My mum was in a coma 2 weeks ago. She’s pulled through what was wrong, but she was so close to death. I am so close to her and she has always either lived with me or, as is the situation now, she is technically my tenant and lives 2 minutes from me. I love that I can see her daily.

I find it so interesting how 21 degrees is shorts and shirt weather in the UK, but coat and boots weather in Brazil.

The difference it makes to have a meal service take away that mental labour of planning, figuring out the ingredients, buying them etc is huge!!

I also love to spend time with my parents, as do both of my sisters. We're always saying how we need to see each other more often even! If you have a loving family and healthy relationships, it's great to spend time together. I feel very grateful to have my family ❤

Totally relate to the laying in bed with crippling anxiety about the thought of my parents not being here forever. They are older, 70s so it does play on my mind nowadays more, although for some reason I was the same when I was 6 or 7 and started really processing death. I am in my 30s and have just moved back with them and I too am enjoying spending more time with them these days. It's been great for our relationship.

When I was in my 20’s and away at uni I would wake up in the middle of the night with crippling anxiety that something had happened to my dad. I would have to call him to check in then 12 years ago he died. He was the only person who really knew me and I didn’t realise the value of that then. I spent a lot of time with him but I always wish now that I had spent more, especially in my 20’s. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t spend time with him in my mind, I go to places we went together, I eat food that we ate together and I know exactly what he would say in certain situations. I still miss him with the same intensity it just comes in waves. Treasure every moment you have, be present and it will ALWAYS be the small moments you will miss the most xo

Treasure every precious moment with your parents. My dad has incurable cancer and fear of the future stalks me every day.

We have no control over our future. I get what you’re saying though, I have moments where I worry about the future, but I try and stop myself because it doesn’t change the outcome. I have cancer. I am just going to live my life now. I am so sorry that your dad is battling this disease also. Make the most of every moment you get with him. ❤

Hey Bryony, I love your presentation style. I feel it's very familiar to how I think and talk and go about life - considering everything very systematically but also living creatively and intuitively.

It is great that you were able to socialize with Orryn because socializing is so important for mums. Grandparent time that is unexpected is also very nice to have because it brings joy to their faces. If I am a parent, I am going to try some of your meal prep ideas like morning porridge and finger foods for baby led weaning style eating.

I was very close to my mum,(foster mum) and would see and speak to her every day, she passed away in march 2002 and i miss her so much. sometimes you dont realise how so little time you have and how short life can be until its too late. I thought i had all the time to be with my mum, how wrong i was 😔🙁

Wait your dishwasher doesn't dry your dishes? In America they heat up to dry the dishes

About those medicine bottles, if you twist the cap around long enough, you can release the lid. I have seen 3 year olds with the patience and the will to get into them.
