If I may make a suggestion, assuming that you haven't recorded most of the series already, USE DELTA GARDEVOIR, it is an Ice/Electric type, meaning it gets S.T.A.B thunderbolt and Ice beam and I'm sure that you have noticed that that is some of the best dual stab in the game!
Shadow Zebstrika delta gardevior is AMAZING! I got it in the Shade Forest in my Randomizer Nuzlocke. she's currently lv 67 and carries my team. everyone else is lv 66 or lower

Actually Charmander is the hard mode tba. As Ghost Dragon really doesn't help as much as you think in this hack, as you are weak to 2 of the 5 major cults. Cult of Darkrai and Sky Cult.
@@dukes1lv3r48 It kinda is, as for consideration the 3rd gym happens when you are around lvl 50 for your team, that alone kinda shows how grindy the game is. Not to mention the gym battles are actually rather challenging compared to the mainline games.

Just as a heads up, the first gym leader's ace is near level 25. Also Marowak has a Mega Evolution and it has the Parental Bond ability with base attack of 135. Just two little things to keep in mind :).

I didn't have too much trouble with the school b/c I wanted to use a Magnezone. And I spent 15 minutes finding one with sturdy. So worth it, I found a modest one too.
You can toggle auto-run, and instead of holding the run button, you can hold the fast forward button! You can check and configure the controls by saving and pressing F12 to soft reset, and going down in the main menu to the controls option.
Hey! I know it's been a while since I left a comment, and there's already a lot so I don't know if you will see this before your next recording, but I am so excited to see your playthrough of this. I've watched another Tuber play this on Dark so I know what's going to happen for the most part. I am curious to see your reactions to the storyline. The first episode had me in stitches. I was hoping you would see my comment before you record more episodes because you need to know it is important to talk to everyone in every town. There are all sorts of free Pokemon, tidbits of the story, and trades you can do. I believe there are even really cool series of side missions you can do in one city where you can get/see certain Pokemon and Deltas. This is the type of game that rewards being thorough. Also, be sure to talk to even everyone in Pokemon Centers. If I am not mixing up fangames, there's something I think you will really like about the Centers here, but you only find out about it after exploring. I don't know if you can access it at this point in the story or shortly after though. I look forward to the rest of this series!
QOTD: light platinum (I know that's not main series but it's notable for this question). Your first battle that's not against Team Steam (the evil team) is a bug catcher with 2 Caterpie and 2 Venipede. You would think that those choosing Charmander would get an easy first battle. That's not the case if it doesn't know Ember. If you don't grind it to Level 7, then you will automatically lose that battle (the first time around) because the Venipede know Rollout. Your Charmander might survive the first one but definitely not the second one. Edit: just to clarify, you get a choice of the Kanto starters and as far as the pokemon you find, it's up to Gen 5.
QOTD: I would say the Alola games, especially the Ultra ones. It kills your fingers just to get your starter, and that Teacher at the school, as well as Illuma's Smeargle, are just killer

I picked charmender and he was nigh worthless throught the latter parts with being above mediocre throught the start and middle. It was on hard mode by the by so take that into consideration.

That's a little tricky when you are a little kid. Your best options are either a Nidoran (Male or female) leveled up to level 12, (Double Kick) or a Mankey. Personally, I go with Nidoran because Nidoqueen or king (TM/HM slave) is better long term then a Primeape. A Butterfree using Confusion is also an option. After the first gym the game gets a lot easier. You are gifted the three Kanto starters, and there is a glitch to catch Mew (Psychic is OP in Gen 1) on Nugget Bridge.

Ultra Sun was definitely tough for me early on. But then, the team consisted entirely of Popplio until I could catch a Crabrawler.
I didn't have too much trouble with the school b/c I wanted to use a Magnezone. And I spent 15 minutes finding one with sturdy. So worth it, I found a modest one too.
