I can tell you that buying tuners, a bridge, pickups, a neck, and a body is much more expensive than buying a guitar. I don't doubt that his family may have been on a tight budget, so I'm sure they didn't rush out and buy him a Les Paul right out of the gate. He probably had some cheap Kay or sears crap that he played. I just doubt all the over exaggerated "I was dirt poor and couldn't afford air", bull that these artists try to say about themselves. Now, if you feel you have the need to personally defend Nuno's honor, and further "set me straight on the facts", save it.
