Marco did a great job but he likes to change and add the unnecessary "fill's" which is ruined certain part of drum notes while Romain still blast faster,more creative,and more clean. No hate to Marco,I love him...and thank God he didn't get selected by Dream Theater.

I’ve kinda just given up on necrophagist doing anything ever again. Don’t hold your breath on any new music
Spawn of Possession really nailed it on their album Incurso, and Rings of Saturn's guitar solos are insane. I don't think anyone can dethrone Necrophagist, but these other bands are definitely on the same level when it comes to musical skill.
Necrophagist is an excellent example ov a band who's members are all evenly matched in terms ov skill. They're all very lucky to have found one another such as they have.

SEMAJ and now here I am in 2020, brought here by another channel illustrating death metal techniques and some comments about how this band were badass brought me here. Never heard of them until now. I love metal and thrash, not death metal, but jeez these dudes could play. Love the fact they didn’t feel they had to look like satanic goats too.
I struggle to play Blink 182 and sing at the same time and this guy plays this shit and growls with extreme prowess without even breaking a sweat. Fucking awesome in the most literal sense.
Muhammed Suiçmez is the reason I start learning sweep picking and improved my playing just to play his solos. Fermented Offal Discharge and Advanced Corpse Tumour solos is technical yet sounds so beautiful, first time I've hear FOD solo I was like " That's the most unique solo I've ever heard, I need to play that" and when I thought FOD solo is masterpiece, Ive heard Corpse Tumour solo," this guy is musical genius, time to learn another pieces " . And another masterpiece: Culinary Hyperversity. I don't listen to alot of death metal bands but Necrophagist is exceptions

1994bm4 It's technical death metal. Even the biggest bands in the genre play small venues, it's not a very popular or mainstream genre, at least not popular enough for "huge crowds."

to answer the original question, IMO the mainstream crowd wants simple, recycled repetitive garbage music because they're scared to branch out and listen to something different...danny lilker said if the human ego finds something it doesn't like or doesn't understand, it will immediately dismiss is as talentless garbage without giving it a second thought
A lot of these bands, including what I consider excellent and big names in my mind, really struggle financially when relying on the band alone for income. I was reading an interview a few years back - I think it may have been with Derek Roddy, but not definite, who made a similar point. A lot of these drummers run clinics etc to supplement their income. Obviously, you can't rely on music sales any more, so the money has to come from touring really. I'm friends with Jock from GBH - I know it's punk but they influenced Slayer, Metallica etc - 30 odd years of touring and a load of albums and they just about make a living. Saying that, they get to tour all over the world and do get reasonably big crowds and are doing what they love so there are no complaints there!
Because they didn't tour enough perhaps...you can tell by their releases. Don't listen to shit like "not popular enough", because it's not true. You can some serious coin if you're willing to struggle....
