    Oh yay! Can't wait to hear more about this. Whenever I used to do gua sha (especially after I was just starting out after not doing it for awhile) a pimple would randomly form. I thought it was the oddest thing. I would like to get back into gua sha so hopefully this video will inspire me to do so!

    Fascinating. I don't have acne or breakouts, but I found this very informative. Loved the detail about why misting is necessary to allow an oil to absorb into the skin. I love oils for cleansing as well as for moisturizing. The few times I've had a breakout caused by face oil, it was early in my use of them, and I'd used too much. Very little oil, applied gently after a mist, is what works for me.
    Sandra, I recently moved from San Francisco to Seattle. If I lived in New York I'd come in for treatments with you, both gua sha and acupuncture, but I'm on the opposite coast. Do you know of a respected gua sha/Chinese medicine practitioner in Seattle? I live Downtown by Pike Place.
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

      Indeed I find most people who hate oils often use too much at once or without dampening skin first. If you go to instagram and dm us or email support@lanshin.com, my team will send you a link to a post we made with lots of recs for practitioners outside New York ❤

    I would love to learn more about your favorite herbal skincare preperations ( oils, creams, cleansers etc and even supplements ). There is such an oversaturation of products on the market and unfortunately and painfully so, the wisdom of TCM is unfortunately left in the dust.

    I started to use my Gua Sha with an acidic cleanser that is very milky actually! Before I found this video of yours! Before I was using mineral oil as it was what I had in hand, but I really liked the cleanser with it, now I'm not sure what the second oil you recommend is as you said it was a blend and has a name like a fantasy name right? What oils does it have? The first one I remember, it was black seed oil, I will look after this one! Thank you!!

    I recently started gua sha, following your tutorial. And its just the best! But unfortunately, I too have a purge going on. They are small whiteheads in the places I used to have acne - feels like skin’s throwing out its residual trash haha.
    My question is - How should I move forward with my routine now? I have some whiteheads on my chin & some on my forehead, do I completely skip those areas?

      If they are open pimples, try covering them up with a pimple patch and then doing Gua Sha!

      We would recommend doing Gua Sha over an oil-based or balm cleanser rather than a water-based or gel cleanser because it will provide more slip for your tool.

    I get big angry zits in my armpits! 2 weeks after starting a Face Yoga & Gua regime, there they are! Could this have to do with lymphatic drainage? (I spend a LOT more time on Gua, The Lanshin Method, of course! But I typically start or end with some face yoga around the eyes.) Is this just me?

    • @Lanshin
      @Lanshin  3 місяці тому +1

      It sounds like you’re saying you started Gua Sha and face yoga and 2 weeks later developed large painful pimples at your armpits? My initial thought is that it is unrelated to doing face Gua Sha, but more details would help. Feel free to email us at support@lanshin.com ❤
