I'm a versatile player and its helpful for me at least to know I can do other things besides metal especially when this one doesn't come cheap. But like you I'm a meat and potato kinda guy. I want it to be Jekyll and Hyde
Yesterday I received this guitar from thomann. Well, what can I say? It's fucking amazing guitar! The sound is perfect for me and the quality is really amazing. I'm very satisfied and proud of owning this one. Cheers to all! \m/
The neck is thin enough and the jumbo frets are perfect for my fingers, well it's nice for shredding and comfortable for playing in general. If you ask about the fretwork, so it's also well done and doesn't hurt my hand.
Sweetwater has the RG3727FZ in stock right now -- since Ibanez won't sell their trem guitars in the USA anymore with ZPS, Sweetwater imported it from EU and is selling it here! At least they know what people want.
+The2bdkid Ibanez has been shite the past few years when it comes to trems. Their best tremolos are the ZR 2 and the Edge Zero with ZPS -- both of which are totally gone from the united states except for certain signature models (Herman Li, etc.). I thought it was because of the lawsuit, but apparently that is not true. Ibanez will not get my money ANY time soon -- although if you check Sweetwater, what they have been doing is importing the European market Ibanez's with trems to sell them here in the USA.
If you like pickups that sound like a duck and short scales. I picked one up and returned it FOR a KM7 the next day. Too mid heavy/quacky, and the low string was too dark and undefined no matter what string gauge I took to it.
Different isn't better, theyre both fantastic guitars. I have a km7 but fell in love with this guitar after playing one for an hour or so. The neck profiles and aesthetics are different but for a metal guitar, they're pretty much on the same level. It just becomes a point of personal tastes.
One of the nicest looking Ibby's i've seen in a long time. It's just a shame that their thin necks cause me wrist pain pretty fast :/ ...Just not meant to be, I guess
+Toby K. The Nitro Wizard is not nearly as thin as the wizard neck that is on the prestige models. I would definitely give one of these a try if you haven't felt one in your hands.
+Filipe Pereira interesting, I just assumed like every other iron label I've tried that it was a kill switch. Still would prefer a true tone pot but a coil tap is definitely more my speed. I'll def look into it. Thanks man
Herrdesrings Tone knobs are great for fine tuning sounds, especially cleans. I get that a lot of people don't want them because they don't need or use them though.
tigerbalm You're a 100% correct. I bought the black and green Universe because, I used to have original one back in the day. It was the biggest piece of garbage. I'll never buy another one.
actually their indo-made guitars have improved a lot in quality compared to, say the year 2009, and i've owned a fair bit of korean made guitars and honestly the rgaix7fm is on par if not better than some korean-made guitars (my ic400, my schecter blackjack 7, etc etc)... the worst for me are china made ones..utterly horrible!
+Francisco Clemente A couple years ago I bought the iron label rg and it came with that bridge. The saddles were pretty high out of the box so I tried lowering them. The wall surrounding the saddles was too tall for me to lower the action to a decent level. Basically I wouldn't have been able to palm mute efficiently because my hand would be resting on the top of the bridge rather than the saddles/ strings.
Finally a good demo of the guitar. I've been plowing through a thousand "reviews" made by people who can only play blues and reggae.
....lol.
yeah.
we need more downtuned open chord sludgy crud!!!
right!? I feel your pain, man. good to hear someone with real skills play it.
I know right. I don't get why people decide to review an RGA then start playing their country music licks
I'm a versatile player and its helpful for me at least to know I can do other things besides metal especially when this one doesn't come cheap. But like you I'm a meat and potato kinda guy. I want it to be Jekyll and Hyde
Now this guitar is gorgeous.
Very Beautiful Guitar Ibanez, Brazil🙋
Beautiful Ibanez
Great look. Super intrigued by the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups.
1:20 That Backing Guitar Riff Is Evil *_*
one of the best 7 string guitars i have ever tried
Best rhythm guitar ever made.
I can attest, the DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups sound really nice!
Yes, agree. They are the new PAF. Both of them are very versatile and good.
Francesco is one sick player, kinder like a heavier version of the mighty JP..That setup sounds awesome..

