I feel like most games with both pvp and pve modes try this in one way or another. The only time it works is in open world games, specifically allowing pvp enabled zones on pve maps.
Now while I don't like liberty balls either, this comment and it's replies are kind of disingenuous because Cold War did just that. The launch of Cold War zombies was really successful because of warzone and multi-player players.

One thing no one ever talks about with armour vs shields is the fact ALL hits taken is wearing away at armour at all times. But for shields, ONLY hits from behind and when you actively use the shield is it breaking Hits from the front and side are not chipping away damage to it permanently so shields just naturally last FAR longer than armour and work much better as a piece of equipment that you can use in a pinch
Plus shield being on the back is more useful. Not being able to get hit from the back has helped me get out of situations that armor wouldn’t have helped. You’re right now one talks about the armor vs shields which actually surprises
Also! Why would ZOMBIES care about Kevlar body armor?? They are zombies! They go for the closest thing that is flesh! Arms, legs, head! ANYTHING! It’s not like zombies have guns… a riot shield actually holds back zombies. Just look at the walking dead, no one bothers with armor unless it’s against humans….

I don’t think so. As long as they keep armor out of multiplayer I’m good. It also gave us Modern warfare zombies apparently. So we have warzone to thank for that I guess.

Cold war didn't have manual replating either, in cold war you'd also run over the plates to replate. MW3 was technically the first introduction to the manual plating
His point was that the *best* way to refill your armor was to manually go up to the machine and hit the button that gives you all of it back. The armor plate drops aren't super common either, which makes it pretty hard to upkeep in that way only. Is a little bit silly to not refer to it in the slightest however.
@@therpderp No he mentioned that in a different context before the whole manually plating thing. Besides, having to go to a station to refill it when it breaks was literally the system we were working with since Black Ops 2 with the shields regarding the replacing of broken armor. but yeah seriously i thought i was tweaking
@@therpderp Yeah but then wouldn't vanguard also be considered that too? Cause you'd still have to go to the crafting bench and keep going back and forth, id say that I did it more in vanguard than cold war since the armor system in that game felt much weaker, and the armor drops in vanguard were mainly in the objective modes not round based. In cold war when you had I think death perception did it? But it would have a higher chance for salvage drops and other drops too?
Warzone RUINED zombies and MP. They tried to have this continuity across modes but it just DOESNT work. And not everyone wants the same things who enjoy the different modes.
One of my issues with the whole weapon system is that we can just have bad or good weapons anymore, everything has to be viable, so now all the guns in a class just blend together and nothing stands out anymore making the weapons more forgettable

There is no question that it truly started at BO4 with Blackout getting priority with the budget and zombies getting shafted. The big problem with modern zombies is that they have destroyed side progression. The shield, specialist weapons, tactical equipment, extra perks, upgrade quests and many more things have been taken out for overpowered shallow features that you receive at spawn or in a selection screen. The beauty of Blundell zombies was that everything you needed was given to you in the core loop, PAP, Perks, Weapons and Wonder Weapons are all you need to survive in zombies, but there were several other optional unique quests and rewards you could achieve. All you can do now is PAP, get perks and the wonder weapon. Instead of building and upgrading the shield you have armour from a machine, instead of the feeding the dogs for the hells retriever you have a workbench, instead of the origins red dig sites there is no perk limit, instead of the soe skull rituals you have field upgrades that you pick before the game, instead of upgrading bows you PAP. This is only scratching the surface, dozens of incredibly fun, unique and interesting quests have been scrapped so little timmy can have his overpowered warzone features.
Novelty for replayability. Those área novel, however, they get old _really_ quickily. Sure, 8 Perks on origins? Amazing! Do they same running around for an hour 10 times in a row? Fml Same with anything else. Especially if the thing that makes the map playable/enjoyable is what is hidden behind bars
@@Javy_Chandso ironic you say that, Cold War got old so fast and nobody goes back to play it but people are always going back to blops 2 and 3 like bffr origins is like the most replayable map ever made

