I recommend tying a line to the motor BEFORE bringing it to the boat in case it falls overboard, it looks shallow there but it could be deep in some places. Also tying the outboard to the boat always is a good idea, as the torque can make the motor fall off the mount underway if it came loose from the mount by vibration.
