We need a tier list for the incoming ranked sprint! I can farm ONE ship prolly to 8 and have gold for a single premium, can't decide, returned recently and feel like I'll regret the investment.
I remember being in a squad with a friend in WoT, we dealt 15k dmg(tier 8) 14 kills and still lost with the only surviving enemy being a SU152 at 270 health :D. From then on I have 0% trust in teammates.
CV outraged that he has to do any kind of maneuvering to avoid danger. What's the point of playing CV if you can't just free farm the enemy with zero regard for how they respond?
Lol though it's kind off understandable surprise attacks like that have happened to me before and it can be quite upsetting...... though saying u should be banned is a bit too far
As one who has actually sailed in the Royal Swedish navy and being a naval engineer is that in the real world, HMS Halland has actually managed to push it up to 45 knots, so it's a little strange to hear that it is called "not particularly fast". When Queen Elisabeth made her visit to Sweden in 1956 on the Royal yacht there was a mist so they HMS Halland that was supposed to meet the queen's yacht missed it, so in order to catch up the engineering could skip all limitations and open her fully up and then she managed to do 45 knots. Second of all she could in the real world create smoke too!
Up until around Tier V of Halland's ship line (in the game) they were so fast and maneuverable that I would enter into the middle of fights and dodge everything while attacking. The later ships are very slow and sluggish. Still fun to play, just much different than their earlier ships which is a shame. I had a lot of fun dodging bullet rain.
Its not that odd tho.... World Of Warship is extremely complex when it come to tactics, and knowlage.... you really need to know who you are fighting, and with the limited manouverability of ships, you need to plan your apporaches every time, in most games you can run in and take cover or flee if you mess up sometimes, here.. you DED! xD I think World OF Warships is really cool and interesting but as soon as I make a big misstake I just quit in shame... lol and I dont have the energy and patience to grind anymore... xD
honestly not that impressive to do huge damage when you don't help your team cap and win. notice how the winning teams destroyers were barely alive by the time this guy got to them , yet they capped and won the game. high damage games in dds are easy when you just flank and let your team lose most likely.
I mean this game need training scenarios. Like your team is ahead on points, you have the caps, now what should you do? Knowing when to go dark and just stay alive is not learned by 95% of the players.
A single player, no matter how powerful, cannot win a team game alone. The difficulty of WoWS, of course, is that communication is limited and most captains don't possess proper knowledge. It's like watching a hockey game where 3/5 of the players can't skate well.
if you weren't so obnoxiously ignorant, you would have realized he said "because we have me - a Halland" which is a very obvious, massive advantage, because the enemy didn't have any DDs and no CV left, so literally all they had to was stay alive and give him time to kill off every remaining enemy ship
I had a game in which I rushed up through the middle cap undetected and 1v2ed two enemy carriers. Halland is a great ship, but every time i see teammates in a halland they play like hot garbage. There is a mindset that players seem to think that you should be going out and contesting caps. I, however, ended that game with 20+ torpedo hits and seriously impacting the game, despite getting told that I would be reported by 2 of my teammates. The cvs on my team were utter Chads as they told those teammates that how good my play was, and it seems as if all of my BBs showed me love too. I was complimented 5 times
Excellent game play and again, great explanation of your intentions- which is immensely helpful to the WOWS community. Thanks again for your contribution Flamu!
I've been onboard THIS very boat IRL. The Halland class destroyer was a part of the Swedish Navy and consisted of 2 ships. HMS Halland and HSM Småland. It was removed from service in 1987 and can be seen in Gothenberg, Sweden.
Realize this is an old vid, but I have to say I think Flamu's "how to play and strategy explanation" vids are the best of all those posting vids. He give better explanation of what he's doing and what he's thinking than anyone else playing the game. 👍👍 It's a little inspiring to such a high level of devotion on a team, that one ship can get 8 kills and the team still is committed to losing no matter what it takes.🤡
In defense of the Izumo (sometimes as a community I feel we way too harshly judge other players who don't make every play like super unicum youtubers/twitch streamers), he managed to make the top 3 on your team and the game was probably lost anyway. Last ship on the other team was the Yamato that topped the scoreboard, was nose-in, probably had a heal up it's sleeve. It would have been a tough fight with only a couple of torpedo salvos in the time left. If he'd slowed down in the position you said he should have, he would have been cross-fired with his broadside open to the Yamato, while you needed to hit multiple ~9km long torpedo salvos against two of the fastest Battleships in the game and still have to kill the Yamato. Izumo also saved a huge amount of your health in that fight with the Smaland and maybe stopped you getting sunk, it took you down from 20k HP to 8k before it died, even though it only had 12k health to start with, and it took a 4k AP salvo from the Izumo (something you didn't seem to notice), without that, you were last standing with a dead engine & rudder & one of your turrets knocked out. That could have got really dicey with your DPM cut in half for 20 seconds, no heal ready with him having 5k health left vs your 8k. I could easily see you using the repair to keep the turret up, then getting set on fire which could have been enough to burn you to death. In his mind, I can imagine him thinking he survived almost the entire battle to support you when the rest of your team had thrown their ships away, secured his flank, hit the Iowa for enough damage that your torps deleted him instead of letting him repair & heal, saved you from getting sunk by the Smaland, stopped the Georgia's from speedboosting to A1 to win on points, did 25k damage to the first Georgia which let you secure a 7th kill, then watched you inexplicably fire only one set of torpedoes at point blank range even though you needed to kill the other Georgia immediately, and instead trading with it after firing a worse angled torp salvo than the first one, that secured the loss for your team.
