I have a special place in my heart for Casio. They seem to have an endless supply of cool models that are very affordable. I recently picked up an analog day date that I love, the MTD-1087-1AV. It looks fantastic on a brown leather Colareb I had lying around. My collection is ever expanding. Cheers for another great video!
I can't understand why this watch is so expensive in my part of the world (Eastern Europe) Just picked this up yesterday for the equivalent of 45 USD. And it was on sale (black Friday or something)! The list price is around 110 USD (on several local web-sites), which is bonkers for a NON-G_Shock Digital watch! But I am very happy with my purchase.
Wow wow wow!!! I just watched the intro three times and have not even watched the review yet. Best intro ever on any channel. And all of this for a $30 watch. Unbelievable. I’m gonna go watch the video now. Thanks TGV!
The SGW100 is a great watch. Found it at the family home in a drawer, my brothers old casio, changed battery and it works like new after all these years. So easy to use and the fact that you have the local time shown regardless of which mode you enter is great. Also the timer function is something every digital watch should have The SGW100 wears much smaller then the size would suggest , I highly recommend you review the SGW100 and its an extremely intuitive watch to use.
Well, this video sold me on which casio really fit my needs and price range for a work watch. Also this is one of the best channel I've seen for watch reviews.
This past week, I bought both the Protrek PRT-50 and this watch, the SGW-600H. I was looking for something that would John Anderton might have worn. I’ll never know why they CGIed over an Omega X-33 but I’ve wanted something similar for years. The floating dial of the ProTrek comes closest to what I was looking for but I also purchased this Casio because I remembered the vid. These are my favorite reviews because they tie together sci-fi and watches.
Thank you sir! I am deeply honored, a compilation is certainly long over due, excellent idea. I will certainly do it when we hit 500k subs. Best regards, TGV
I love my Casios TGV, especially my Rangeman. If every I’m concerned about what watch to wear while out and about, beach, bush (Aussie term there) or gardening, i go for my Casios. Tough and dependable while having a bit of a tactical aesthetic. Btw, if were Casio, I’d be contacting you to work with their team on their next advertising campaign. Excellent intro yet again TGV👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻. U & G to the good Gentry.
I felt just as giddy about my $15 Casio as I did for my $500 Seiko. When you can get a cool looking watch for well under $100, how can one not get so excited!
The time zone map looks cool, but giving such a large chunk of the limited display space for such a niche bit of information may not be functionally the best solution.
I'm not really a watch person myself but i had a fable for g-shocks. Your review made me buy this casio... And omg since i saw your bulova accutron astronaut in another review you did I'm hooked. There are so many beauty's out there!
There are lots of fun and quirky watches from Casio--although this one has some essentials for outdoor types. I bought a similar one, the Casio SGW-100, as something to wear while jogging. I correctly guessed that my plans to exercise/jog wouldn't last, and as such, I got a cool compass/thermometer type of watch.
One I like about digital watches and hybrid watches from casio is that during testing, exam, and traveling. I don't get confiscated for having such cheap watch. Screw smartwatches because they use internet and bluetooth connectivity. Spies always say "low tech beats high tech." So I believe old techmologies are still being appreciated today. Because this watch is great for an outdoor adventure, I came to a right video to be in. Great video and review.
Fantastic review of a very underated watch. I must say as a lifelong watch collector I have a couple of Casios a G Shock and the rotating bezel MTD model with black PU strap, they do a metal bracelet version as well, it's a beautiful looking substantial watch, very good build quality, very bright illuminator, day and date display, it has a face that is a diver watch inspired design, water resistant to 100m. Amazing price, I paid around £59 for it, easily looks like it cost more than twice as much. That's the main thing with casio watches for me very good value for the money. Going back, my first watch was a very basic cheap Timex but the next decent watch I got was the original casio calculator watch with the numerical 'space invader' game built in, that was a superb watch to have around 1980😎👍😊😁 After a long gap and now in my 50s I've revisited my casio roots, for nostalgic and retro reasons. 😎👍 My G Shock is very robust, wear it when doing manual tasks, outdoor activities, riding my mountain bike etc it can take a lot of knocks, drops etc without fear of damaging it, I can highly recommend them perfect wristwatch for a builder or mechanic etc 😎👍
The start of (An Underrated $30 Casio Watch: Compass, Thermometer, Worldtime SGW600H) I play it over & over i don't know why but especially the start, that 80s tech theme song so powerful, how on earth did you put it off, a must love !!!
Once again remarkable intro!!! Excellent presentation and analysis... i just ordered it through a local DO since my garmin fenix 5X, is starting to de-performe... Thank you TGV!
I love my World Timer. I do not have this model and might pick one up. My version had a 10 year battery and after 7 days I cracked the acrylic crystal. I hit it hard. 6 months later I am still using it and it is still waterproof. Swim with it all the time. Casio makes a great product. TGV, again great video and good information. Keep it up. God Bless.
I love this one so much i have both the negative display seen here and the regular display. I like the regular display a bit more but they are both amazing.
Great review I was looking for some reviews on this watch and couldn't find many if any in English anyway but you did a fantastic job love your channel
I am a Casio junkie and really appreciate the fact that while last week you featured a Rolex, this week you are reviewing this while rocking an F-91W. A lot of us will never be able to afford a Rolex. Despite this fact, you reaffirm that we are also collectors!! Keep up the excellent work!!
Hello! What a day- a great watchfinder video on a beautiful Patek and now an affordable Casio! This one is definitely on the purchase list...Hope all is well. Best regards, Tom
Good luck changing that strap! You've gotta be super careful as the resin can easily get knocked out of shape. I've got the World Time AE-2000W-9AVEF , $30 and amazing specs, 200m wr, 5 alarms, 10yr battery but boy did I struggle changing out that strap. If you are going to put a Nato it's gonna have to be less than 18mm, more like 14mm and that starts to look a little stringy. Great channel. Love you stuff.
I have worn this watch for over a year as a work watch, I needed a compass for rough approximation and this watch fit the bill perfectly! Awsome watch for the money, be careful though, I wound up buying the entire twin sensor series because of it....I may have a addiction!
I decided to go back to wearing a watch, and I got the blue & black version of this for $30 on Amazon and ordered the black one in this video for $35 on ebay. Really liking it for that Sci-Fi/industrial/tactical look of it. Comfortable to wear, but i would like to try a different strap on it. Also got a G-Shock DW9052-1BCG for $42.
If you think about it that is crazy value for money. It's still tough as hell too. Great video and big ups for covering lower value watches which are still brilliant pieces. Shows integrity and honesty and that's why we love you... Thanks
great...it's gonna be $45 on Amazon now...wait a minute, why can I hear my credit card sweating?? I jest, TGV. Always good to see the upload notification from you.