I'm firmly on the side that Zombies has been corrupted by these Warzone features and the Warzone mindset. The game devs need to stand up to the pressure.
We, the gaming community at large, need to stop going after game devs and appeal directly to the suits in charge. They make all these awful decisions, the devs just program them. Yet the development studio gets all the public backlash while companies like Activision get all the profit and none of the scorn.
“Just spawn in with a pistol” I’m so sick of this non argument by loadout defenders. Spawn in with a pistol in Cold War and tell me does it play like bo3? No. It doesn’t. Starting pistols were made to be point builders, to weaken the zombies so you can knife them early game. They aren’t killing past round 2. Spawning with a pistol in Cold War just doesn’t do anything to help the issue, you could still get to round 10 with a loadout pistol in Cold War alone I hate this stupid argument people blindly throw around as if we can play the old way at any time and are choosing not to, that is NOT the case. The starting from zero progression is GONE
@@DanielPelikan-f1cthat’s not the point😂 if bo3 still updated and new maps and stuff came out I guarantee a very high percentage of people would play that instea
In my opinion, the whole point of having a Zombies/Extinction/Spec-Ops mode was for a refreshing change in gameplay. Now, it’s all starting to feel the same and blended together. Let Warzone be Warzone and let Zombies be Zombies.
Juggernog WAS armor and it worked just fine, no matter what round or how much damage you are doing you know exactly where you stand with the zombies. Flexible zombie damage is a bad idea and no one wants to get through 15+ plus easy rounds just to feel like the zombies are a threat. Zombies should be a threat from round one until your last round and there is nothing wrong with players having to learn this and get better. If I pass a round and take seven hits and go down in six next round i'm gonna feel cheated. EDIT: Why are points skewed so high? Did we have Zombie inflation? These points values are insane and it makes it hard to understand how many points you really have.
Exactly. Zombies should feel like a threat like, they do in the early rounds both the 2 hit system where you could go down instantly if you’re not positioned right. When CW launched I remember it taking like 10 hits to go down if you picked up one armor plate until round 8-9, which is so dumb and hurts the progression.
You are absolutely right. Early CW rounds feel like a waste of time because it would take AFK gameplay to go down. I personally like three hit downs but if the game launches with 14+ plus hit downs like we are hearing then zombies has lost sight of it's appeal.
You ain’t played modern warfare zombies then. The zombies feel like a threat, much more than they have in the past. There are more of them, they spawn almost anywhere and not just from windows so they can pop up in front of you pretty much out of nowhere. They are faster. Some have armor. There is mega abominations, and disciples and the hellhounds are annoying as f.
The charm of older Treyarch Cods was how different each part of the game was. Getting WaW, Bo1, BO2 and Bo3 almost feel like you’re getting 3 games for one with campaign, zombies and multiplayer. Now it sort of feels like the Treyarch CODs feel less massive of a game since the Warzone mechanics are standardized across all parts of the game :(

