@@Ottophil As a guitarist myself, there hasn't been as nearly as many as there are now. Back in your day, female were not encouraged to play, it was considered unlady like. Today, we are encouraged so no, not as nearly as many by any standard.
Yeah, it's quite interesting how they went with a slant without the multi-scale... Personally, 26.5 is a must for the 7th string. But... Do you really need another guitar?🤔
@@chopholtz4950 hi, I think our preferences are very different 😅😅 I run a 26.5" and use a 9-52 set for drop Ab. It's really bendy for the upper 6 strings and I love it like that. Admittedly 52 is a bit floppy for Ab, but I'm living with it and I think it's a good compromise between string sets and thinness of the lower string compared to tension. I don't see the increase in 1" scale impede me much, and with the other strings dropped a semitones, it means when I have to play E standard, I have to shift up a fret, negating the effects of the increased stretch. But really, I said it before, it's my opinion, and I wouldn't really want a smaller scale for myself. But that doesn't mean it's bad/undoable. I know Jason Richardson tunes to drop G on his 25.5"s.
