@@aminabdullah350 It's a Taylor- I'm going to guess a 814ce.
I take that back- more likely a 314ce because of the rosette.
Can you do a tutorial for "so sad ( to watch good love go bad) " by the everly brothers 1961
Man we were so lucky to have such great artists and we are incredibly fortunate that you do such respectful and admirable justice to their art and then share that with us. Hope you are very well.
The fact that Croce could play this song so well AND sing in time / on key shows that he was way more than just a “singer songwriter” ( the marketing genre he was lumped into).
Great lesson!
Hope life is good with you
Insane talent.
Doing this is like walking a tight rope backwards and blind in a wind storm.
Maury and Jim’s finest work, wow what an amazing arrangement. God I wish we had a replacement for these two men who are musical icons but never knew how wonderful they were and how amazing the songs they created together are better today than yesterday.
One of the saddest days of my life was when I heard that Jim and Maury had died in a plane crash. What might have been.
Your demo is fantastic as usual. Keep the memories alive.
I'm convinced there is nothing Andy cant play...and moreover with incredible precision, feel. Andy is a big reason I picked up my guitars after years of not playing.
He’s a treasure for sure. Learned some great songs from him.
Goals... listening to Jim Croce with my dad as a kid is why I wanted to learn how to play guitar and finally just started at 38 and fml. I was hoping to be able to play this respectably well before old age and senility hit my dad, but watching this I'll be lucky to be able to do it before arthritis hits me.
This made me realize how good Jim's vocals really are. They add so much to an already gorgeous tune.
Exactly well said
That is just unbelievably good guitar playing! Watching you play this gives me a new appreciation for Jim’s abilities. I have learned so much from you. Thanks much for sharing with us.
You are the best teacher on UA-cam sir.
Once u know one Jim Croce song u know them all. Great playing and great sound. Thank you and great performance at the start.
This and Time in a Bottle is a real tribute to Jim and Maury. Thanks, always loved Maury's parts they added so much to each song.
Andy, -never fails to deliver. Jim Croce's music his song both. Just hauntingly spiritual. Thank you for being you Andy.
You really rolled up your sleeves on this one. This is incredibly good. Not to Denigrate Jim’s part, but I think the fills are what really makes this song. I have wanted to learn this since I was at Villanova! Thanks so much for doing this.
I feel a connection to Maury. I miss him and yet, never knew him. Cant quite explain it.
Maury was like Jim Croces personal George Harrison.
this is a joke I don't mean to call Maury an asset of Jim
I consider this the sophisticated shit. The way the guitars weave in and out of each other is fabulous.
I've seen about a hundred of your videos and they are all amazing. However, If this was the only one you ever made, you would still be a legendary You Tube creator. The detail you capture and your easy way of explaining everything makes you THE BEST of the You Tube teachers to learn songs.
Its 3.30am, I'm in a tent with no guitar near me (and no right to be playing one at this hour) but ive just watched this whole video nonetheless. I was excited to see a new video from you Andy, welcome back and thanks for all the great videos. I cant even measure how much you have shaped me as a guitar player over the years.
Jim Croce!!! Finally!!
Absolutely fabulous Andy! So glad you are back! Such a great job on both Jim & Maury’s parts! 👍
Nice job.......I have played guitar for 51 years. I always thought of Croce as a great singer, but now appreciate his playing and music writing skills even more. You nailed it.
Andy, When I was a young man I played rock & roll music with a flat pick. Then In my 40's or so I put my guitars up & sold some. Life got in the way or something. Now that I'm up in age. Decided to break a guitar out again. Even got a few new ones. Decided I want to get in to fingerpicking. Not great at it yet. But it's a sound I like & I work at it everyday. In about a year I think I'd be pretty good at it. I been working on this song a lot bc I like the late great Jim & Murry. I find Justin Johnson to be a great fingerpicker & I love blues music. JJ plays slide on a lot of his songs witch is fine. Makes me wonder though if he plays in a lot of open tunings. Love the sound of fingerpicking. Thank you so much. Donnie.
You are a wonderful person for making these, glad we got you back. We hope you are well, Andy, we wish you all the best! Thank you for your precious work!