"just spawn with a pistol" is not even a valid arguement because they changed the point system. Spawning in with a pistol helped with getting points but now you only get points based off of kills so you're just being punished for choosing a pistol over a shotgun
That isn't the issue... starting with a pistol solves the issue of mf's crying about being to use an OP weapon off rip. Maybe zombies claw you with bullets in their fingers? Yeah, definitely that. Actually that'd be an interesting concept if armor plates exist for countering powerful ranged zombies/creatures - no armor plates no protection, but in return they don't protect against normal zombies and normal zombies don't destroy armor plates just to keep it balanced. Alternatively, 2-3 hit downs and no extra HP (armor) and all the people who complain zombies is too hard that way can deal with the skill issue.
@@CJS3637_MforAone I would make campaigns actual campaigns and not warzone maps; multiplayer will be a side thing; and zombies will get all of the budget thereafter. Also, scrap the one-a-year thing and, out of interest, see what subseries were planned to have sequels originally (Ghosts and Infinite Warfare for example) and just let them try, just to see what happens. Can't be worse than MWIII. OH, and a single standalone Zombies game that has every zombies map from WaW to BO4 reworked for a single unified gameplay style more akin to BO1/2 for everyone to enjoy the original storyline's content without the pain of needing 50 games and 1000 DLC.
Man, I wish COD would take a look at the entire communities of people making maps for and still supporting old zombies from WaW, BO, BO2, and BO3 and realize that people don’t want the innovation of new features like armor and all that kind of crap but want good maps with modern graphics, new stories, simple game play where you just show up in the map, buy guns off the wall and work your way through Easter eggs with your buddies for hours on end and remember the story, not the fact that you have armor. I remember going through the cutscenes celebrating with my friends after three hours in Shadows of Evil and completing the Easter egg over the experience of being able to drop an item on the ground.
It shouldn’t be that complicated, we all loved the original zombies maps, we only got 4 per game. That’s all they need to do, just keep making more of the same. Don’t fix what was never broke
I can understand trying to change to innovate but don’t fix what wasn’t broke. Cause this was a great formula and idk how people were getting bored of sick of it cause that’s zombies if you went to make changes then okay do it but black ops 4 made things way way too different
7:30 Around this time you were presenting that Cold War had you re-plate manually, then you said Vanguard did something good by just picking up the armor drops. idk how much Cold War Zombies you’ve played Milo but there is no manual re-plating in Cold War. The armor in Cold War works the exact same as Vanguard (aside from Vanguard combining common and rare salvage into one currency). Manual re-plating of armor started in MW3Z and is unfortunately returning in BO6
Couldn’t have worded it better but i would also include that in old cods like bo3 you still had to manually go over to a workbench to grab a new shield but imo cold wars armour system is perfect
Treyarch told us we were getting “OG round based” when in reality we’re getting warzone zombies with garbage mechanics like armor plates, score streaks, loot, weapon rarities and loadouts.
@mustacheman4476 said this to multiple of u dumb fools it's just criticism and if people can't understand that then yall need to get away from gaming cause it's not for yall weak willed people so "cry"
What kind of question is that? Obviously, yeah. Not just black ops six zombies but all of zombies since Cold War. And it’s not just zombie mode. Warzone even changed multiplayer and campaign for good. Warzone has changed Call of duty forever.
Bo3 was the last true zombies experience. Wish I could go back to 2008 and play the waw campaign for the first time again, and unlock Nacht der Untoten for the first time all over again.
@MrAjking808 you're smoking crack if you think the same charm is still there. This isn't nostalgia speaking. This is just a straight up fact at this point.
To be fair BO3 started the Specialist / Operator weapons in Zombies. Ruin’s Gravity Spikes = Richtofen’s Ragnarok DG-5’s (in Der Eisendrache and BO4. Seraph’s Annihilator is literally in The Giant. Firebreak’s Purifier = Nikolai’s Flamethrower (minus the Tornado feature) in BO4. Spectre’s Ripper = Takeo’s Katana in BO4 (minus the lunge until it levels up). The only exception is Dempsey’s Minigun because it’s quite literally the Death Machine from other Zombies modes but that also stemmed from Campaign, Multiplayer and Reaper’s Minigun Arm thing was also a specialist weapon but I won’t count that one. I also won’t count the Tempest being the Tag Wunderwaffe because it’s a quest weapon, same with the Bows in Der Eisendrache, which would be compared to Outrider’s Bow in this case. The BO4 Chaos weapons are all very unique and not ripped from other modes so good job on those. TL:DR; BO3 started the Specialist System in Zombies and then it was greatly expanded on in BO4.
Hey now, 1:50 I look back on WW2 zombies fondly. The design of the zombies and monsters was awesome. The maps were fun to me and the puzzles were fun as well. Also no wonder they hid the hud during the reveal. They had lame armor plates in it
WW2 is a masterpiece to me, you'd think after the shit show of zombies we have had since then, the community would appreciate it.... Final reich is beautiful
9:01 To illustrate the lack of care given to zombies game design in BO6: the bottom left section of the HUD is carried over from Warzone, where currency isn't especially useful. You'll use it to buy your buddy's respawn every ten minutes, but you don't use it constantly like you do in zombies. The fact that this number is so small because it was carried over and never curated to the zombies mode is heartbreaking.
i dont disagree i just think its overblown. these are such small things. the points being too small on the screen is HEARTBREAKING? lol its going to be okay. they lost the plot with zombie modes that werent round based. as long as the game is about more and more zombies chasing you, round after round, looking for better weapons, paping those weapons and chugging perks, trying to survive as long as you can, it will be zombies and probably be a good time. i think cold war is awesome. i like the shields and i like the weapon rarities. its just another level to what we already had. we use to have different weapons we could pap. now we have different weapons and rarities, giving you more options. the choice to use a weapon you perhaps would not have simply because its a higher rarity.
People always say “Just start with a pistol” I tried it, it doesn’t feel the same when you 1 shot a Zombie in the leg op to round 4 and have ammo capacity of 200+ bullets.
That's all MW3Z is... War Zone or DMZ but PvE instead. That's it. There's almost ZERO difference otherwise. PaP ,perks, etc that's all part of the enemy scaling honestly, so it's filed under PvE changes. There is nothing war zone had that Zombies doesn't. At least out break felt like its own thing... this just feels.... well, recycled
How hard is it to make simple zombies like BO1, BO2 and BO3 but with better graphics? The devs and all the above who work for these companies are stupid and deluded.
@@MajorCinnamonBunsthey did stretch it far with bo1,2,3. It was actually creative each and every time. It still has room if you take away the Warzone implementations, and try new stuff.
Black ops 3 using wallrunning and double jump and swimming in its maps with little complaints just goes to show how well it used mp features without just adding them everywhere
The issue is not features from Warzone. It's the lack of zombification of those features. Specialists in Bo3 on every map are a result of that feature being created in MP. But it was very zombified with the sword, dragon, building the DG 4 so everyone loved it. Meatballs are a literal killstreak from Bo3. Wall running on DE was a direct result of MP features. They need to zombify armor, and ammo crate. They can solve loadouts by making it so that attachments only get added once you pack a punch. .
You know the tryarch team are made of people who are doing this for a nine to five when they could literally make the ammo box a chalk outline wallbuy like they did in WaW custom maps. You could literally do just that and boom. Instant gratification. But they instead cater to the lowest common demoninator to get a paycheck cause little Timmy needs that instant dopamine or else he'll go back go fifa or fortnite
I'd like to point out They didnt replicate the advanced movement on every character like exo-zombies They just trickled it in when it was needed or when it could be used like DE, SoE and rev but besides the 3 or 4 maps you see it in its not across every map or character which would've broken bo3 zombies completely as warzone is doing now
I know I’m super late but I think Cold War and bo6 zombies was made for grandpas and grandmas. My grandpa and I played bo1 when I first came out and o my played five, he wasn’t the greatest but he always wanted to play. Bo2 came out and him and I fell in love with it, belive it or not he did like die rise he said it was super difficult but was a cool theme. He played infinite warfare zombies, Cold War and now I just got him on bo6 he himself has noticed the game is way easier, I live to see it cuz he can play bo6 with ease and makes him feel good getting back into gaming. For the shield problem. Why don’t you just not use the shield plates it’s kinda just playing normal zombies, you can’t complain you die fast but that’s what it was like back than you don’t need to plate or anything just play raw idk
Ngl I find Fortnite to be the root issue of many current fps games... Countless games follow the same exact model of having dumbed dumbed down gameplay mechanics to appeal to general play bases yet heavily focusing on battlepasses and cosmetics excusing it as game “content”
I think I can say for sure that certain particular things that are integral to the essence of zombies have been corrupted by warzone, more specifically the personality of the mode (shield system, unique huds, health system, isolated and outnumbered feeling etc)
Milo wtf are you talking about? Cold War didn’t have manual replating you repair your armor at the armor station and zombies can drop armor plates that you just have to run over and it automatically repairs your armor. It was the same system from CW to Vanguard. Manual replating was introduced with the shitshow that was MW3 zombies
As much as I hate the warzone systems in zombies, because zombies was always separate from multiplayer, it would be a welcome change to at LEAST make the stuff look like zombies.. ya know.. the zombie charm, aura, vibe, aesthetic... make zombies it's own thing again. Cater to the zombies fans, the ones who kept the mode alive, not warzone players who could give a crap about zombies
Let me go on the record saying ever since they started changing stuff in BO4 people were mad .. then it got worse in Cold War… and now this is where we’re at … we didn’t want anything to change from BO3 that game perfected the mode and they should’ve just kept it going