When Flamu got destroyed by the USS Georgia... I immediately paused the video and **gasped**. I genuinely felt sad. The hardd carry and his teammates... I definitely think he could have cleaned up the IJN Yamato and secure the win. As you said, can’t win ‘em all... Nevertheless, amazing game and I just can’t get enough of how into detail you go into analyzing your replays. Truly helps the community a lot! Looking forward to more videos! >.
Like I said when the Halland was released, the torps may have low damage, but they are very consistent and reliable. And I was right. So many ppl said the torps are meh and some said they are kinda bad
Those people are completely noobs. I knew when these ships were in testing that they would be the best torp dd's in the game and that hasn't changed. People for whatever reason will say that low damage torps suck and not take into account the other factors(torp speed, concealment and reload) that make these torps simply the top of the food chain.
I really love how consistent the torpedoes are and how you can greatly punish ships sailing in a straight line, Öland and Östergötland have been some of the most enjoyable DD I have played in a long time, even when I was planning on selling both of them to get the extra credits I decided to keep both of them, they are just that fun and good in my opinion. You have to learn how to properly position yourself though, otherwise you'll get severly punished because you don't have smoke or great speed. Can't wait to get the Halland and shred CV planes like no tomorrow.
Fun to se the old Swedish destroyer Halland in action. IRL its moored permanently as a museum ship in my old hometown of Gothenburg. It might only have two main gun turrets, but they hold twin automatic 120 mm cannons. The secondary turrets hold twin 57 mm bofors AA cannons. There is supposed to be an old antiship missile ramp midship.
I dont play World of warship so I reamly dont understand how this kind of thing can happen? Since obvioudly I only watch good players. I mean in a FPS sire you can die without doing anything but how is it possible in world of warship? You can at least fire back... How come his team did absolutely no damage to the enemy team? Its beyond me. Also, i've seen some Carrier play and how can you struggle to kill a 2k cruiser for 10mn when you have bombers?
I'm seeing an increasing number of insane record breaking matches that still result in losses. It's apparent that the skill gap between the vets and the new players worsens everyday. This is also made obvious through the increase in landside losses/wins in recent months which has made the game difficult for me to enjoy recently. I hate playing knowing no matter how brilliant my play is, I'll still lose because my team mates have a 43% avg WR and 700 total battles played.
Well of course. Veterans at this game have insurmountable experience over the new players. That gap will never change for the better. The best advice for new players is to watch veterans like Flamu and Flambass and learn from what they do and say. Then go and play the game lots and lots. Win or lose, it does not matter, just play the game and try to learn something every time. Then just have fun. We can't all be unicums.
@@lunsmann true, but a dynamic you're missing here, and there's nothing necessarily wrong with this dynamic, is the proliferation of special captains and powerful premiums/tech-tree ships that synergize to the point where you're seeing these massive blowout numbers like this in the hands of vets in recent months. Again, I'm not saying there's anything extremely wrong with this, but it is alarming to consider for the health and longevity of this game (it relies on new players getting addicted and spending money) that brand new players running into unicums who're unstoppable could be detrimental for them sticking around. WG is offering ever more powerful ships that're ever more difficult to acquire allowing long standing players to absolutely devastate the average weekend noob. It's not potentially game breaking dynamic, but one should of weary of a divide that becomes too vast, as we'll see more blowout matches and landside games as we've seen recently. But I still see your point and I agree with you. My OP is just pointing out that I've seen a larger number of extreme carries and record shattering for the before mentioned reasons in recent months.
many random games feel more like actually 3 vs 3 and the rest of the team is fodder, haha. Whichever team has more top performing players wins, you might see lopsided games that feel like 2 vs 4.
Great game my potato! And kinda hilarious in some way xD I mean, imagine the CV using his Keyboard for moving around instead of typing "Reee ban Flolo Reee" 😂
Actually, I think it is a lot worse if I fail and team loses closely. Why should that game leave a bad feeling for flamu? He did exceptionally well and it is so obvious that every other player in the match played bad. The other team was horrible as well, otherwise it wouldn't have been possible to set a world record.
That ship is amazing I mostly see nothing but highlights from the Holland. Gives you a wide rang of advantages again almost any tier x DD. quick firing guns the dpm is great also the amazing the torpedo reload and the amount it Carrie's. A heal . The stealth is good too even considering that fact that it sit at 6.0 not great but not bad. It didnt have hydro but everything else compensates for not having it . Amazing game . Keep up with the videos flamu.