The bassline in that song is just as busy and sweet
What a beautiful song and what a beautiful performance. It’s clear an incredible effort went into this. Thanks Andy!
It's like you have four hands and twenty fingers!!! I thought you were great before...now I know. Another wonderful class.
My introduction to fingerpicking was on stuff like this - My guitar teacher would play something and he'd ask "are you afraid of it?" - What inexperienced fingerpicker wouldn't say "yes"?. LOL
He'd say "Good" and tell me it was the perfect time to learn it. If I said something was above my paygrade he'd ask "why?". I never had a good answer - I just took it home and chewed on it like a dog with a bone. After 3 years or so, I'm still chewing on that stuff but, it sure does shed some light in terms of learning the fret board and economy of movement.
You're good teacher so, yeah man - attempt it - What's the worst that could happen? 🙃
What an amazing song. One of my all-time favorites.
A masterpiece, my fav Croce song. He and Maury were absolute genius on this. Such a devastating loss. Great job and thank you.
The best tutorials for guitar on yt. Period.
Dude, you are simply the best guitar teacher on UA-cam. I can't even play much anymore and I've already got a bunch of your tabs that I'll likely never get to, but I'm buying this one for sure.
Wishing you a happy and healthy '23. Cheers!
This song came on the radio when I was 13 in 1992 and I loved it. I found out what it was from my parents and immediately went to buy the CD. I got my hands on a guitar and thought I would be able to learn how to play it. It didn't take long to figure out it was way out of my league. I didn't even know it was two guitars. Long story short 31 years later and I still can't play either part.
With this video and a good month I think I can get Jim's part down to make it work by myself. Thank you.
why is this song such a masterpiece....
I just found out about this song for the first time and then this video was uploaded!
Such incredible playing, Andy! Stunning!!
I watched Jim and Maury do this one live on The Midnight Special (it’s on UA-cam) and man what a performance and what a treasure of a song. You really did this justice. Well done.
I get so excited when I see that you’ve uploaded a new lesson.. cheers Andy!
Not ashamed to say your cover made me cry. Takes me back to 1973 sitting in my barracks room listening to this album. Brilliant performance!
Your tutorials are awesome! Thanks man. You have made the internet a better place!
When G C and D simply aren't enough anymore. Amazing
It's really great to see you back old friend.
This is absolutely incredible. It’s the detail and precision that makes him a great instructor. No one has the accuracy. Glad you’re back healthy.
Thank u so much I was doing this song with my teacher the other day and came home and seen this great help thanks my man cheers from Ireland 🇮🇪 Brian
SWEET!!! I have been looking for this fill forever....Very nice
Nice to see you on your feet again. 👍
Your the man for such a great table and comprehensiveness so i can play this with my friend
Not a note out of place! This is truly incredible guitar work!
This song never fails to move me. So incredibly well written and superbly performed. You absolutely do it justice here. Excellent work.
My Favorite guitar presentation by an artist and you just made me realize why - Great job and thank you
This song is the reason I learned to play guitar.
Pleasantly surprised to this this post. Good to have to back Sir. And coming back with a home run of a tutorial. All the best.
Wow! You okay so beautifully! Most of Jim Croce's songs are pretty complicated, with classical licks. That is thanks to Maury, I have learned. Great job!! ❤❤❤
Andy, that was outstanding!!! Loved watching you play this. However I think that’s as far as I’ll take it. Ha! One of my favorite all time songs that I was hoping you would do one day and now that I’ve seen you do it I’ll just enjoy watching you play it. Thanks for sharing this with everyone.
Mesmerizing. The original and this performance / reverse engineering. Very much appreciated.
Welcome back, Andy. Excellent rendition and lesson... I can only wish.
Right ON! Been waiting on this! THANK YOU!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I've wanted to play Maury's part for so long and you have completely unlocked it for me.
I checked last week if you made a tutorial of this one on your channel. What a great timing!
Been thinking about adding this one to my 'to learn' list. You mind-reader you!
Nice! Happy to see a new video
“Time In a Bottle” please. When you have moment 😬
He's already done Time in a bottle. And it is as good as this one. Go to his website all his lessons are laid out well there.
