Two insane cars, but this is actually a great ad for Porsche. The Jesko has more than 3x the power, costs 8x more and has much more downforce!!! A 525 HP car doing so insanely well in comparison with a 1600 HP hypercar is actually nuts. Shows how insanely great Porsches engineers are in terms of racecar development (I mean all their broken records and won races in LeMans, on the Nordschleife etc. show that already, but we're talking street-legal here). Two insane cars, but very different. I hope people won't start to compare supercars with hypercars now. I also wonder how the Aston Martin Valkyrie will do in comparison with the Jesko Attack, I think the Valkyrie will be even faster. And let's also wait for the new ZR1 times and the upcoming 992 GT2 RS. Befor everything turns electric, I need more stuff like this. :)
i totally agree with you we shouldn't be comparing Hypercars with supercars i made this comparison to show people a difference between Op and Extreme and I was Frustrated by the comments where people were saying Koenigsegg was winning just because of power and 4 sec in nothing c'mon its a minute and half lap❤️

The 911 GT3 RS only generates 860kg of downforce @177mph vs. the Jesko's 1000kg @171mph but thats solely due to the RS having an auto DRS system which bleeds air above 100km/h. The Jesko's has a static (but adjustable) wing which backs off downforce at *way* higher speeds than what it can run on this track.

That's SPM's 992 3RS and it's not a stock one technically. Also you can't really compare a lap record attempt from a manufacture that had the track all to themselves vs. what Jaden did on a track day. Nonetheless I'm way more impressed by the 992.

The GT3RS actually flourishes on circuits with more bends. Although Christiaan is on a stratospheric level, the RS is likely the best bargain buy for money from a drivers car-point-of-view,, investment point of view may be a different matter. (I experienced an unofficial lap record with Brian Viljoen in a 2019 GT3RS on Zwartkops race track in SA.).. .
The Jesko is itself an investment. They are super rare and limited production so when or if you want to resell them you can easily sell for double the original cost.

I was actually there at this event. to note - I don't know if they were on Race gas or e85 [someone correct me if i'm wrong but there's no e85 in monterey? ] . so that is limited to 1200 pump gas. e85 is the full 1600... also curious... if the driver had more seat time at the track prior... i wonder how much faster could he be(?) we'll just have to wait and see! super exciting stuff!

@@K-SHABAB Hmmmm I mean it looks pretty smooth compared to the most recent iteration of the GT3 RS, and the previous Nordschleife GT3 RS that’s not the MR variant has quite a lot of aero stuff going on as well. Maybe there’s some hidden flaps and stuff under the Jesko Attack like there is on the GT3 RS that I’m not seeing. Basically it appears the aerodynamics on the Jesko Attack could be cranked even further.

They were there to race the clock, I doubt they were even aware of any other cars that happened to be there. Also 4 seconds is an eternity on a racetrack. F1 cars spend millions to pickup 0.3 seconds.

@@K-SHABAB Hmmmm I mean it looks pretty smooth compared to the most recent iteration of the GT3 RS, and the previous Nordschleife GT3 RS that’s not the MR variant has quite a lot of aero stuff going on as well. Maybe there’s some hidden flaps and stuff under the Jesko Attack like there is on the GT3 RS that I’m not seeing. Basically it appears the aerodynamics on the Jesko Attack could be cranked even further.
