Repost from Reddit Folks, I've come up with an idea that I think should be rewarded. I was watching Dalek's new video about the classic mode in BO6 zombie mode and realized that this is a very difficult mechanic to implement in terms of balance and it seems in will never appear in a game(on release for sure). And then it hit me 💡. What prevents us, as a community, to make our own "classic mode"? It could be as simple as * Don't use armor plates (yeah, it'll be hard, but that's what classic mode is for, right?). * Don't use resources and everything that can be bought with them: score-streaks, weapon rarity improvement, etc. * Turn off the interface to the max. Leave only as it was in bo3. No radars, no experience numbers on half the screen, no compasses, etc. * Don't use the loadout system. Just create a loadout with 1911 or other starting pistol. Field upgrades can be used, they are cool. Note: If score-streaks appear in mystery box, you can just not pick them up. Imagine like if teddy bear appeared in a box. Exception: the injector that turns you into a mangler, I think you can still use it if it drops. Sounds so bad ass to me.
And the most similar example is the spirit ashes in Eden Ring. Most of the hardcore players don't use this mechanic, despite it being deeply implanted in the game and its overall flow. Some of the npcs that are encountered in the game serve exclusively to pump these spirits, many items enhance these spirits, and even the rewards for passing some dungeons are these spirits again! Let's try to improve our experience, since the developers do not understand what the community needs. Let it be a kind of protest against all the warzone like mechanics that endlessly annoy us.

I feel like people forgot that the nacht der untoten radio did stuff too. It was just random songs but it was the first interactable that didn't say "hold x to use". That kicked off my hunts for Easter eggs. Also Verrukt is the best map, hands down. Atmosphere is spot on, it was hard, music ee was phenomenal, and it introduced what we all really wanted... Oh how I wish we continued with a true horror atmosphere
As someone whose been playing since WaW and who knew most of these, I think its a good way to teach the newer fans about the modes past. Should do a vid like this every couple months or one for every zombies game etc.

People already do this, this isn't some crazy revelation. It just doesn't fix much. Starting with a pistol doesn't matter because pistols in cold war zombies and likely bo6 are way better than they used to be. You also have to deal with the new point system, so using pistols is already much less rewarding. Turning off all the ui is just annoying, and you can't even do that i don't think, at least in the beta. Bo3 had a stylized ui with all the info you need, with your character there and a satisfying point pop up system. You can apply this to the rest of them but at the end of the day its still a worse cold war.
Tbh I really didn’t think about it, but thats actually a good idea and it could really work, maybe then Activision will see we want our classic mode back

Milo, I've followed since 2014. Im really happy for you hitting 2mil, congratulations! I wish we could bring the whole community back into bo3 and just use the mod tool to create our canon. Think the community could probably do a better job, especially if someone like you wrote the lore. Well that's dreaming, but still a nice dream.
The mystery surrounding world at war still fascinates me to this day. The very small subtle Easter Eggs dropped into the maps created such community driven intrigue into the potential story that the zombies mode may be hiding.
I knew the Super sprinter question because I remember playing Verruckt for the first time and being absolutely terrified that there was a zombie that was chasing me that fast
They really should've brought back super sprinters from Verrückt. The way they moved was so much creepier than the goofy-ass sprinting waving zombie we had map in map out for so long imo! Also contributes to why Verrückt is one of my favourite maps of all time. I did think everyone knew that's when super sprinters were introduced though :p
Wow, so the character dialogue was what made treyarch unique breaking that tradition. While recent cod: "ye were gonna ignore that, because... We're new devs and we never bothered to check and have no meaning of what builds atmosphere..."

the zombies community is falling apart at the seams but roflwaffles gives us new reasons to smile :) you’re so appreciated milo!
6:15 For those extra nerds who want to know, the name for the PAP’d Ray Gun comes from H. Porter, a group 935 scientist responsible for creating the Ray Gun in game. H. Porter was indeed named after the creator/dev of the Ray Gun, Max Porter (who was the one who almost went to the chopping block for sneaking it into the WaW campaign). God I miss Zombies having depth…
Thats simply not true lol

This is so nostalgic, so many memories of easter eggs, community speculation. I remember being so hyped for verruckt and the story of the marines in the trailer.
Dude last stand is a classic
I did not know the death sound was a hint towards the next song ee. Very interesting
Shopping mall sized maps with rounds, where round 1-80 are filler, are SO MUCH FUN!!!!
This is an old school style video, love it Milo.

Folks, I've come up with an idea that I think should be rewarded.
It could be as simple as
* Don't use armor plates (yeah, it'll be hard, but that's what classic mode is for, right?).
Upvote if agree or at leats find it interesting, also feel free to discuss together ways to play our favourite mode

Sounds boring as fuck omg what a snoozefest

And as a result: we get a classic mode, hardcore, without unnecessary mechanics. The only thing that remains in this style of play is annoying falling resources from zombies, as well as a system of rare weapons (well. there is nothing to do...).