He already has one on time in a bottle
Yeah, I already had watched the Time in a Bottle.....Musta been stoned when I watched it. 😵
Haha, as soon as I watched the Midnight Special performance of this, I just knew you'd have a video on it already.
I think Maury's playing is the most unique and inspirational lead acoustic accompaniment since Alun Davies with Cat Stevens, and even then it's almost a step up, and at just 23/24 years old, too.
Wow! Incredible Andy! Thank you for sharing this one. This will take some time for me but you've explained it well and easy enough for even me to understand. Your approach with all your lessons are spot on and I've improved tremendously watching your tutorials over the years. And Jim and Maury? Man, I remember watching them on TV as a kid as well as hearing them on the radio. Jim's writing was soooo good!! Thank you for this trip down memory lane!!
Been waiting for you to do this song for years. Great job as always
You do Taylor supreme justice my man. Your playing, teaching, production is simply the best on the planet Thankyou
The best instructive videos on line. And a great tune
Love it, Thx a million times. Working it now. A lot to work on for sure! That obviously took a lot of time to perfect, as it was perfect!
Una canción hermosa que ha conservado su frescura a pesar del tiempo. Gracias por compartirla, ahora a aprenderla como debe ser. Saludos desde México.
Stunning Andy!
Fantastic job! Thank you for sharing! Jim was one of the all time greatest singer, song writers. Such a fantastic story teller and sorely missed. Maury added so much to Jim's songs and was a fantastic lead guitarist and partner and made Jim's songs even better. Thanks again for this gem!
Fantastic so glad you are sharing & teaching all of us these fabulous songs!! You have extremely good taste in picking great tunes to teach my friend!! Keep up the great work I enjoy your channel very much & learn lots from you!!👍🎶🎸 DOM

Guitar sounds lovely.
Fantastic job breaking it down and replicating! You are gifted.
When noodling over the entire song is completely acceptable! Bravo.
I feel like crying to have this! I am gonna practice sooo much! Love love 💕
This has been like my holy grail of tutorials from this channel, I knew one day he'd cover it and it would be spot on, and it is
You nailed that friend, thanks for posting.
Andy, it's my birthday and the first thing I see on UA-cam this morning is this video - Way Cool - thanks so much!

All i wish is that these classics don’t get lost in time
I just wish future generations take care of these masterpieces.
A lot of respect for you to teach us all these songs all i can do is to play them and do my part in keeping these songs alive.
A lovey arrangement of a beautiful classic, right there !!
I always wondered what I was missing with Jim and Maury's parts. Now I know!
Wow, what a great tutorial! I can't wait to learn it. Thank you, Andy!
13:45 I cant sing....you sure can play and teach !!!! Thanks for you great tutorials.
Thank you, maestro. Well done and great song to learn. Subscribed.
very nice rendition and also the recording sound was just so clean and clear👏👍
Excellent. Been learning this one for a few weeks. And my go to lessons guy just posted! Thank you 🙏
Wow! What a great lesson Andy! You put in a lot of effort to get all the details, as you always do...thanks! Jim Croce and his partner on duets were so awesome. They inspired me to learn fingerpicking long long ago. And back then it wasn't easy to find tabs or even videos with the camera fixed on the guitar so you could learn. You had to use your ear along with many many playbacks of a song to get even close. Thanks again! I'm sending another modest donation... wish I could afford to send more often... thanks again! -Art-
Such a wonderful song, and your playing gives it so much life! Its so awesome just listening. Then, you teach us how to play it!! You are the finest guitar teacher I've found on UA-cam, and you make it fun! Thank you!!
Wow--you embody excellence in your work, Andy. Unbelievable and inspiring!
When I saw this on TV, this introduced me to Martin D-35s, and I had to one. Maury's playing convinced me that lead guitar could be not only acoustic, but GREAT lead guitar could be.
Thank you, Andy. Amazing work as always!
Sometimes I come to watch you’re videos even if I know the song. I always enjoy the calm way you explain things.
Thanks for watching my videos Mark. Cheers, Andy.
Great playing!
Man what a great ear you have to hear all this. I've been playing this for many years and you picked up so much Nuance that I've missed. Thanks again. Supported you when your donation page. I always learn something new
Thankyou ,its beautiful .