Fantastic start to the video - that will upset some commentators......not my type of watch but the video (is that what we call it, I am old 😂), was interesting and is always an education. Thanks for taking the time 😁👍
10:30 Love how you compare this watch with Half Life series. Very original! I got the blue one with a positive display (SGW-600H-2A). Great watch overall!
The digital world map with the compass design is very late era Cold War. I'm just loving it, especially with the 'computer terminal green' colored back light. I know the tech is a little newer, but you could imagine someone stationed in Berlin in the year 1986 wearing it. People complaining it's taking up too much real estate are really missing the point here. Great review! Great watch! I have Casio twin sensor with a compass feature. I used it for hiking where I couldn't use my phone and the compass feature was SUPER useful. I'm sure it will come in handy navigating London, since I don't have UK phone & still haven't found a place yet. Market is crazy here! I'm sure I'll do a lot of walking without Google Map. Time to put on my twin sensor again!
Thank you Jeremy, I secretly envy you being without a phone! Reminds me of a recent Will Self lecture I just watched about the negative effects of the "man machine matrix". Good luck in London, enjoy every second, no where else like it! Best regards, TGV
Because of the excellent review you did to this piece I just bought this for my humble collection. In all honesty I was just a hair away from acquiring an affordable Xiaomi smartwatch but then again... They don’t have neither prestige nor horological history and Casio has enough to spread to many other similar choices and still left with plenty of respect behind. Another thing that strikes me is that sleek profile and looks that (Warning: Rant!) G-Shocks annoy me big time for displaying all over the place the functions and features in ways I don’t find attractive. Anyhow great vid and greetings from Baja man, I hope you’re safe and sound 😁
Good evening TGV, I great intro, nice synth-soundtrack and some retro sci-fi images. I like the split display on this Casio. With the timezones and the compass this Casio seems a quite nice travel companion.
Really loved this video, and the reference to possibly the best PC game of all time. Your content is improving with each video, where will this end?!? Also, my fears that "Powered by Watchbox" would negatively affect your quality were completely unfounded, the videos have improved if anything. Keep bringing it, TGV!
Bar-none the best timepiece channel. I have watched and followed so many wstch channels but I always go back to Urban Gentry. I really like these practical low cost value for money Casios.
I scored a blue one without the negative display for $10 on clearance at Walmart. Unfortunately wasn’t tough enough for my lifestyle and I cracked the display. It was great while I had it! I upgraded to a Mudman.
One thing I love about your channel 30 dollar watches to 30,000 dollar watches you do a fantastic job.
One thing I love is the fact that it took a whole minute just to do the intro
I love how you treat all decent watches with respect. It doesn't alienate those of us who can't shell out the $$$$$ for a timepiece. Thank you!
If you do that to a Casio, you are actually direspecting it.
@@debendragurung3033 better to scratch the mineral glass aye