MrSoulful88 man how is the feeling on the fretboard.i wana get my first seven stribg and i was thinking ti get this one
The neck is thin enough and the jumbo frets are perfect for my fingers, well it's nice for shredding and comfortable for playing in general. If you ask about the fretwork, so it's also well done and doesn't hurt my hand.
MrSoulful88 just ordered it 🤘🏻
that is just the type of comments i need to read before buying the guitar thank you sir!!
Best rhythm guitar ever build!
Waiting to get mine! :)
I loved the 6 string version so much I HAD to get this one too lol. Ibanez rarely gets things perfect for me but they did this time lol
Yes atast somthing that doesn't suck for a demo! Thanks man
Getting my first 7 string... actually the RGAIX7FM ;)
Hey man ! Looking for my first 7 strings too. Did you get yours (this one) ? And have you been satisfied ?
Prestige, in glossy finish, more colors and a trem please!!!
Now this guy is a metal player, more chop's than a butcher shop, pickups bound gr8, I think I will get them in my RG 570, 97 model....
Oh I'd kill for an Iron Label
Killer riff!!!
Only thing that would make it better is if it had a reverse headstock for a little better string tension on the low B
If only they had an Iron Label Prestige range!
what is the tuning ?
and what kind of strings are on there ?
want this beauty

Could you tell me if it is light weight? I'm having problems with my back so I would lke a light weight guitar. Thank you!
It's a shame Guitar Center doesn't still those yet!
Why would you guys not make one of these with a Floyd or Edge?!?!
+The2bdkid yup
+The2bdkid RGA-420z was nearly exactly what you are asking for. I'm glad Ibanez released this beauty here as hardtail.

what tuning is this song?
Who has the guitar tab for this song??? REALLY a goooooood instrument song!
Oh hell yes...
Nice tone ^^ , what pickups are those and what tunning was he playing? Is it Drop A?
Dimarzio Fusion Edge pickups and the Laney Ironheart 60w I think.
Sounds like drop A to me.
MOST BEAUTIFUL GUITAR EVER MADE. FUCK I WILL GET THIS
I fancy the 6 string version.
but.... no tone knobs??
however...... do i really use them just now on other guitars....?
hmmmmm not much
Hello friend! which kit when you purchase the guitar??
tune?
get this back into production plss or at least swap the pickups and bridge on the rga742fm
Uuuf! Definitely metal to be he core! 👍👏👏👏👏 🤘💀
this is better than KM7
If you like pickups that sound like a duck and short scales. I picked one up and returned it FOR a KM7 the next day. Too mid heavy/quacky, and the low string was too dark and undefined no matter what string gauge I took to it.
yes it is !
@@kmw5100 sounds like an Amp problem not a guitar problem.

Fucking sick ! Amazing guitarist !
Put a tone knob on this instead of a kill switch and I'd have ordered one already
I believe you could install a tone pot and take out the kill switch but I could be mistaken.
+Nick Catelli Actually, it is a coil tap switch.
+Filipe Pereira interesting, I just assumed like every other iron label I've tried that it was a kill switch. Still would prefer a true tone pot but a coil tap is definitely more my speed. I'll def look into it. Thanks man
+Nick Catelli Nobody needs tone knobs, volume is all we need.
Herrdesrings Tone knobs are great for fine tuning sounds, especially cleans. I get that a lot of people don't want them because they don't need or use them though.
Any tabs ?
same question
Ibanez are making crap guitars now in Indonesia....nothing like Korean, japan, Mexico! The quality is down the crapper unless you are lucky...
tigerbalm You're a 100% correct. I bought the black and green Universe because, I used to have original one back in the day. It was the biggest piece of garbage. I'll never buy another one.

Cant stand those Gibraltar bridges. Should've gone with a regular hardtail or tight end.
I prefer Floyd Rose Bridge
What's wrong with them? (I'm asking seriously, I'm thinking about buying a guitar with that bridge)
+Francisco Clemente
nothing wrong with the bridge
+Justin Lee This has the Gibraltar 2 bridge which doesn't have that wall surrounding the saddles ;)
Wow, Jared Leto learned how to play the guitar properly xD
We Need a fucking backing track for this.Tried to remove the leads about 4 hours now and couldn`t do it. So please give me a fucking Backing track.
His finger are fucking long.
Hard tail!?? FAIL! What the fuck!?
