are the best for blocking light: amzn.to/3JnPOik They are padded so no pressure on the eyes, and the mask shape + thick material blocks out all light. I like a little light on my phone so I have a dim night light. It doesn't bother me, I need it. But everyone has their preference. I want to tell you I am very happy to have found your channel. The library doesn't always have audio books I like to fall asleep with. Thank You Very Much!!
I have a talent for narration. I just don't have the tools to start my own channel. What are the requirements, please? I love your channel and am a fan of story narrations since I was a kid
That’s great to hear! What specifically would you like to know? Are you asking about requirements for good audio when narrating? Or how to create a UA-cam channel? I’d be happy to answer any specific questions about audio recording and editing. And I can try to answer questions about UA-cam if I know the answer!
I don’t know if this is worth commenting, but for about a week, I used this every night to sleep. And then yesterday it seemed like it was sped up, maybe returned to its normal speed. Not working for me to sleep anymore.
Spoiler Alert: if you haven’t heard this story yet please scroll over my note here. I love talking books and Sherlock Holmes mysteries. As a horse breeder and trainer however, I’m disappointed. Having incapacitated his grooms, the trainer could have performed his ghastly operation more easily in the horse’s stable. No vet would consider even the smallest operation at night on the moor with no aid and no sedation. I had to stop believing in the story at that point. Great narration and direction.

This is a phenomenal narrator. Voice is soothing and calming. It is taking forever to get through this one because I fall asleep so fast. 😴
I really enjoy the Sherlock Holmes stuff on your channel. I would love to hear the Casebook of Sherlock Holmes as well. 😀
Thank you for this.
I listen to it to go to sleep.
Excellent narrator.
Ah, a lovely calming voice read at a relaxing pace - goodnight.

I enjoy your audio books because we can actually understand the words. Well pronounced even with that famous British accent. Love them!!!!!

Perfect. Just the channel I was looking for. Easy sub.
Welcome!! 🌙
OMG, love David Clark's voice & accent!
Excellent audiobook. The narrator was great. I'll definitely be looking for more from this source.
So glad you liked it! 😀
Here’s another Sherlock Holmes audiobook read by the same narrator:

ua-cam.com/video/c8tWAw0VcjY/v-deo.html (another Sherlock)

I just found these, and it's awesome. Thank you for the entertainment on long drives and sitting in traffic. Also great for sleeping.
Long drives makes sense! I never thought about it but these audiobooks are not very distracting! Perfect for drives
Excellent essay before the main delight. Thank you sincerely for this imaginative presentation.
Thank you so much!

Is the narrator Cumberbatch? Can't remember his first name, but he has long film career. The reader brings new life to these classic stories
@patriciaramsey5294 it isn’t Benedict, it’s David Clark. (If you listen to the very beginning, you’ll hear the narrator give their name.)
Nicely done!!!😊
Thank you! 😊 🌙
Just discovered your channel … and all of the intriguing links in the text under the video. I’m delighted so far … much more to explore 🎉
So wonderful, please more. Lovely stories.

Edgar Allen Poe was definitely the original genius - so much so he is credited with inventing the Detective story genre
Love the reading!
These are amazing! Thank you ❤
Thx for lovely collection...
This is fantastic!
So well done i shall have to give them another listen… later

You called it a story, which is accurate. Then you put absolute boundaries on what you believe is an acceptable way to cripple a horse.
Thenchoice of actor for Sherlock Holmes is bad in the older granada tv series the choice of actors was perfect.
