I have to be honest.. this guy is my favorite so far!!! So honest, so passionate but most of all, the fact that his family is debt free and he uses his collectibles to handle items and not go into hock tells me his kids are going to be great people as well since they have great parents to learn from! From the bottom of my tiny heart, thank you for this one!
Holy shit, the production value on this is truly off the charts. I felt like I was watching an NBC special on card collecting. This was really a joy to watch, and UA-cam PLAYED IT AUTOMATICALLY! I’m in awe of what he had, but more so I’m in awe of what you were able to get! I am so jealous, and you are so lucky to get it. I know they call it work to go through it all, to sort and to organize it, to grade it, post it all, sell it, etc… but so much of that is SO FUN ALSO. It’s literally like playing. Getting this collection gave you the thrill of the chase, and the thrill of the acquisition. Now comes the thrill of finding the TRUE gems of the collection, and the thrill of the sale of those gems. Some will come immediately, and some will happen years from now because you decided to sit on some pieces, but as a real collector (which you are), this will provide joy, fun, stress, adrenaline, happiness, frustration, excitement, disappointment, satisfaction, and on and on and on. The guy as well as the collection you purchased is the real one of one, and you were lucky enough to get that pull, so truly… congratulations! My one bit of sadness is that I can’t share in that joy you’ve earned, but you deserve it, and thank you for the opportunity to see it and for making this video to share that story!
Hey Jeff, glad you found us and enjoyed the episode! Watch them all. Maybe we’ll cross paths along the journey! We’ll be at the big national Chicago card show in July.
A lot of us say this after every episode, but that was my favorite episode ever. That guy was so nice and fair. Same with the card shop guys. Excellent.

This is now one of my fav UA-cam channels. Honestly loved the interaction , the calm but enjoyable experience of watching the collector tell their stories and the bitter sweet moment of them parting with their collection. The production for these vids are amazing and tv worthy. It’s awesome, keep up the great work!
Rick seemed like a great guy to just hang with and talk cards and the Clemente & Robinson both looked gorgeous. This was another great show. I think Ty needs set up a behind the scenes video where we get to see everything in some of these large collections that he buys. We usually get a quick look as they get shuffled through during the show but maybe layout 40-50 of the best stuff on a table and record quick clip scrolling over them we be great.
I have watching these all in a super random order. I swear each episode is the most money every spent and each time its right around 50. This show should actually be on TV.
That was a beautiful collection, and it was wonderful listening to the stories he had about acquiring some of his favorite items. Although it was a tough decision to get rid of his entire collection, he'll always have those stories to look back on and remember. What a nice guy he was too! You guys have a way of capturing some of the best moments! Loved the episode! When are you guys going to be on tv? This show is definitely a huge hit for the collecting community, and it would definitely be something I'd watch every episode of! Thanks again for another really special episode of your show.

Great deal! I've been working cards for many years. Hopefully, people understand say that he doubled it and TY sold collection for 60k 100% "profit." Well subtract 22% off the top in fees if sold on ebay or wherever. The market is correcting, so ebay will be the control being that not all will be sold there, but its a variable we can use. Then labor thats priceless! Then taxs say 25% off profit. So that has ty and team essentially breaking even with all the risk. Time! Time! Time! Fees, labor, taxs. Then, production of this high-end content. It's a risky tuff game. They are doing a great job and have to be businessmen. On top forge connections and relationships. These people agree to these deals! They also aint dumb considering they had the knowledge to build these collections to begin with. These guys are actually excellent partners!! Id support then being there probably the best content for our hobby. Remember, it starts with the joy of collecting. Collect on guys and keep chasing!!
I"m impressed.....you guys bellied up to the bar....and none of the consignment BS. Well....I"m glad for the seller most of all. He wanted the cash and he's got plans to do the right things with it. I always say, if you sell a beloved collectible and you do SOMETHING GOOD with the proceeds - then there's NOTHING wrong with that...and don't look back.
Yeah I think he undervalued his collection a bit, even during a down market. He could've easily gotten 50k for everything. Great deal for you guys. After piecing it out and grading, easily getting close to, if not, 6 figures when it's all said and done
Great show. Love the stories and documentation. 30k seems cheap, but being in the hobby myself, until you find someone with that amount of cash, a deal is a deal.

These people agree to these deals! They also aint dumb considering they had the knowledge to build these collections to begin with. These guys are actually excellent partners!! Id support then being there probably the best content for our hobby.
Remember, it starts with the joy of collecting. Collect on guys and keep chasing!!
Just came across this channel and I am blown away at the production quality and how awesome this content was. Bravo, I can't wait to watch more!
Thank you Bonkers! Share with your friends :-)
Now that is what I call a successful episode. Great deal on that collection Ty!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Love the content. What a collection! Definitely will double or triple your money!!😊
Appreciate it!
Thanks for watching.
Yeah I think he undervalued his collection a bit, even during a down market. He could've easily gotten 50k for everything. Great deal for you guys. After piecing it out and grading, easily getting close to, if not, 6 figures when it's all said and done
Well it's been a hard collection to sell since we've filmed. The market is falling day by day! ugh...
Awesome deal for both parties and another fantastic episode. That was an awesome win win situation for all parties.
Thanks for watching!
Great show. Love the stories and documentation. 30k seems cheap, but being in the hobby myself, until you find someone with that amount of cash, a deal is a deal.
30k was pretty fair. Based on our to date sales, we’re not even close to breaking even. A lot of these cards will sit in our stores for many months.
Great episode guys! Rick was a good dude and very logical about its value. So much fun! Also, the song “the wildest thing” by Riley Moore sounded awesome. Immediately went and looked it up. Hahaha Thanks!
So cool!
Just subscribed, that collection was incredible. Need some more people like that in the hobby for sure.
Thanks for the sub!
Loved this episode. Live in NC so felt at home in a way. The way y’all film makes me feel so relaxed and loving the hobby again. Keep up the great videos.
Awesome! That’s the idea! We’ll share your sentiment with Matt. Thank you!
Best show on UA-cam. Won’t miss an episode!
Thanks we need to hear that!
Great Episode live in Tennessee love that big orange sign on the wall.
Haha. Beautiful state!
Love this episode! Great guy, awesome cards!
Thank you Darren!
Great deal, great episode. If I bought that collection the “problem” I’d have is I’d end up not wanting to sell it 🤣
You and us both!!!
Great deal for you at 30k. Feels like he undersold himself, but....he obviously really, really knows what he's doing. If he says 30k, I believe him!
He had a good grasp on the market...it was fair for both of us.
Awesome episode - great collection! Well worth the 30K in my opinion
I think so too!
What a trip man! The Lad with the huge collection was a gun!!! Loved it. Watching from Australia mate. Keep em coming!
Wow! Thanks for tuning in!
Was talking to some of the guys and man it is great to just hear your voice again. Love your show big man ❤

this video gave me goosebumps........what a collection. Seems there are fair and honest people in the business still. Great stuff!
Best episode to date. Keep ‘em coming.
Think so? Rick is a hard guy not to like!
Fantastic episode all around! Love the way Rick approached his own collection - both acquiring and selling. Super fair deal, glad Ty and the team could pick it up.
Glad you enjoyed it
This collection was incredible. Jaw dropping.
