He narrates all characters & you will not believe you’re listening to only one person! he is excellent, and offers a wide range of genre, some thing there for everyone. Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve listened to Wood house, but I don’t mind going back and checking it out again. Yes, I love this channel as well. Evil under the sun will always be a favorite for me. Hugh Fraser’s voice is; made for audio narration!!!! I love Poirot!!! The Sleep audio books is my fave channel on UA-cam!!! My reading of 30 books per year has doubled that since listening to your audiobooks- even if I do have to listen to them again as I’ve nodded off!!! I disagree- his accent for Poirot sounds Asian instead of French half the time. This narrator and of course David Suchet are much better,

I remember after the first time I heard him read an audiobook, I left a comment exactly like this, practically word for word! His female character’s becoming more and more “real and natural” as the book progresses until the next time you hear him performing 🎭 it seems natural right from the beginning! Poirot is from Belgium, where French is widely spoken 😊

I love how there was zero attempt at an American accent for the actress 😂 been listening to this at bedtime for months and just realized today. It doesn't take much from the story, I love the guy's voice and it is meant for background noise anyway. Just funny, I thought.

I do like Luke Roberts' voice, but I'm spoiled by John Moffatt as far as voicing Poirot.
I greatly appreciate that you are working so hard to provide audio books set at a slow calm speed, it makes all the difference. Thank you. I have to say though that this narrator doesn't work for me either, sorry. Hugh Fraser is spot on for Poroit. I'd love to hear Jeeves and Wooster has an audio book.

I'm sorry to tell you, this narrator is not! Hugh Fraser. There are indeed audiobooks with his voice, I don't have a link but its also on you tube. If you'll find it you'll hear thats just like the tv episodes. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Both! Most are from Librivox.org (all public domain and free to use) But I have also hired a few people to record specific stories. I'm not hiring anymore though (youtube did not admit this channel to the partnership program) so I'm unfortunately going to have to focus on other projects soon

Hey Mitch! Sorry I forgot to write to you this morning after listening to your new Poirot. Your new reader is okay when he's speaking English but his "French" accent is very difficult to understand. Please tell him to be a bit less over the top.
If you have the same guy do more Poirots please, please, please tell him that the French word for mister is NOT pronounced "mon sewer." The letter "N" is silent so the correct pronunciation is closer to "miss your." Everytime your reader said "mon sewer" it gave me a very unpleasant jolt.
All of that being said, I appreciate the effort that you have gone to to give us listeners Agatha Christie. Thanks very much 💕

I like these for sleeping...except for this one. It kept me awake all night. I think it was too many voice inflections up the shrill line of sound. Yikes!

I generally try to find softer readings but some people do prefer dramatic readings so I include a few audiobooks like this
this is not Hugh Fraser, and the story is more in the style of Holmes and Watson

I don't know what's wrong with the recording but it was full of static and skips, I kept being annoyed with it till I had to get up and turn it off. It would have been nice otherwise. It was anything but restful to have so much static and skips!
The narrator is NOT Hugh Frazer. First of all this is not his voice. Secondly, HughFrazer would know that no Englishman would pronounce Monsieur as Mon - sieur. He would also know that Derbyshire is pronounced DArbyshire. I shall not continue describing other discrepancies which are too numerous to mention. it was too painful to continue listening.

This narrator doesn’t work for me. He tries too hard and it doesn’t flow.

I just heard the butler mispronouncing 'Monsieur' . As I understand it from oral history of the period plus reading many servants, esp upper servants like butlers and housekeepers were appalling snobs but I suspect that this butler would not only know how to pronounce Monsieur but would not insult a guest by mispronouncing it either. In the class ridden 1920s and 30s or even today English servants were often depicted as little more than comedy walk on parts.
I’ve read, listened to many audiobooks and seen many of the Hercule Poroit stories. This narrator is perfectly fine. Everyone’s work is different. Every actor’s work is different and unique. IMO this audio portrays the character just as the author intended. That’s what is important.