Cold War zombies makes you run to a armor dummy and rebuy plates every round it’s really not too different in the idea that it’s annoying, unneeded, and not fun
@@nateb5544this is factually incorrect. Running over armor plates and ammo pickups in CW automatically picks them up and uses them to replenish whatever resource they apply, unless you're directly picking up a full armor set
Another point that I feel like gets glossed over when it comes to all these new warzone mechanics, is that zombies feels geared more towards getting in and getting out now. In Cold War, people play in public matches to get more xp, and due to them searching for the fastest route for xp, they also exfil early or straight up leave. The armor system makes the early game super safe and late game a massive spike comparatively. Yet not many go for high rounds in public/general gameplay. It feels like the overall feel of the mode is to cash out on the iconography of the mode and keep it feeling like warzone/multiplayer gameplay for their target audience. I had been playing bo3 recently to get back into the swing of zombies, and now I’m currently playing Cold War zombies. Just last week I could boot up Kino, on chronicles, and find multiple groups trying to go as long as they could. In Cold War, most of my matches have been people leaving at round 11 or 16 when not everyone wants to exfil. Then, of course, I get booted back to the lobby because the game can’t handle host migrations. I think the problems run much deeper than these surface level mechanics. You said something along the lines of, “it feels like a spiritual let down.” It’s as if the soul of the game mode itself has changed. I’m afraid these changes are too far gone to be fixed, but I will hold out hope. One last thing, I wish the devs and higher ups see your videos. They need a fire lit underneath them, and I’m glad you provide the fuel, Milo. RIP Rodolfo 🪨
I was always a fan of getting in game playing till round 35-40 and then call it a day but why you leaving early wtf for cause I do get bored eventually but I love the grind and getting everything I love the old games I still play them to this day
@@criscabrera9098 I love ‘em too! And I really enjoy trying to go for high rounds or 35-40 for weapon grinding. But unfortunately, leaving early is “best” for xp grinding because zombie xp drops off after round 10 in CW. IMO, it feels like the mode is cashing out by adding surface level implements that are inspired from the other mp game modes. Don’t get me wrong, trying to make the mode more inviting to new players is a good thing, but it shouldn’t kneecap the rest of the fan base. Plus, if new players stick to it, there’s less of a skill ceiling to achieve in zombies now… and don’t get me started again on them making high rounds feel less rewarding. Overall, the game is still a lot of fun to me… but mainly in solo lobbies instead of public, unlike old cod zombies. At least for me. I’m sure others may have an all-round more positive experience.
For me, it feels like more and more systems are becoming menus. Buying armor, crafting, pac a punch, the all in one perk machine, and so on. It takes you out of the game play, slows it down, and is annoying
Without attachments I don't think the M1911 was OP. it was definitely still stronger than any other iteration of it, but it wouldn't carry you by any means.
In Cold War, you don’t manually play up armor. Either the only time you do that is that the armor dummy however zombie drop armor and crate drop armor you walk over it automatically refill your armor bar.
Personally, i lost interest in Zombies when they first implemented super sprinters. It makes the game unplayable in a way that it forces u to sit in certain spots with certain WW's. It takes away the entire part of finding strats that are x seconds/horde faster i.e. more efficient. I mean ppl still strategize în BO1/BO2 even in BO3, because the games had so much potential. Nowadays i legit see ppl do their first 100 on the very first game after the launch of BO6. Also old modes like first room are pretty much dead, cause it's capped till the first super sprinters spwan. ^ I honestly don't understand how ppl pay 80+ € for this trash...
Funny how Vanguard also fixed the rarity problem by having it based on PAP levels instead of the wrenches. So hitting the box actually did have a purpose high rounds. But in contrast, that also made pack a punch irrelevant sometimes. I feel if we removed rarities and kept PAPing at 3 tiers and the box only distributing weapons at base rarity, there would be use of the systems again. And as a way to fix The absence of double tap, PAP can simply upgrade your rechamber/fire rate by 11% with each pap up to 33% to match what double tap did originally. That way, everyone’s happy
I think another big point regarding armor, is that unlike armor stolen from a battle royale mode, is that the shields (and even kind of the geistkraft) had some sort of identity and uniqueness that make them feel like they belong in zombies. Just by having a zombies-esque skin strapped onto it, makes it a lot more digestible. Reusing game systems isn’t a problem - not giving zombies its own identity is the problem.
10:10 when you look at the shield you think of zombie because it was part of the map. Every shield had an unique design, an ability and sometimes even a place in eastereggs. Armor is just there, no depth whatsoever. Classic zombie was all about reaching things with steps, nothing was granted, nothing was free, nothing was just a menu to buy things, where the only limit is how many points you need.
Yes and at least for me the first 20 rounds where always the best. Grinding your desired set-up while being at high risk of dying. Now they killed it everything is so easy, boring and soulless. I feel like forgot what made zombie fun.
@@nathanfc5386 I totally agree. It was much easier to die on round 3 trying to knife some zombies to squeeze points rather than on 50 with wounder weapons. Modern zombie it is just easy period.
8:28 This is the same exact issue that Payday 3 has. Armor that has to be regenerated through pickups or intractable things is just a bad mechanic outside of battle royale and I don't know why more games are choosing to adopt it.
Dispite what most think I think Payday 3 has the potential to do it great. However, how it stands now feels very shallow. I'm still hoping they give it a good shot at making it work.
