11:24 Mickey, I know it's a sponsor and all and the game looks also really good too, but criptocurrency is bad for the planet: every "unit" of criptocurrency is coded in a way so that it cannot be stolen. So, to actually sell or buy any nft product, a server makes a lot of tiny "rubic's cube" for every single coin. Like, it has to convert the code to it's value. It makes a lot of tiny operations, and when something is expensive (or there's a lot of demand) we need to use more and more electricity to support the servers, which means more wasted energy and damage to the environment. Just to let you guys know, nfts are dumb in so many ways, please, let this not be a common thing, it would ruin a world that has already enough scars. Good vid btw, bug type is great
Not to mention, the cryptocurrency 'mining' setups require a lot of hardware, including GPUs... And there are people who are buying out the 3080s just to mine more of this environmentally-damaging, artificially inflated fake currency... Making it near impossible for people who ACTUALLY need the cards for their computers, or making the prices skyrocket.
I was about to come down here to comment about this too. NFTs are bad for the environment, bad for artists who get their art stolen to be made into NFTs, and it acts pretty much like a pyramid scheme, theres so many reasons to not support them. I hope he doesn't work with this sponsor again.
And on top of all of that, in order to get the best deal on all the electricity used for mining crypto, they set up their mining operations in countries with dirt-cheap coal-powered electricity. So not only are they causing harm through their electricity usage in and of itself, they're specifically using THE MOST HARMFUL means of producing it.
This video was beyond perfect. I am definitely going to try a specific type play through like this. Micheal, Bug Catcher Champion, your acting was humorous and true to what a real life Bug Catcher trainer would act like 😂. I enjoyed every second.
Hugh despite not being the edgiest rival is weirdly the most physical, also never forget that cheren called team plasma a waste of oxygen, my dude didn't need mommy/daddy issues, a nasty attitude and spiky hair to deal out insult
Do you think Bug Catcher Mikey might have a good time in Alola (Ultra, preferably)? After all, more powerful Bugs get introduced in that generation, and I think seeing a Battle of the Bugs between him and Guzma would be awesome.
The Beyond Plus Ultra was excellently timed, I was waiting for that joke to come up ever since you named your Escavalier "Beyond". Especially in the context of a "Go! Beyond!" which is the dialogue when you send out Beyond.
The full spin of Grunty Boi instead of the hand motions wasn’t lost on everyone, I always wait to see what you’ll do next and this was a great option 😂
In these older Pokémon games, you can change your trainer type with you trainer ID to a bug catcher title if you really want. You can do it in this game I’m pretty sure
A suggestion, if I may. Team Sky could conquer the skies of Johto in Heartgold, considering Ho-oh is a glorious creature of the sky, and some recruits for Team Sky, including the first Gym Leader and the Champion
This made me so happy. Galvantula is legitamately my favourite pokemon, and the fact that it won you the entire game was so special to me. Edit: Wow! Over 20 likes!
Current competitive Galvantula set works like this: Galvantula Ability: Compound eyes Item: Focus Sash Idk the EVs, but one is Max Special Attack Attacks: Sticky Web Thunder Wave Thunder Bug Buzz And it's so GOOD. It can take down about half of an unprepared team, set up a Sticky Web to slow down all the enemies, Bug Buzz past a Substitute, and Thunder or Thunder Wave annoying targets.
I've started doing all bug for all my runs and it really changes things up. In Shield I easily got a well balanced team that could handle everything, but in Shining Pearl I had to sit around a few days because almost all of the bugs were only catchable from honey trees. A steel type Wormadan was MVP, sweeping multiple gyms and elite four once I got it evolved and with Quiver Dance.
I just realized, after seeing Iris as the champion, but Ash has got to be the best connected and influential person in the world, he knows and befriended nearly all gym leaders and champions-to-be/champions of all the regions he's been in... That's a terrifying forever 12year old
i actually really liked my bug focused run of sword shield. for one, it was the gen to REALLY introduce some strong as hell bugs, but you also got plenty of varied options - earth, fire, water, air bugs (heh), plus an interesting psychic bug.
Hey Mikey I highly recommend not partnering with companies that support NFTs in the future. Even if you’re not interested it does make it look like you’re promoting them (which they are not only bad for the environment but also used to scam people very easily and steal art)
Seconding. I always respect the grind and I know ad spots are essential for making a living on UA-cam, but definitely a line that needs drawing. NFTs and the blockchain have major environmental consequences.

I feel incredibly bad for Mikey having to keep the sponsor and the links in the video now that he knows NFTs are bad 😭
same
which nfts are bad?
@@euclois Most, if not all of them are. They’re essentially a pyramid scheme assigning a large amount of worth to digital collectibles (typically images), which people buy to sell in hopes of making even more money; akin to a stock market. So not only does it kind of wack out the economy, but the places that run all the NFT servers (for holding cryptocurrency I believe; which people then turn into real money) also apparently are doing some bad harm on the environment.
At the end of the day it’s really an opinion? But most can agree that NFTs do more harm than good
@@skyzeeee but nfts are a technology, like the internet. there are millions of websites with phishing, scams, virus, illegal stuff etc, but you don't bash the internet. why don't you present actual solutions for nfts uses? because there are hundreds already on the making, like L2 solutions that actually don't hurt the environment (at least no more than traditional systems) and even the argument for blockchains like bitcoin hurting the environment are very broken and flawed.

