3 months ako nag intermittent fasting 16:8. From 80 kilos down to 72 na ngayon. Hindi pa ako nag 100% keto pero sinimulan ko ng mag bawas ng rice tsaka grains. Tapos inom rin ng green tea❤ worth it yung sikap...yung mga pananakit ko sa likod...nawawala na. Wala akong iniinom na gamot. Lifestyle tsaka diet talaga.
Avoid na lang siguro ng processed foods, corn syrup sweetened foods like juice drinks, softdrinks, etc., beer, white sugars o kahit na brown sugar. Pwede naman magkape na walang asukal o coffee mate. Change white rice to upland red or black rice that are non-gmo and no factory chemical pesticide, but limit to 1 cup per meal, exercise at least 30 minutes a day, no skipping of meals but at least give 4 hours interval fasting in-between meals

I now have subclinical hypothyroidism from years of dieting (keto,hcg,South Beach,etc) and taking everything that has the word slimming slapped into it. My metabolism slowed down and now Im bringing my metabolism back up through eating mostly plant based nutrient dense food and 30min to 1hr home exercise. To cut the story short, my body weight and body fat percentage is steadily going down. Its in a slow pace, but I learned to be patient and started loving my body wherever I am in my journey. Im glad that I dont need to go on keto to be achieving my results.

my views on keto. Do keto diet if you have normal creatinine (blood chem), BUN if mataas don't instead of keto do low carb na lang around 90grams carbs minimum per day. Higher is better. Kung mataas na yung creatinine mo at nag keto ka meaning maximum of 40 grams of carbs, problema nun tataas lalo creatinine mo which will lead you to CKD. Mine tumaas after doing keto kaya hinay hinay lang ako dyan.

Inassociate lang naman ang term na diet sa weight loss nung nauso ang mga FAD DIETS. And yes, may mga studies naman talaga that ketogenic diet has good effects, especially for epileptics and in the short to medium term weight loss (and I would not discredit that- in fact there are doctors who recommend this dietary lifestyle), PERO hindi pa siya proven on the long term run, if it's safe on diabetics and what not. So what is recommended is still having balanced diet. ;)

@@abubakarbagumbayan5423 hi po, normal filipino foods lng po. So everyday kumakain ako ng first meal ko around 1pm (meat then vegetables) then last meal around 9pm (more meat). between meals nag cocoffee ako or tea.
Fave meal ko, adobo, chopsuey, pakbet, tuna, eggs. Etc.. madami kang ma kakain na filipino food pag nag keketo bsta avoid lng ng harina, sugar and RICE.
Calories in calories out parin. Kahit keto, vegan, or ano pang diet yan.
I dont like keto because of those fats.. i used DUKAN diet high protein lean meat and low carb then meron syang 4 stages till ma stabilized yung dream weight mo.

Pagkain at nabubuhay po ang cancer cells sa carbs or sugar pero hindi po ito nabubuhay sa ketones. So kung tama po ang kinakain sa keto diet, anti cancer din ito. Plus kung sasabayan mo pa ng fasting (madali lang po kung nag ke keto ka) especially dxtended fasting to trigger autophagy, i be breakdown nya ang mga old, damaged, infected cells and convert to amino acids. So, pano ka mag ka ka cancer.
The dietitian needs to do keto. Whatever diet this dietitian is doing, it's clearly not helping her. The keto guru gave shallow explanations. Sayang Yung airtime. No mention of insulin resistance and why keto diet improves health by reducing overall blood insulin levels.

"Diet" simply means one's food intake first and foremost. It does not really pertain to weight loss, medically speaking. Inassociate lang naman ang term na diet sa weight loss nung nauso ang mga FAD DIETS. And yes, may mga studies naman talaga that ketogenic diet has good effects, especially for epileptics and in the short to medium term weight loss (and I would not discredit that- in fact there are doctors who recommend this dietary lifestyle), PERO hindi pa siya proven on the long term run, if it's safe on diabetics and what not. So what is recommended is still having balanced diet. ;)

Kakastart ko lang mgketo and for 5 days nawalan kaagad ako ng 3 kg although parang nagiging IF na din sya dahil hindi na ako nakakaramdam ng gutom once I take my lunch so water or black tea na lang ako pag hapon.

We get complex carbs from eating lots of vegetables. Ako naman 190 lbs. to 125 dahil din sa keto. 40 years akong trying to lose weight and Sa ketogenic diet lang ako pumayat. Matagal na pong napatunayan that the higher your cholesterol is (or should I say, "bad cholesterol" kasi may good cholesterol din naman), the higher the risk of heart issues. For me, it's the opposite way. Before I have bowel movement problem like i pooped every other 2-3 days but when I start doing keto diet , my bowel movement is now regular which is a good thing for me