11:46 The argument of "just start with a pistol" doesn't work, but not just because of the average player's behaviour. Developer's actually can make players gravitate towards the more difficult option even when extrinsic motivators are at play, but only through incentivising that option with its own extrinsic motivators. Even the basic 1911 in Cold War does enough damage with headshots to one-shot for a few rounds and remain viable with upgrades through to the end-game. All guns in Cold War are for the most part like this, which still removes the incentive to buy other weapons or use the mystery box, and if it didn't do that much damage there would be zero incentive to use it due to the new point system. In prior games players would intentionally stick with their starting pistol for initial rounds and then weigh up the benefits of buying a less powerful gun like the PM63 or Kuda over a more powerful weapon like a Steakout or KRM thanks to the old point system giving an incentive to wait longer before getting the most powerful weaponry, which both added more choices and player agency within gameplay to the mode alongside extra variety and a sense of progression to the gameplay loop throughout a match. The choice to have the most powerful guns only accessible through the box and limiting the purchase of ammo to the wall-buy weapons also added to both the variety between matches and player agency as you'd have to weigh up having a more powerful gun against having a constant ammo supply. Cold War's point system means the least effective guns now have zero purpose for the player within gameplay, which alongside the introduction of create-a-class means weapon balancing has to be approached in a way that makes every gun viable for getting kills at high-rounds, and no matter how hard you try there will always be one weapon that's just better than the rest. That lack of an incentive to avoid the best weapon combined with the ability to chose your starting weapon from the menu also removes all the tension from decisions that would have been made in-game and robs gameplay of that variety it had when it was more necessary to switch guns throughout a match. Even if you started with a less effective gun, it can be swapped out for a wall-buy that is amongst the most effective weapons almost immediately since there's no reason for designers to restrict powerful weapons to the box, as players can just spawn with those strong weapons anyway and don't have to consider the availability of ammo now that there's no restrictions on what weapons you can buy ammo for. Even if if the rumoured classic Zombies game mode for BO6 is real, these design choices are so inherently baked into the game that actually making the game play like classic Zombies on anything more than the most basic surface level would require development tasks, like rebalancing every gun or reverting the points system, that a single optional mode of play is simply not worth. The problem is that Zombies as a mode is designed around the idea of getting to a higher round, and thus optimising your playstyle for success, but the current focus on both integrating Zombies more cohesively with the game's multiplayer/live-service elements and remaining friendly to new players requires the removal or deemphasis of important motivators within the game loop that ensured players had a reason to experience the full variety of gameplay the mode has to offer.
The HUD boils down to consistency and accessibility in the UI/UX, this is why a lot of HUDs/UI blends together nowadays. The key goal of UI/UX is to communicate information, and the more complicated you make that, the less audience you have. Diehard fans hate this, but the casual player doesn't give a shit.
WWII was the first zombies game that had a loadout system. You can choose between almost every pistol, a double barrel shotgun, and a sniper IIRC. However upon completion of the super Easter egg you had the option to spawn in with a choice between a much better shotgun, SMG’s, and I think better snipers. If B06 REALLY wants to keep the loadout system, then maybe they can do something like this where the only choice you have between weapon spawns would get you past the first few rounds, then after completing the maps Easter egg, then you can use pretty much whatever.
BO3 hit a home run with the zombie chronicles collection, I still don’t understand why they don’t do more of that, 30 bucks for 8 old school really good maps was a good deal, and now it’s like 15 bucks
Milo, you're doing old zombies, players proud. You've pointed out almost all the problems with modern zombies. The biggest problem is difficulty 14 hit down and no starting pistol. Please hammer down on those two points cheers.
I seriously dont get why y’all are so pissy about this, i started playing in the old games, personally i think the newer ones are just as good if not more fun, honestly i probably play cold war more than any other zombies game, i see that vanguard and ww3 sucked, but bo6 is looking like its actually gonna be good but y’all just cant help but look for every tiny flaw and focus more on that then anything else. I can tell that even milo is just sucking up to y’all cause he was saying how good the game was looking till his chat started talking shit
@@supaproximalsix2155 yeah, cause while the originals may be more ambient, they are less fun overall, challenge isn’t everything when it comes to gaming, some people actually wanna have fun
the armor situation is probably that they saw this issue, tried it in vanguard, and because we all shit on vanguard, they decided not to reimplement it thinking it was something we disliked. Maybe we should ask for Vanguard armor mechanics back
10:54 That is wrong. The first one iteration of the loadout system is WW2 Zombies. You can select some "weak" weapons to bring you in the match alongside with specialist/field upgrade with some perks/personal buffs and you can select the type of lethal equiment. I now that everyone hate CW but really the new features are the rarity weapons and make the shield into armor to make much simpler the access to take mlre hits before going down... oh and the scorestreks but we "alredy" have that in BO3 if anyone forgot we have the "morter strike" just redesign in the dragon strike or the civil protector/keeper are just bots.
Okay but no one can sit here and tell me scorestreaks are the same as the dragon strike or that bots are the same as the civil/keeper protector, because those are completely redesigned, map-specific features that require in-game quests (or parts/building) to acquire, which is inherently different and much more interesting/fun than simply copy/pasting literal MP SCORESTREAKS into zombies, making NONE of them map-specific, and just shoving them into a menu anyone can buy them from at any time without anything special to unlock them. I love Cold War but let’s be real, map-specific and unique stuff (even if it’s a re-skin) is what makes zombies feel like zombies! Also, Klaus was a great feature in Cold War and you can say him and the civil protector are a “reskin” of bots all you want, but he ends up actually being more interesting than the civil protector because of the quest to get him in the first place, and the storyline surrounding him, so there, unlike scorestreaks, is a GOOD example of Treyarch reusing stuff from other modes, THAT is what we need more of in Zombies and while I personally don’t feel one way or the other about scorestreaks, I will always be a strong advocate for zombies modes to actually put in just that extra little effort of at least a reskin, and hopefully a quest, to make their reused features FEEL like Zombies.
I seen the trailer to bo6 zombies yesterday and i absolutely hated it. I dont understand why they don't just stick to what worked in bo3 and just make new maps
I know im just jumping on the hate train here but MAN I liked Call of Duty way more before Warzone was introduced. I dont think Cod needed a battle royale mode at all tbh. But hey thats just my take

