I loved seeing you, Nikki, and Heidi all helping each other through the locks. You've all become such good friends and just seem to work together effortlessly. It will be hard saying goodbye as you each go your own way once you get to the junction, but I'm sure you'll see each other again in the near future. (I also follow Heidi's vlog, and really love seeing you guys on each other's channels!)
Aww thanks Chris, yes, it is hard saying goodbye after being together for so long. But we’re lucky, with social media, we’re only a message away 😃 so makes it a little easier xx
Hi Julie& Martin, friends working together, that make the work more fun. We wish our snow disappeared that quickly; it was like magic. Thank you for sharing another adventure. Bryan & Donna
Hi Brian & Donna 😊 Yes, the snow came one day, melted by the evening, then snowed overnight and the next morning, all looked beautiful, then by midday the next day it had all gone! Bonkers weather! 😂 The teamwork at the locks was great fun too, thanks again for watching our little videos xx
Fantastic:) It was a real surprise and a treat meeting up with you guys at Barbridge this week, thank you for calling into our little chandlery:) Whilst watching the video I can see that you guys have really looked after Rhapsody and made her your own ! To the point she looks even better now than she did when I painted her. Love the channel, your personalities shine!
Aww thanks Steve! You certainly did a good job painting Rhapsody in Blue, we often get asked who the painter was and now we know! Martin does try to keep on top of it, he loves polishing her 😃 Was lovely to meet you and Joe too. Thank you for your lovely comment re the vlog, so nice of you to say xx
Well done Julie for getting your head around the staircase locks 👏 good to see you at the tiller, even if it wasn't yours 😂 those three boats and their crew certainly know to look after each other and have a laugh, so good to see 😊 stay safe
Love this vlog. Great seeing you do the staircase - hard work but easier with the four of you working together. Much easier for the girls too which is great. So lovely to see you all working as a team - hope you’re all back together again soon. Safe travels.
Hi Guys, this vlog just encompasses what is attracting me to the canals, the friendliness, it was more like the three amigos than a quiet trip in the countryside, I am a suscriber to Heidi ( mad as a bucket of frogs ) Nikki doesn't do you tube but she gets mentioned by everyone and seems to be an absolute diamond on the canals, as for yourselves, many many thanks for sharing your journeys and your life 💕💕👍
Hi Nigel, yes, the boating community is fantastic, it’s lovely meeting different people and sometimes spending a few weeks with them before going your own way, but then a few months later meeting up by chance again miles away, or even on a different canal. Most boaters are friendly and helpful too, we always refer to living on a boat as ‘going back in time when everyone was nice to each other’. If you break down in a car, people just whizz by and ignore you, if you break down in a boat, you just put the kettle on and wait for the next boat, as they WILL help you! We loved spending time with Heidi and Nikki, they are hilarious and are now very good friends, we’re hoping to meet up again next year! Thank you so much for watching us too, it’s lovely to have you with us xx
Evening, won’t be the last time I watch this episode, staircase locks are the one thing on the system that confuses me, that’s a great tip about big trees and mooring if a storms coming, every days a learning day 😊
Hi Bob, staircase locks used to really worry me and I was always relieved to see volunteers on at the locks, but once you understand how they work, they’re ok. Once you see them in real life working, it starts to make sense and then it’s all good. Glad our video helped, we tried to explain it. Re the trees, there’s often notification emails from CRT during and after storms of trees going down across the canals, so we always make sure there are no large trees that can fall over in the high winds! Also, we try and find open areas to help with solar too. Thanks Bob! xx
Great to see you all helping each other through the locks. What a wonderful community to live in ❤ another great video, you certainly have some fun times 😂
A great Vlog with some wonderful sites of the countryside around where you go. I wouldn't fancy going up Grindley stair case locks. A friends 5 year old daughter said you could of had a paddle on that flooded foot pathway. Stay safe safe travels
Lol, I suppose I could’ve had a paddle, but knowing me I’d have fallen over lol 😂 would’ve made good viewing though haha 😂 I was so pleased to get through Grindley Brook, now we’ve done it , I won’t be worried about doing others, thanks Sid, hope you’re well xx
Yes, we watch them, all their feathers ruffled up keeping warm, we love the snow though, when it’s freezing outside and all toasty warm inside, thanks Zona xx
I really was, I really wanted lockies to be on, but there were a lot of boats going down that day, so I got a bit of practice in before it was our turn, so it was quite good in the end. Hoe you’re both well xx 😘
Given the evidence I have just viewed, I can tell you two are being led astray by the Rum Wench 😂. You all look like you are having a right hoot. It's so good to see. Great job on the staircase Julie, fantastic effort. Roll on June ✈️✈️✈️
Lol, yes, we’ve spent a lot of time with Heidi, we’ve had lots of giggles! 🤭 Thanks re staircase, we did it ok in the end 😊 Bet you can’t wait for June, not long now, just a couple of months!!! 😃 xx
Well done. You're filming technique is getting better each week. Martin needs to talk more so we can be sure he's not under any duress. Haha. Stick with Heidi. She's the best. Safe and pleasant sailing to you all from the Bay State!
