I've been trying this product for the last few weeks, and have come to some solid conclusions, and also have some tips to help it last on oilier skin types, since this product is designed for normal/dry skin!

Same here in Canada a lot of times you only get like half the shades and it's always the lightest and darkest are the ones missing. It's like pale people don't exist where we have 8 months of winter.
Why the heck do international brands have different shades / formulas / packaging in different countries?!? Ugh. 💜

I think this made your skin look beautiful and I really want to try this. I’m always sceptical with glowy foundations and my oily skin but just for a couple of hours of lectures I find that it just helps it look a little more natural and awake ☺️

It's insane how these neutral to cool toned foundations actually look really yellow on your arm swatches!
I know!! But when applied on my face, most of them blend well and match! I think the camera also heightens the colour difference!

Hi Arna! I just wanted to say thank you so much for doing a video reviewing this foundation! The US version in 02 Fair Porcelain is almost an identical shade match for 090 Lancome Teint Idole. I think we are close to the same skin tone! I really appreciate your videos and reviews! I have combination skin and I absolutely love the finish of this foundation. It looks so natural and it lasted a good amount of time for me with a little bit of setting powder and urban decay setting spray. ❤️ it is sometimes really hard for me to find a good foundation match and nice formula and this foundation is it!

I'm in Canada and I feel you on brands not releasing all of their shades/products. It's so frustrating when you hear about a product you want to try only to find out it isn't available. We have to pay significantly more for our products than our neighbors to the south too. I feel like there are a lot of similarities between Canada and Australia haha, which I have heard!

I think I saw this on your IG stories that you had bought this so I decided to try it and I absolutely love it. I think I like it even more than my beloved Loreal true match. The shade range definitely sucks. I had to buy two shades to get something that matched and I'm not particularly pale. I'm 34 with dry skin it it looked flawless on my skin all day long. Even in the Brisbane humidity 👌

I love this foundation. I have tried it only a couple of time, but it looks so skin like. I have mature oily skin and it is beautiful but I do find it rad at all. Good job drug store.

FIrst time I put it on, (and I took a BIG chance guessing the undertone in store).. I had the exact same reaction as you! I literally said wow lol. Definitely the type of medium coverage which shows your natural skin through and, I found even if I didn't get the best shade, because you can see my skin colour show through slightly, it helps pump up the natural feel.
Absolutely!! It’s a lovely formula when you first put it on! Sadly it’s not holding up the best on me throughout the day though 😅

How would you compare the Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid Foundation to the DB Luminous Hydrating Foundation? 💛
The DB has more coverage IMO, and has the potential to break apart a little more throughout the day, although the Hourglass Primer helps with that!

I was at the drugstore the other wanting to pick up a specific foundation but they didn’t have my shade :( and I saw this foundation on the shelves and I was very intrigued so I just grabbed the lightest shade and purchased it. I am usually the lightest shade in drugstore foundations, and since I live in a America there were all twenty shades. So when I went home to try it out it was way to cool for me! I have a warm-neutral undertone any recommendations to save it ?
Try adding a yellow colour corrector to it :)

Only 16 shades listed on Boots online in the UK.
yours is the best skin match I have ever seen with this foundation. Everyone else got shades that oxidized or just too dark to begin with.

I was super excited about this foundation, i have review of it going up today on my channel. I found the shade alabaster to be extremely pale with an almost blue undertone in person. Like too pale for me and I'm a ghost. Lol. I didnt love this foundation as much as i wanted too. Found it made me look drier somehow. I have dry combo skin. I'm going to give it another go though. Perhaps a shade up. I preferred the new Wetnwild dewy one.
Good to know about the shade... Lol sounds like my shade. I make everyone around me look darker.

Over my time as a beauty reviewer, I’ve definitely come to learn that if a foundation is too light, it just won’t look flattering, no matter the formula, and especially if it’s not full coverage. It’ll kind of look as if it’s sitting on top of the skin, and can give that dry kind of appearance. I definitely suggest getting a darker shade (maybe even a shade darker than you’d normally wear so you can mix it with the 00 Alabaster shade), as I think you’ll enjoy it much better!!
@@ArnaAlayneMorton I'm going to try mixing it with my Covergirl Healthy Elixir because the lightest it in it way to deep but the formula is amazing. I was hoping this foundation would be like it. Thank you for the advice. It's a tricky balance finding the shades light enough without it getting that dry patchy look. Have you tried the Loreal Fresh Wear? They have a lovely shade called Pearl. It's perfect for winter but if i get some color i mix a tad of the shade up.
Brands do the same here in South Africa. We a rainbow nation.... all the beautiful colours should be catered for!!! 🌈

Even in the USA, Ulta near me did only have about 10-12 shades. The lightest one was the 02. But the shades actually looks more lighter than it looks in the bottle.

They sell a completely different set of shade names and numbers in the U.K. It’s ridiculous. Same thing with the L’Oreal freshwear foundation. The US have 400 pearl and our lightest shade is 15 porcelain 🙄

It IS "very transferry," as you say. You can't touch it at all. When I tried it I thought this looked pretty on my 50 y/o, oily, pale skin at first but it just didn't last on me, even with setting powder. There's no way I'd ever be able to wear this for more than an hour in hot weather. It lasted maybe 5 hrs at most in cold weather, even powdered down. It looked really pretty on my cheeks where I am dryer, but on my my t-zone looked totally worn off. Also, I couldn't get the color right- the palest color is very yellow.

I'm a medium cool tone complexion which so hard to find. You can find cool light tones super easy, but medium cool tones are so hard to find.
I agree, that must be hard!! Medium shades often pull yellow :(

If a hydrating, luminous foundation stays on your face for hours, I don't think you have oily skin. Maybe normal to oily. On my skin, a mattifying foundation lasts about 2-3 hours. After that it cakes, breaks and looks like oily shit.
I mean, how long is a piece of string? Skin can be a little oily, mostly oily, sometimes oily, and like a fry pan 😅 I definitely have normal to oily dehydrated skin, because when I wash my face, and leave it natural, my skin will be oily within 20 minutes but can feel tight because of the dehydration due to trans-epidermal water loss (not to be confused with dryness caused by lack of oil).
