    Many people of 50 or over 50 are pre diabetic or diabetic and need to curb their sugar and carb intake. That is why the Keto movement is so strong. Oatmeal is very high in carbs and not recommended on a Keto diet. You can substitute oatmeal with chia, hemp, coconut, flax etc to have an oatmeal experience but low carb.

    This video is has some serious flaws: Oatmeal? Whole grain? Seriously? Look this up; whole grain compared to white bread has the same carbs, the same glycemic index and the same insulin triggering effect. The rest of the list is fine although it is just a retelling of what 1000+ other videos by actual researchers tell us.