I haven't played any of the cod zombies past bo3. But at 6:00 seeing a menu open up in zombies was crazy to me. I'd have never expect that to he added, everything's always been hold X/square
They told us that they “were changing the mode so other players from other modes could come and play zombies” and we let it slide. I started off with BOCW zombies. I probably have like around 7500 rounds. I loved it but heard how good these old zombies games are (and I had BO3 with chronicles for a while but only played MP), then when I went to the old zombies I was so confused. I knew it was harder and everything, but it just felt so hard? Like why in origins is there a hour long setup? Why are training spots so much smaller? Why do I do sooo much quicker? I went from easy round 50 in BOCW, to struggling to get to round 20 in BO3. I have fun in BO3, and I have been getting better recently, but BOCW really made it so hard to play the old games as a noob. I’ve bought BO2 season pass and get clapped even harder cuz of 2 hit down 😂. And honestly, this could actually be a part of their plan? Like if they make the new games easy fun, and if they play the old ones for the first time and get destroyed then they won’t have fun and stick with the new ones. But that’s just a theory, a game theory.
You should of played WaW 10 times harder than bo2 bo1, especially when you accidentally shoot yourself with the wunderwaffe and have jugg, WaW felt like a challenge especially high rounds on der riese or nacht
@@windowsvista5034 I kinda wanna go through the maps on WAW-BO3, trying to get like 25 or 30 on each map as a way to get better and more used to it. But I’d have to pay 25 bucks for WAW DLC and 60 for bo1(probably would just do zombies chronicles for bo1)
I was crying when bo3 came out because of how easy zombie had become. (Especially because of bubblegums) God if only I knew back then what was about to come after ahah. I would say bo1, bo2 and bo3 are the best. Waw is fun but has major flaws/bug. The key is mastering training in small area for those games and you can easily reach 100+ rounds.

