- The Czinger 21C has reclaimed the Laguna Seca lap record in its home state of California. 🇺🇸
On Monday, August 26, the Czinger 21C, driven by Joel Miller, set a new production car lap record time of 1:24.75, marking the third major track record for Czinger brand this summer. The 21C set the first and fastest official production car lap record at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) on July 24, 2024, with a time of 2:10.7. A week earlier, the 21C shattered the Goodwood Hillclimb record at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, completing the run in 48.82 seconds. These back-to-back victories confirm Czinger's position as the leader in hypercar performance on the global stage.

@@EricHobbyShow Goodwood doesn’t mean much, any car can be quicker up there. It’s down to the driver more than the car.

@@sapo229 also they did say the driver only had 5 minutes of track diagram preview. The driver babied the jesko. So Cainger had to get a driver with over 900 hours of experince to even beat the jesko... Czinger trying to get clout over a babied jesko 😂

@@djroboscope Im pretty sure its not. Since its a single seater in the middle. Even the Mclearn speed tail couldn't get it due to the seat in the middle. The Mclearn F1 car got it years ago.. but things have changed since then.

I just happened to be on vacation in Monterey this week, and I’ve always wanted to see Laguna, so I went up there on Monday and saw this exact car on the exact date they beat the record! That’s so cool.

I love living here...the car scene is just part of it though. You should plan to come during car week, check out the "Exotics on Broadway" event that is on Saturday. It's free and it's hard to believe how much car eye candy there is. It really blew up this year, I couldn't believe how many people were there.

The pits were off limits though. I tried to walk in and they told me it wasn’t allowed that day. I can see why now.
@@davecech4741 I unfortunately missed car week by a few days. It was a family golfing trip, except I don’t golf, so I spent the whole time wandering around Monterey/Carmel. I knew I had to take an uber up to Laguna once I saw how close it was to Spanish Bay.

4. To test driver

And no, the Jesko is NOT a luxury hypercar. That goes to Pagani and Bugatti. No one would try to daily a Koenigsegg 7 days of the week, keep it real. Stiffer ride than the Utopia and Chiron, and you really think it's a luxury car 😂

But Koenigsegg jesko record is 1:24:86 in street mode and it dont got 3 electric motors and a v8 with 950 hp so Koenigsegg jesko is all v8 motor with 1600 hp so czinger just proved how impressive Koenigsegg's record is.
@@tomchristensen4829 electric motors are not going to be an easy advantage, especially for track times. they are a lot of weight. for example, the rimac nevera laps the nurburgring slower than a porsche gt2 rs, with a lot lot less power

It just feels like it is plastic quality. Since most of the cars built very differently, they feel like a hypercar McLaren from what I have seen.
Because their new and unknown to many. They are proving themselves to be good competition 😎👍

Would've expected much better lap time around 1:23. It looked like the car was struggling to rotate and understeering. The Vmins on each turn weren't even that high for a car that's supposed to have crazy aero and so light.
Props to the video editor. This is short, sweet, and professional. I am now a Czinger fan.
For the uninitiated, claiming it won only by tenths, less than a second. Leguna Seca is a lot shorter track compared to the Nurburgring Laptimes that we're used to seeing. Hence why we dont see the time difference in seconds.
Here even Tenths account for Years in car time. Excited to see them both push limits.
I LOVE the Czinger story. Father /son project…vision, execution. Made in America. I can not fathom making SUCH a complicated product like a road-legal car….made in America. A huge accomplishment. And damn that look beautiful in green. I’d love to shoot a video for you guys one day. Keep pushing.

@@Girlandsilly - two things: it is legal to have a single seater car in the United States. Second…the Czinger does have two seats. The passenger seat is directly behind the driver.

Bravo to Czinger and the Driver! But don’t expect it to last, Koenigsegg wasn’t trying their hardest at all. They will come back, and they will shatter these records to oblivion. Saying this respectfully, we witnessed their record lap in person. They have so much room to improve already with what they have and didn’t have to use their resources to the extreme. The driver was inexperienced on the track and so was the car, but this is the start to a great rivalry I believe. Keep pushing the limits! We love this as Motorsport enthusiasts

I've driven this track before. Those speeds are astonishing.
Amazing car, Jesko is amazing as well. I hate the idea of losing my passion of internal combustion engines though the McMurtry "accidental" flying lap 6 seconds faster than this record is crazy.

Honestly, I could see the top speed version of the Czinger being the world record in the near future. They should go for it! I cannot wait to see what comes from this brand next.

It’s insane to realize that these are the absolute fastest cars you can get on the road, but a GT3 Race car with a third the power beats both of these. I guess race cars really are another breed

I honestly thought Czinger can go at least 1 sec faster than Jesko Attack record since it's lighter and more track bias compared to a Jesko Attack.
If that's their best time, I reckon Koenigsegg can go back and put a pro driver, and easily get better lap time.

@@budokpantai Brother tenths matter alot in Laptimes, also the Czinger was working with alot less power (1200 v 1600)hp. Both cars are great.

Impressive time. The McMurtry was quicker (6s) but it's not a production car, and the Czinger isn't a fan car. For what this is it's really quite amazing.
The only time rpm dropped below 5K was entering the corkscrew, that's was sick!

I timed the McMurtry Spëirling while they were doing an exhibition lap during the Rolex reunion at 1:18 I guess it’s not really in production yet?
It's a track only vehicle and all the laps they show are from the track only vehicle. The Pure "production" version is not out yet .

That's still only making about 80% of max power and down force per max Chilton their main development driver whose from f1. 🤔

The first turn was epic 160mph slowed down like it was nothing. That new 3D technology is really effective i See never seen a car approach a turn that fast before

Gotta say that i reckon if they go back again with the Jesko and use a driver that has previous experience of the track other than on playstation plus a proper harness (they used a regular seatbelt) i think they could definatly move the goalpost again with a larger margin than -0.00.09 .

3 years later and we are still waiting for the laps at Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps or Nordschleife.
Love this car so well built what a rocket.. seems a little slower in the straights than the Jesko but the handling and braking is ungodly.
You can see how much better lines Joe Miller is doing with the Czinger 21C compared to the ones done by the Jesko driver. I believe a more seasoned driver with the Jesko would go sub 1:24 mark or at least nudging it.
despite this, there was still a lot of understeer through T4... both cars still have some lap time to pick up.
The Jesko didn't even run a setup for the track and he used regular seatbelts.