Asashio said "F****t ban", Lexington sasa853 said "f**k hide like a mouse", next his phrase was like damn or f**k, then he called you f****t and again ban you, then he again want to ban you, ban again, then "Goldfinch killed" (kinda name of the bird originally but its prison slang meaning young or new guy)
Incredibel match. Do you have a vid for skill recommendations for the halland? Oh, and is there any way to get that captain now? I seem to recall him being a campaign reward but I stepped away from the game before I finished the his campaign (from rusty memory).
It's not a world record. On EU the record damage for Halland is 362 166. Haven't checked the other servers yet, but clearly when there's one higher your achievement (however impressive) is not the world record.
Awesome video and gameplay, Flamu! Can I run some battles with you? Would love to get some training in with the master himself. Really enjoy your videos and the channel. Cheers
Players like that Izumo are the reason why I can't play this game as much. Useless the whole game, has more health than anybody and still ends up being useless in the end.

The "best" play games are always when both teams are retarded except for 1 or 2 players.
many random games feel more like actually 3 vs 3 and the rest of the team is fodder, haha. Whichever team has more top performing players wins, you might see lopsided games that feel like 2 vs 4.
Great game my potato!
And kinda hilarious in some way xD
I mean, imagine the CV using his Keyboard for moving around instead of typing "Reee ban Flolo Reee" 😂
Damage record on Halland is 362.166, set by Robustius (EU server).
Bro those torpedos on the montana were super clean.
Glorious battle ♨️🚢.
So expert on the halland, you are.
Nice score too.
Good luck ™️👀
That’s the worst feeling when you do so well but your team throws all ability to generate electricity in their brain out the window
Actually, I think it is a lot worse if I fail and team loses closely. Why should that game leave a bad feeling for flamu? He did exceptionally well and it is so obvious that every other player in the match played bad. The other team was horrible as well, otherwise it wouldn't have been possible to set a world record.
Very nice game! I can't wait for my Halland (currently on Ostergotland). Keep the vids coming!
I love Halland. Her guns are nice to but I swear i end up getting some pretty hilarious dispersion patterns from them. At any rate she's a fun ship.
Your back must hurt from carrying your entire team.
someone should make a hello hello everyone compilation
I thought about doing this. Imagine an hour of "hello hello everyone".
Omg...
Songified!
This was fantastic to watch
never played this myself but damn i enjoyed watching this :) nice video!
Izumo was the final potato that sank the ship.
Mmmm... Salty Russians, my favorite kind!
your greatest enemy is your own team
SO MUCH FOR IJN BEING TORPEDO KINGS LONG LIVE THE NEW KINGS
Asashio said "F****t ban", Lexington sasa853 said "f**k hide like a mouse", next his phrase was like damn or f**k, then he called you f****t and again ban you, then he again want to ban you, ban again, then "Goldfinch killed" (kinda name of the bird originally but its prison slang meaning young or new guy)
Flamu "Talking casualy about getting a Word Record"
Me, having my best game ever end with 198k dmg *cries in casual player"
Wow ! that's some impressive game knowledge. You lost when you got 8 kills is amazing :D Well Played
It is what it is people. Potatoes decide the fate of a game. Not Godzilla.
Gg well played Sir, carry harder!😎🤪
*Best torpedo boat in the game
*Kitakami cries
Planes in a ship game... Next will be artillery pieces and T34 tanks on the islands shooting at ships.
Outstanding effort foiled by potatoes
My respects. What a game! Very nice!
Incredibel match. Do you have a vid for skill recommendations for the halland? Oh, and is there any way to get that captain now? I seem to recall him being a campaign reward but I stepped away from the game before I finished the his campaign (from rusty memory).
in class, making a drone in CAD and watching this... ebic
Few months ago, I had a 340.000 dmg game with my Shimakaze. We lost.
The last time I showed up this early, I got divorced.
What a heartbreaker, but congrats on your world record. o7
Such an excellent battle... Guess I'm not the only one getting those teams then....
I was watching the stream but missed this battle, I fell asleep because I was sick. Damn, what an impressive game, loss or not :o
It's not a world record. On EU the record damage for Halland is 362 166.
Haven't checked the other servers yet, but clearly when there's one higher your achievement (however impressive) is not the world record.
I watched it live man
keep the good content
Flamu my tip - Press X to unmark targets. Causing them to not notice target lock.
Also very impressive game
Awesome battle well done :D .
Awesome video and gameplay, Flamu! Can I run some battles with you? Would love to get some training in with the master himself.
Really enjoy your videos and the channel.
Cheers
I literally got sick from watching this. That was a monster game.
Hell, it seems so easy. Dude from enemy team had a strong butthurt))
Guy in chat is basically raging
Dont want to translate it, too mean
That was awesome display of super hero power's. I have an Oste definitely need to grind for Halland
"this is still winnable..because we have me".
wow...lol
Players like that Izumo are the reason why I can't play this game as much. Useless the whole game, has more health than anybody and still ends up being useless in the end.
Is this Russian server? This might explain why WG keeps giving fantasy ships to augment the Russian players. Which encourages more potato play.
This game somewhat proves me that i was not wrong when i completely stopped playing this game a month ago.