One thing no one ever talks about with armour vs shields is the fact ALL hits taken is wearing away at armour at all times. But for shields, ONLY hits from behind and when you actively use the shield is it breaking
Hits from the front and side are not chipping away damage to it permanently so shields just naturally last FAR longer than armour and work much better as a piece of equipment that you can use in a pinch
Plus shield being on the back is more useful. Not being able to get hit from the back has helped me get out of situations that armor wouldn’t have helped. You’re right now one talks about the armor vs shields which actually surprises

Cold war didn't have manual replating either, in cold war you'd also run over the plates to replate. MW3 was technically the first introduction to the manual plating
I was gonna say.
Ong thought I was tweaking

Spawning with a pistol in Cold War just doesn’t do anything to help the issue, you could still get to round 10 with a loadout pistol in Cold War alone
I hate this stupid argument people blindly throw around as if we can play the old way at any time and are choosing not to, that is NOT the case.

EDIT:
Why are points skewed so high?

"just spawn with a pistol" is not even a valid arguement because they changed the point system. Spawning in with a pistol helped with getting points but now you only get points based off of kills so you're just being punished for choosing a pistol over a shotgun

Having a guided version of the Easter eggs doesn’t make them Easter eggs, it makes them missions.

Dudeeeee, you're right when they don't even care about points what are we doing?
i dont disagree i just think its overblown. these are such small things. the points being too small on the screen is HEARTBREAKING? lol its going to be okay. they lost the plot with zombie modes that werent round based. as long as the game is about more and more zombies chasing you, round after round, looking for better weapons, paping those weapons and chugging perks, trying to survive as long as you can, it will be zombies and probably be a good time. i think cold war is awesome. i like the shields and i like the weapon rarities. its just another level to what we already had. we use to have different weapons we could pap. now we have different weapons and rarities, giving you more options. the choice to use a weapon you perhaps would not have simply because its a higher rarity.