@@peterbrown5816 aww thank you! Heidi is great, we’ve had a wonderful winter together. Thank you for your lovely compliment, I only use my mobile phone for filming, so it’s really nice to receive a comment like this xx
Really enjoyed this vlog. Can’t believe we have never known about the Park cafe at Wrenbury we have moored there so many times aswell. We shall have to try it next time is it up past the Village Stores 😊
Hi Carol, yes, you walk up past the village stores, approx another 100 yards, you’ll see the medical centre on the left and it’s there. Lovely food, lovely people and a gift shop too 😊 xx
We are now moored up a few boat’s behind Heidi at Hurleston. Don’t think 🤔 she is there though as boat is all locked 🔒 up. Where are you now. We are heading towards Middlewich xx
@@carolgerrard Hi Carol, we’re at Barbridge, just before the junction 😊 we’ll be getting diesel from the fuel boat tomorrow, then will be winding and heading to Nantwich in the afternoon. Hopefully we may see you on your way through! xx
Great vlog again guys tell Martin he is turning your boat into a floating mirror. Your boat must get 1st prize for the shiniest boat on the canals. Your putting us to shame
Passed you a couple of times on the Llangollen, the last being on that windy Hailing day at Wrenbury. You had the sense to moor up 😂. Must try the park coffee shop , it looked lovely Carole & Dave NB Bethsada
Hi Maxine & Steve, yes, the towpath was non-existent lol, it probably wasn’t very deep, but you couldn’t see if there were any holes, so didn’t like to chance it. But I got a ride on the Rum Wench with Heidi, so was great fun! xx
I am wanting to come from the US and take a holiday of a month or two on a narrow boat. I have this little rule..... I go nowhere without my dog. Wondering if any of your viewers know what it takes to bring in a pet from the US and then the reverse when I go home. He is going to be 10 to 12 lbs. Has rabies shot, distemper, long acting flea, and will be on heart worm prevention medication. Watching all your videos from the beginning.... noticeable improvement in quality. voice sound level consistency needs a bit of work. I lost the dog in my thumbnail 2 weeks ago.... but i have a new 4 month old blue eyed male puppy of the same breed.
Hi there, I really am not sure how you go about bringing your dog over for a month, but I’m sure it is possible. Our friends @OneDayMoreAboard may be able to help you as the moved across from the US with three little doggies and onto a narrowboat. Thank you for the compliments, so pleased you are enjoying our little videos. Regarding the sound, the bit I struggle with is when we are at locks, the water is so loud, but turning the sound down then quietens my voice too, I’m sure I’ll get there in the end! So sorry to hear you lost your dog, very sad, hope your new one has settled in ok 🥰 xx
Aww thank you Julie xx Heidi certainly had a style of her own, all tongue in cheek and lots of fun. It’s nice that we’re all different, so so pleased you’re enjoying our videos, that means a lot to us xx 😘