Good idea, bro, let’s revive our great game
@@artyomburtsev5226nah
Been saying this since cold war
Finally someone agrees with me on that
Them adding options for people isn’t a bad thing, it’s like challenge runs in a game, you could do a game full hardcore no hud and all, it’s options for everyone
Just wanted to let you know the community things you do like the Rodolfo posts make me engage with your videos. I don't even care about CoD anymore, haven't for years. But you as an entertainer have me coming back every time. Cheers!
9:58 going from waw zombies to cold war outbreak out of no where is almost repulsing, i even enjoyed cold war, but to see this dark and scary mode turn into that out of nowhere is just crazy
It’s not really out of nowhere, took 16 years. Most game modes would of been turned to shit in 2-3 after the greed
@@Troyyy94 i know it wasnt really out of nowhere but i was saying seeing the video from waw to cold war was jarring
Wow what a throwback! It’s crazy to think that I’ve been through it all and knew most of these except some minor details in just before it was published
Bro take me back to middle school days playing WAW on Xbox Live, and then listening to Avenged Sevenfold playing Call of the Dead
I played the last stand so much on my first smartphone like 13 years ago knowing it had an influence on cod zombies really warms my heart

Tbh I really didn’t think about it, but thats actually a good idea and it could really work, maybe then Activision will see we want our classic mode back
@@maquainferno i least if will somehow shoe acti that those mechanics sucks. Imagine day 1 EE hunt all big zombie youtubers just deny this features
headless zombies attacking you originally being a bug makes so much sense when you realize that headshots were intended to kill faster, but the head exploding happens after (x) damage to the head, and when the zombies health goes over a headshot kill it doesnt instakill, insted keeps going
“We lied about bo6 run while you still can” - the devs
Terminus looks great idk why the liberty falls gameplay shifted ur ppls perspectives sm
@@murdoxvsp6023 no the beta as a whole as shifted our perspective my guy they used default text that’s not even centred on the “find a match” button I definitely don’t trust them with zombies

I’ll never forget the first time I finished World at War. I always let the credits run, devs used to give us trophies for that back then lol; I remember perking up at the shot of the airfield, being like “wtf is that” and then getting absolutely terrified at the zombie sprinting towards the screen. Fantastic stuff.
Last stand was SUCH a fun flash game. The second one too, had a storyline and the looting aspect was exciting to see if you could salvage a decent weapon
HOLY SHIT I REMEMBER LAST STAND IN THE COMPUTER LAB YOOOO. Hidden memory unlocked thanks Milo
Man it made me so happy to see you're still doing UA-cam, congrats on 2m subs dude - keep smashing it!
OMG "The Last Stand" was legit my main go-to when i was in middle school. I've played that game probably everyday on my lunch break in the library. Good old days of 2008
Milo, I've followed since 2014. Im really happy for you hitting 2mil, congratulations! I wish we could bring the whole community back into bo3 and just use the mod tool to create our canon. Think the community could probably do a better job, especially if someone like you wrote the lore. Well that's dreaming, but still a nice dream.
12:56 some next level nostalgia god that music is amazing
So glad to see Milo’s channel doing so well recently, been killing it 🔥
Man I'm soo grateful to have loved through this era of zombies
The mystery surrounding world at war still fascinates me to this day.
The very small subtle Easter Eggs dropped into the maps created such community driven intrigue into the potential story that the zombies mode may be hiding.
I knew the Super sprinter question because I remember playing Verruckt for the first time and being absolutely terrified that there was a zombie that was chasing me that fast
This is my favorite video I’ve seen uploaded in a good while 😁 more of this please!
Miss these type of videos from the community.
The content recently really is bringing back the good old days
Wow, so the character dialogue was what made treyarch unique breaking that tradition. While recent cod: "ye were gonna ignore that, because... We're new devs and we never bothered to check and have no meaning of what builds atmosphere..."
This was actually a really good video
we need more videos like this Milo, love them
Great video, Milo! I know you probably hear this a lot, but honestly, you're my favorite Zombies UA-camr by a mile. Keep up the awesome work-your recent videos have been fantastic!
Cod zombies being inspired by the last stand completely explains why I instantly fell in love with zombies, TLS was the best flash game of its time.
These are some really cool facts! No wonder the zombie animations are so good!! The actor was a pro zombie 🧟 Jimmy and the og zombie team did gods work 🫶
This was really well made! I'm a long time zombies fan and even learned some new things myself
I absolutely love the song Easter eggs, really put me in that mood. I started at w.a.w. and since then my zombies songs from the maps are 2hrs long lol
