Hi, I managed to stick the chip and now I have the speakers on display, but still no sound, what else should I do? I have tx-nr509 and the hdmi board has 12 capacitors, do they all need to be changed? Didn't I heat it up enough?
Hello, good an icu be also the problem taht spotify refuse to stream? it shows what is or should be playing but it freezes. I can stream music from my nas. and everything else works. only spotify streaming stopped suddenly to work
Nice Video really appreciated. Sir I want a favor from from I am having Onkyo PR-SC 5508 AV Controller which have some issue no menu for information is displayed on TV screen. But if you put source in HDMI in or HDMI in front content is display on TV. Secondly on the flip panel button setup is not working but not working from remote , third pure audio is not working when button is pressed or nor led light is on when button. Kindly request your good self to let know what to test and point of fault may be . Thanks
Hi Darko, the IC has been damaged by overvoltage. The overvoltage may be caused by disconnecting the HDMI cable. That's why I explained that the HDMI cable should not be disconnected during operation. This can extend the life of the ONKYO. Hope it helps you further.
My Onkyo AV NR-TX616 has just had the problem the same as in this video. I think I should try to trouble shoot it according to this instruction. Don't know I will success or not buy I see this video is useful. Thank you so much !
How did you get on? My TX-NR616 has got a failed DPS chip (the one that means no sound via ARC), AND the network chip too!! I don't suppose anyone has a fix for the network chip as the repair for the DPS is identical to this one.

Der TX-NR737 ist ein älteres Modell und wurde in 2014 produziert. Der TX-NR686 wurde in 2018 produziert und ist ein neueres Modell. Im Netz habe ich ein Video gefunden, in dem der TX-NR686 mit derselben Tastenkombination (CBL/SAT & ON/STDBY) zurückgesetzt wird, wie der TX-NR737. Daher beantworte ich die Frage mit "Ja". Ob alle Tastenkombinationen auf das neuere Modell übertragbar sind, kann ich nicht sagen. 2. Ich würde mir zunächst auch den besagten IC näher anschauen. Die Schäden waren bei mir mit dem bloßen Auge sichtbar. Entstanden sind die Schäden bei mir vermutlich durch zu häufiges Stecken und Abziehen des HMDI Kabels während dem laufenden Betrieb. Was ich aber aus dieser Sache gelernt habe... ich werde den ihn woanders aufbauen (besser belüftet), und den IC‘s Kühlkörpern verpassen, und noch einen Lüfter ins Gehäuse bauen. Hi. Ich hoffe, dass du noch aktiv bist :) Ich habe ein Problem mit meinem Onkyo AV-Receiver TX-NR636. Das Problem ist, dass ich mit meiner ps4 pro und ps5 erst Bild/Ton über hdmi bekomme, sobald ich den Quellenanschluss teste. Vorher bekomme ich gar kein Bild/Ton oder komische Bildfehler. Danach kann ich ca. 2,5 Stunden spielen und dann kommt es zu Bildfehlern und das Signal verschwindet komplett, bis ich wieder den Quellenanschluss teste. Dann kann ich wieder 15 Minuten spielen und danach verschwindet das Signal wieder. Bin mit meinem Latein am Ende und hoffe du kannst mir helfen. Lg
Hallo, wenn der Fehler im laufenden Betrieb auftreten würde, hätte ich auf ein Überhitzungsproblem getippt. Das hättest du einfach testen können, in dem du den Receiver ohne Gehäuse betreibst. Wenn der Fehler ohne Gehäuse nicht mehr auftritt, dann ist der Grund die Abwärme, die nicht abgeleitet werden kann. Du könntest das Problem dann mit einem Lüfter beheben … In deinem Fall gehe ich von einem (bereits) beschädigten Bauelement z.B. IC aus. versuche mal den Fehler auszulesen. Ich habe hierzu ein eigenes Video erstellt. Unmittelbar nach dem Start. Dann wenn das Gerät funktioniert und dann sobald die Fehler auftreten. Und dann Vergleichst du die Ergebnisse. Mit etwas Glück erhältst du Hinweis auf den defekten IC, der betroffen ist.

The ARC has stopped working (the DPS chip needs heating up like in this video apparently), but I also have no network (another chip issue) and my USB port does not recognise anything in it either. I have seen other videos about heating the DPS chip, but I don't know if that is what you have to do to the network chip too, or even which one it is! Do you have a video about that? Many thanks

HDMI out isnt spiting image on Tv, I see nothing , it says no display ..model Tx NR 656 , is this the capacitor issue?
