"It's a great day to be alive" by Travis is a great song. It was also covered by Home Free. Lots of good music by Travis. "More than you'll ever know" is another

Travis Tritt was one of the Class of '89 (the others being Clint Black, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, and Mary Chapin Carpenter). It's been a long time since I listened to Travis but I definitely second 10 Feet Tall and Bullet Proof as another fun song of his.

Songs by Travis Tritt you might like Anymore, Tell Me I Was Dreaming, & If I Lost You. They are like a 3 part movie. Also I'm Gonna Be Somebody ❤

I seen Travis live when this song was on top of the charts, he told everyone before he sang it that if anyone threw quarters at the stage the concert would be over. He said when they started performing this song live they were getting pelted with quarters by the crowd. He is a great entertainer, hell of a guitar player and got a badass voice. Check out his song "Anymore" for a softer side of him.

His trilogy has already been recommended. "Anymore," "Tell Me I was Dreaming," and "If I Lost You." Do those as a single reaction. It'll make a long video, but it will be TOTALLY worth it!
And for something totally unrelated, check out Radio Company and Louden Swain.

People always recommend those, but I dont think Tell me I was dreaming or If I lost you were very good songs of his, tbh. He has way better songs for people to react to than those 2. Anymore is amazing, but the other 2, I think peopel would much prefer some of his other stuff. Trouble, Bonnie and Clyde, Where the corn dont grow, Bible belt, Great Day to be alive, etc.
Its nice that its sort of a video trilogy, but in terms of songs, I just dont think they compare to a lot of his other hits.

This is actually autobiographical, Travis was served with Divorce papers on the same day his ex-wife called to reconcile. Travis sat down and wrote this song. 🙂

Yes you said it right. I saw Travis in concert a couple years back and it was announced before he came out "Do not throw quarters at the stage during that song." It was said people at other shows had thrown quarters during that song and he was hit in the face leaving several bruises and injuries. 😬

    Travis is great!!
He did a trilogy of really great songs that focus on a veteran, you should watch the actual music videos to get the story. "Anymore", "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" & "If I Lost You".
He's got a lot of other excellent songs like "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" & "The Day The Sun Stood Still"

When he first came out with song they would throw quarters up on stage he was injured by one so they put a 55 gallon barrel up and ask that you put your quarters in that and not throw them on stage which he gave to VA hospitals

Man, I remember in the 5th grade, I said something while the teacher was standing in the front, talking to the class. He asked me, "Do you have a quarter?"
I confusingly said, "No. I have a dollar."
He replied, "Go call someone who cares."
And of course embarrassment sat in. Lol

Another great one with Travis is when he does a collaboration with Marty Stuart (they are good friends and both great musicians) and the title is "This One's Gonna Hurt You For a Long Long time" ... I think you will like it!

Nice! I've loved him since the early 90s - great voice and his "belters" and honky-tonk stuff I really really love. Try songs like Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde, T-R-O-U-B-L-E, 10 Feet Tall and Bulletproof, Put Some Drive in Your Country, This One's Gonna Hurt You, etc, etc.

This song was actually so popular that during his concerts fans would throw quarters at the stage during the song. Unfortunately it eventually ended up becoming a safety hazard when quarters thrown by audience members hit Travis in the face and left him bleeding and unable to finish his performance. He apparently still has a scar from the incident.

We used to have pay phones and it cost a quarter to make a call. My best friend was 2 years older than me. She was going on a date and they decided to make it a triple date. They asked me to go with one of her date's friends. (All these people went to out church - Baptist church!) We went to get pizza and they decided to buy a pitcher of beer!! (Lol) I wanted to go home! They ended up getting Coke instead, but my friend's date gave me a quarter in case I ever needed to call my mom and dad to come get me!!😂🤣😂🤣😂
