So do many other Pokémon.
@@gengarzilla1685 I'm aware. Just Mikey stated that Pikachu doesn't learn normal moves.
Quick Attack isn’t very valuable because it’s already quite fast.
Double Team is inconsistent, and minimize could be much better.
Body Slam is good, but learned by many other Pokémon.
And it doesn’t get stab on either body slam or quick attack.
@@slickviccomedy he meant it couldn't learn them at early levels
its speedy, especially if its ability pops, but the no stab isnt helpful, and most gen 1 mons in firered are rock and ground, meaning getting resisted, AND getting hit by huge Eqs and digs, which isnt fun for an electric type that aint bulky.

Ate those attacks like it ate those thorny vines in the anime. lolz.
Yeah, I'm discovering for myself just how powerful Snorlax truly is. I've never used it before, but while doing a Y Nuzlocke, I decided to catch and use the Snorlax. I named her SnackAttack (a nickname I'm really happy with), and dear God, this big girl is a MONSTER. Making it even worse for my opponents... she recently learned Belly Drum, and she knows Strength and Body Slam. In a few more levels, she'll learn Crunch, and then not even the dead can stop her. I've really grown to love and rely on this big girl.
Snorlax is always a good bet. I remember using it in Gold to sweep Red on Mt. Silver. I used curse 6 times, an x-accuracy, and rollout. Never needed to train it a single level

I'm playing SwSh while I listen and as Mikey is describing his battle with Misty, I'm fighting this random Cabbie with my Purrzerker, my Pokemon gets confused, breaks through confusion and ko's the Corviknight. Just as he describes it.
Normal is one of my favorite types to have because, while it doesn’t hit anything for super effective damage, it has some of the most powerful moves and Pokémon in the franchise. Who needs to deal super effective damage when one swing of a Bewears arm is enough to put the fear of God into you?
Add in the fact it has only one weakness, and it is a monster
I'm dissapointed that Metronome wasn't part of the strategy here.
Would that count? Since Metronome is technically a status move that can become an attack of any type, it would feel like cheating, at least to me. Anyway, who knows what Mikey was thinking in regards to Metronome...
@@Dark_Side_Productions I would argue it's fair game.
Status moves don't interact with the type chart at all, but this playthrough restricts the move list to normal type status moves. I think that sets precedent that we're basing this off of the type the move is listed as rather than by how it interacts with the typing matchup chart.
@@plentyofpaper Fair enough. I guess we’re all entitled to our own opinions.
Wouldn’t that be terrifying tho
@Whiplash ` Honestly, given the existence of oder sleuth, I don't think it's much of a puzzle in the first place.

Edit:Since there is a type fight going on and this was lost in the comments, eevee and furret are exceptions.
Well not norman if you use the protect strategy
I dont think its the worst and its certainly not limited
That’s because they have good coverage usually and only 1 weakness.
That’s because they are usually early game where you usually can’t get a fighting type until later and they usually have status or really annoying moves and then Hyper fang which is really good and a move like growl that is also annoying
It is certainly not the worst type!