Suggestions for more type playthroughs:
Sword/Shield as the Electric Gym Leader
Any game after Gen 5 as the leader of Team Pixie Dust (Fairy types)
Sun/Moon as the Ice Trial Captain/Kahuna (Pretty tough since your first Pokémon would be Crabrawler)
Or Sword/Shield as the Flying Gym Leader
@@pathojon I figured Electric because he said he'd be an Electric Gym Leader in Galar in the same video he made his Grass Gym. And he's already done Flying-type twice
I was personally wanting to do a Fairy Type run based around Kingdom Hearts, but I'm waiting for Inclement Emerald to get the Gen 8 Pokemon update since I don't wanna go through it without using my favorite fairy. It might be possible to do in Sword/Shield but I don't have a way to get Alolan Ninetails or Primarina in the games for the team to work.
Steel Type Playthrough pf BDSP?
@@speculyn5060 his type based playthroughs usually have a gimmick to them e.g. Grass and Dark Gym Leaders in regions that don't have them, Team Sky in Hoenn against Aqua and Magma, Bug Catcher in the first region without Bug Catchers. There's nothing about Sinnoh that would tie to Steel in the same way
THIS CHANGE SHALL BE KNOWN ALL OVER UNOVA, AND BUG CATCHERS WILL BE RESPECTED LIKE GODS
Yes
the creater of pokemon was a bug catcher when he was a kid.
The sponsor was really looking awesome... but then they screwed up with the NFT and the Ethereum.
I saw the ASPITPIAY first so when I heard the name I came to the comments just to find a comment talking about it.
11:24
Mickey, I know it's a sponsor and all and the game looks also really good too, but criptocurrency is bad for the planet: every "unit" of criptocurrency is coded in a way so that it cannot be stolen.
I hope he doesn't work with this sponsor again.
mickey?😭
And on top of all of that, in order to get the best deal on all the electricity used for mining crypto, they set up their mining operations in countries with dirt-cheap coal-powered electricity. So not only are they causing harm through their electricity usage in and of itself, they're specifically using THE MOST HARMFUL means of producing it.
Just fundamentally they're an answer in search of a problem

Congratulations, Michael, on a successful playthrough as a bug catcher! You are a hero to bug catchers everywhere! Keep up the great work!
It's been big time since I saw a unova playtrough!! UNOVA GOT THE BUGS THO
This video was beyond perfect. I am definitely going to try a specific type play through like this. Micheal, Bug Catcher Champion, your acting was humorous and true to what a real life Bug Catcher trainer would act like 😂. I enjoyed every second.
BREAKING NEWS: Route 1 Bug Catcher saves bugs from being frozen to death by a grey snake
Looked more like a grey T-Rex with wings, but that's me. Either way, the Bugs are safe.
Hugh despite not being the edgiest rival is weirdly the most physical, also never forget that cheren called team plasma a waste of oxygen, my dude didn't need mommy/daddy issues, a nasty attitude and spiky hair to deal out insult
As a bug type enthusiast, and most of my favourites being from Unova, love this video!
That's why I loved using Levanny in B2W2! More often than not, if Sewaddle has Max friendship at Lv20, so you only need 1 more level to get Levanny!
As someone who loves bug types with all of my heart, I appreciate this video endlessly.
Do you think Bug Catcher Mikey might have a good time in Alola (Ultra, preferably)? After all, more powerful Bugs get introduced in that generation, and I think seeing a Battle of the Bugs between him and Guzma would be awesome.
Imagine being a Fairy-type trainer:
Unova Gym Leaders: I don't know her.
0:04 Wait Unova has no Bug Catcher? Now i know why Gen 5 was my fav. 😂
A suggestion, if I may. Team Sky could conquer the skies of Johto in Heartgold, considering Ho-oh is a glorious creature of the sky, and some recruits for Team Sky, including the first Gym Leader and the Champion
I’m actually doing a flying type only run in Crystal. There’s actually quite a few good birds lol
Team sky should take a try at Colosseum. Lots of flying types in that game surprisingly.
I'm considering starting a Team Sky chapter here in Unova. (By the way, neither LAND-on nor SEA-n are allowed.)
This made me so happy. Galvantula is legitamately my favourite pokemon, and the fact that it won you the entire game was so special to me.
Edit: Wow! Over 20 likes!
Same. Gavantula is my favorite bug-type
I almost never go a game without an electric type, and for White I chose it. However, in Black 2 I used Electross
Current competitive Galvantula set works like this:
Galvantula
Ability: Compound eyes
Item: Focus Sash
Idk the EVs, but one is Max Special Attack
Attacks:
Sticky Web
Thunder Wave
Thunder
Bug Buzz
And it's so GOOD.
It can take down about half of an unprepared team, set up a Sticky Web to slow down all the enemies, Bug Buzz past a Substitute, and Thunder or Thunder Wave annoying targets.
@@kirbyfreakyt4695 cool! Nobody asked for this but we’re all glad you gave us this
Same, i sweeped through the entire elite four on pokemon black with my galvantula and its been my favorite pokemon ever since
I did a bug type play through of Sword and I was honestly surprised how easy it was. The bug type sure has come a long way from gen 1
I did a bug run of galar too

Hey, the Bug Maniac is a Hoenn trainer class. And they're also bug-obsessed adults with glasses.
I've been so used to Nuzlockes that I forgot that normal playthroughs with healing items can be fun too

Hey Mikey I highly recommend not partnering with companies that support NFTs in the future. Even if you’re not interested it does make it look like you’re promoting them (which they are not only bad for the environment but also used to scam people very easily and steal art)