Black ops 3 using wallrunning and double jump and swimming in its maps with little complaints just goes to show how well it used mp features without just adding them everywhere
Wall running wasn’t used all that often cause zombies back then knew it couldn’t borrow too much from mp and used it as sparingly as humanly possible
The funny thing about ammo crates is that they can simply introduce the cut Amm-O-Matic machine to make it feel like zombies lol. It’s so simple bro.
I'd like to point out
They didnt replicate the advanced movement on every character like exo-zombies
They just trickled it in when it was needed or when it could be used like DE, SoE and rev but besides the 3 or 4 maps you see it in its not across every map or character which would've broken bo3 zombies completely as warzone is doing now

Even spawning in with the M1911 in cold war was OP. The starting rarity pistols can still kill zombies and carry you to round 10
I honestly don't understand how ppl pay 80+ € for this trash...
You couldn't be more right. Zombies has needed a strong identity to go into the next generation instead of chasing the ghosts of Primis's past

Someone make this into a milo gif 10:18 😂😂😂
You know what, fuck a zombies mode, gimme a full zombies game. Just give me every map ever pls
BO3 hit a home run with the zombie chronicles collection, I still don’t understand why they don’t do more of that, 30 bucks for 8 old school really good maps was a good deal, and now it’s like 15 bucks
I was so hoping that Blundell leaving treyarch would lead to this. 😩
Dying Light, but its open world and that word alone probably scares the crap out of prehistoric og zombies fans.
We need Rodolfo to weigh in on this.
Treyarch has lost it.
@@kittyboy7738you liked Cold War zombies more than the originals, of course you’ll think bo6 is amazing
@@kittyboy7738 delusional
@@supaproximalsix2155 yeah, cause while the originals may be more ambient, they are less fun overall, challenge isn’t everything when it comes to gaming, some people actually wanna have fun
@@nManix if you don’t have anything to say other than a blind insult then just don’t comment
the armor situation is probably that they saw this issue, tried it in vanguard, and because we all shit on vanguard, they decided not to reimplement it thinking it was something we disliked. Maybe we should ask for Vanguard armor mechanics back
Any bo3 multiplayer map looks more zombie than bo6 zombies lol
You did not have to manually replate in CW. You could simply walk over the plates
A big overall issue is that zombies has started to feel less like its own game mode and more like a special event or mod in warzone
Does Milo think cold war had manual plating lol? In cold war you just ran over plates and they auto applied too lol
After you killed rodolfo it was unredeemable for zombies
You need to go back in time and fix your mistake but you'll need help from 3 others
But hey thats just my take
The didn't need one, never did and still doesnt even after we go it
Leave that to fortnite and apex who do it better than cod ever could
They simply saw the success of those 2 and wanted to cash in but have ruined their games because of it
Cold War was bland
Modern warfare 3 felt hopelessly rushed
And black ops 6 just feels soulless and reuses assets from the first 2 that no one liked
And that's not just for zombies cuase even playing the multiplayer feels like buying the same game 3 times with just a few different guns
Rodolfo could fix it
I haven't played any of the cod zombies past bo3. But at 6:00 seeing a menu open up in zombies was crazy to me. I'd have never expect that to he added, everything's always been hold X/square
13:09 I couldn't be the only one who caught that lol
I’m glad i was just about to comment that😂😂😂” will you be my kyshakunin”😢😢
I GOT IT TOO that’s why I’m in the comments rn hoping someone else caught it
I was about to comment, glad you beat me to it 😁
They told us that they “were changing the mode so other players from other modes could come and play zombies” and we let it slide. Now we got:
Buy Stations
Armor
Meh Easter Egg hunts
Meh Storyline
Meh Difficulty
Loadouts
Killstreaks
Nerfed PAP
No Crew
No Character Quotes
No WW upgrade quest
No Shield
No Map Theme/PAP Camo
Modern Warfare Engine
Operators
Tac Sprint
Useless Wallbuys
Weapon Rarities
Self-revives🤦🏾♂️
And Salvage……
I think it might be time to say no
I absolutely hate warzone & agree ever so much. That liberty falls map looks crap
But I’d have to pay 25 bucks for WAW DLC and 60 for bo1(probably would just do zombies chronicles for bo1)
bo3 is really easy if you have good gobblegums or get double pap maybe its just me being a veteran though idk
@@burlyzulu I’ve got WaW to bo3 and i still end up on WaW for some reason
I was crying when bo3 came out because of how easy zombie had become. (Especially because of bubblegums) God if only I knew back then what was about to come after ahah. I would say bo1, bo2 and bo3 are the best. Waw is fun but has major flaws/bug. The key is mastering training in small area for those games and you can easily reach 100+ rounds.
Bro just let it rest. This game is dead in all corners.
