The biggest problem that you guys didn’t talk about was how stupid and irresponsible Memory Lane auction house was to ship $2 Million dollars worth of high end sports cards to a low budget hotel when they should have definitely used an Armored Security truck delivery service for this kind of very high valued items!!
I wish PSA would clean up the population list of the 1988 Florida Gators Emmitt Smith Burger King RC. Becket published how to identify counterfeit cards, but PSA still grades cards without the BK logo or missing or incorrect TM symbols. They have to know about the counterfeits, but they're never been addressed.
If Beckett don't pay this man back, people should avoid buying BGS slabs or grading anything with them.

You know this...the level of criminality in sports cards is peanuts compared to the criminal element in more "sophisticated" collectibles markets. From rare books to literally antique door knobs, furniture, coins, art the shenanigans there are insane. From experts with phd's in all sorts of topics, forgeries, high stakes thefts, and on and on what goes on in sports cards is in the early stages of maturity. Inside Man, direcged by Spike Lee, is a great movie.

One other thing about the fake PMG Jordan, is that the seller also colored Jordan’s legs red. Real PMGs show Jordan’s legs as normal skin color. So clearly this is not a sheet-cut proof card.
Some of those old PSA slabs have weird fonts. Maybe they fake or PSA was not consistent with the fonts.

It will be close to impossible to contact the manufacturer of the Jordan PMG as Fleer went out of business in 2005. You’re asking a printer that printed the card 27 years ago and a company that hasn’t existed in 19 to go back and try and remember if the PMGs were proof cards. It’s not like the PMGs were hot cards in 1997 and someone would remember the process.There is no way someone associated with Fleer is around to answer those questions.

I am shocked that more people aren’t talking about the auction house shipping $2mm worth of cards to the Best Western. That seems completely absurd to me. There has to be a better and more secure option to ship the cards to locally for pick up.

Yeah, who’s gonna work with the FBI against PSA for favorable grades for their inside preferred customers? Makes this case look tiny in comparison. I’ve lost 10s of thousands because PSA under graded all the higher end cards I’ve sent in.
Just today I was robbed out of having a ( pop 1 ) 2010 PSA 10 CR7 card, I have enough evidence to prove 4 incidents or shoud I say exhibits ..My card I got back today makes the PSA 9's of the same card look like PSA 6 and I am not being sarcastic. But wait, the funny thing is that they gave me a PSA 8. Class action all the way! & Sign me up!.
Example of the truth of "inside PSA favorable grading" : There is 1, only 1 2012 Anthony Davis Green Prizm RC PSA 10. Greens were EXTREMELY rare in 2012, maybe only 15 ever graded on the pop. Report. They are ALL noticeably off center and they graded most of them as PSA 8s. Why is there only 1 that was graded as a PSA 10? It's not because it's a centered copy or in better condition than others. ????

what would stop the thief from cracking the slabs on the two missing cards and resubmitting them to sgc? trail stops there. i guess stupidity and ignorance would be the only hold ups.
It would be so helpful, if you all, with your resources would create content on helping us with the ways that you use to protect yourself from being scammed so that we the collectors learn what you know. I mean, Geoff is always touting how much you guys care about the customer. This is one way to prove it and show it.

13:34 - ebay authentication is a fecking joke. I bought an obviously real card and they rejected then sale because cause the seller,con his description, said the card would likely get a mint grade. after the rejection and buying it direct, the card did get a mint grade. I talked to ebay authentication them during the process and they refused to budge. just a stupid program. not surprising they screwed this PMG buyer he should sue them

eBay authenticity is a joke I bought a bray Wyatt auto came in an eBay authentication box so I got it checked by jsa and psa got with eBay and the seller nothing and eBay only said I was to late

I submitted 2 Michael Schumacher photos I got signed in person for slabbing/authenticity with PSA. PSA said they were not genuine. Never submitting anything to PSA ever again.
It's not a hobby anymore. It's a big business and it absolutely sucks. Cheaters cheat,and scammers scam. Always will find another way to steal money from good, hard working people.

You do not own the hobby nor do you have any legal knowledge .
These click bait littles are all a lot of people will see and they they cause just as much damage as anything else, you generally give out crap info and put effort into chasing completely the wrong cards at the wrong times. If everyone invests in 1st year rookie cards then 95% loose their money and quickly feel cheated and leave the hobby. Third and fourth year players are where anyone should start looking as well as soon to retire players will strong track records a solid personal resume and strong record in any sport. Directing money to these first year guys is destructive and more a crime to more people than a few fake slabs. I don’t need to see numbers to know they weren’t faking 50 dollar cards. If they put in the effort it’s almost for sure they were selling fake high end cards with minimal transactions

The Jordan PMG seller should just refund the money. Pretty simple fix. There’s evidence of guilt in his behavior. If the card turns out to be real (which it’s not), he will get much more than $23K for it.