OH MY GOD!!! that is a hell of a killa intro. Now that is how an intro needs to be done. Very clever.
Truly enjoy your watch reviews. The history, artistry, and description of each watch is excellent. Thanks
I can't understand why this watch is so expensive in my part of the world (Eastern Europe)
Just picked this up yesterday for the equivalent of 45 USD.
And it was on sale (black Friday or something)!
The list price is around 110 USD (on several local web-sites), which is bonkers for a NON-G_Shock Digital watch!
But I am very happy with my purchase.
I haven't seen a review as beautiful as this ! Thanks 🙏🏻
I love when you bring really interestinc cheap pices to the chanel!
Wow wow wow!!! I just watched the intro three times and have not even watched the review yet. Best intro ever on any channel. And all of this for a $30 watch. Unbelievable. I’m gonna go watch the video now. Thanks TGV!
Love to see you review some Casio Edifice watches in the near future. The technology and price combination is hard to beat as well.
The SGW100 is a great watch. Found it at the family home in a drawer, my brothers old casio, changed battery and it works like new after all these years.
So easy to use and the fact that you have the local time shown regardless of which mode you enter is great. Also the timer function is something every digital watch should have

Well, this video sold me on which casio really fit my needs and price range for a work watch. Also this is one of the best channel I've seen for watch reviews.
Love that you review all price ranges!!
Welcome back to the real world TGV! It feels like you’re back to the roots of what made you so darn popular!
Great model and value! 🔥🔥🔥
This watch is goated! I have this exact piece and imma say it again goated!!
That was a mesmerizing intro! Thanks for another great video TGV!
Thanks TGV, just bought this in Black for $119.00 AUD with a normal top and bottom display and absolutely love it. A great beater watch!
Very descriptive video! Congratulations! I already ordered it mine at Amazon! Thanks a lot for all the information!

Thanks for the review..been looking at this watch for a while and functionality for price point seems unbeatable.
These intros are better than movie trailers at the cinema ! Do a 2 hour collage of them and release it to DVD ! 5/7 would buy
Thank you sir!

Great looking Casio, brilliant review of it, no one does better reviews on youtube!
I felt just as giddy about my $15 Casio as I did for my $500 Seiko. When you can get a cool looking watch for well under $100, how can one not get so excited!
Same here. I have many watches, some expensive ones but I often don a Casio. Difference between a watch enthusiast vs a watch snob, I suppose.
Your tone exudes excitement when you review Casio
The time zone map looks cool, but giving such a large chunk of the limited display space for such a niche bit of information may not be functionally the best solution.
That’s the point. Have you seen the fishfinder Casio?
Finally, a watch featured on this channel that I had FIRST! Got mine in '17.
90$ actualy 😔
Why i have miss this video in september 2019... 😔

Best Harbor Freight calipers! Pittsburgh! Woot! Oh and of course your intro and reviews are outstanding! Rock on TGV!🦖
I bought it after this awesome 👏 review 🙏 thanks . the most factor for me is the light weight as a tactical watch
Is there any budget twin sensor offering like this which also includes moon phase, tides and fishing tine assistant?
I decided to go back to wearing a watch, and I got the blue & black version of this for $30 on Amazon and ordered the black one in this video for $35 on ebay.
