I grew up listening to their fathers and it warms me heart that their traditional songs and voices continue into the future. I sing and play the guitar and have introduced these songs to my son, Sean and my hope is he will remember and pass them on too.

I went to see Makem and Clancy in the Astoria in Bundoran in August 1978 - as a plastic Paddy born and bred in London I was hooked on Irish music ever since.

Come on, guys. You both are way too talented to be taking part in such a gimmicky act. Have a little more faith in yourselves. You’ll never be Makem and Clancy, but you can be damn fine musicians in your own right.
