This year's review once again features an extensive look back at my favourite scenes from the world of mainline steam. 2015, will go down as an extremely testing time, for all who are involved in the mammoth operation of mainline running, and with an uncertain future, we all hope for a positive return in 2016, with a wrath of big name locos scheduled for return.
Regardless of the ongoing issues surrounding the operation of mainline steam, 2015 still provided us with many highlights & excellent loco performances across the mainline network, which I was lucky to witness. Once again, I would like to thank all my subscribers & returning viewers for there comments & support throughout the year. I hope you enjoy the compilation.

brilliant video the train that came through at night with the inside of the cab lit up by the fire that made my day it was bloody brilliant keep up the good eork you have a very satisfied customer waiting for the next video so thats a big thumbs up from me
Great video. Thanks.
I really enjoyed watching this video, some great shots, thanks for posting.
+Timsvideochannel1 Thanks very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Brilliant compilation as always. I particularly enjoyed those sequences of locos accelerating their trains up to speed. I think that would make a great compilation - Mainline Steam Acceleration - when you get time in what seems to be an incredibly busy schedule bringing such pleasure and nostalgia to those like me who can remember times pre diesel
Thanks Mark, that's a good idea. Maybe one for the future. I have just finished off my end of year compilations which will be available Xmas and the new year.
Very sweet video
thank you

Awesome
Excellent compilation Liam. Like you say, we think of 2015 as not being the best for steam but there were still some good performances to be seen. Much to look forward to this year with a few newcomers to the scene
+acw71000 Thanks again, Austin. Looking forward to this year with anticipation, though the court case with the O.R.R, is keeping my feet on the ground for the moment. Thanks as always.
Great stuff. I love the one with Britannia being slowed by the signal on Shap and then accelerating away when it clears.
+Pesmog Thanks very much. I think that was probably the highlight of the year for many fellow enthusiasts. Thanks for watching. Regards, Liam
We left Euston station in July. 1953 for Scotland on the Royal Scot. The train was comfortable and speedy. We had a great time which I remember well.
Many thanks for the time and trouble you took to produce this. A wonderful collection. As for the 22 down ticks, just WTF did you expect to find here ?
Absolutely Brilliant.
Thanks very much Billy !
The dislikes are from the people that don't know steamies
Why some of the trains have to have a Diesel locomotive at the end pushing it?
BUT WHERE IS THE LOCO AND LOCATION INFOM AN OTHRRWISE EXCELLENT FILM RUINED BY THSES OMMISSIONS.
Hello, could I use some parts of your video? Thank you
Hi, sorry I don't give away my material for free. Thanks for asking though !
Ok thanks!
How come the castle always seemed to have the lightest train?
+streamleazefishhouse The castle rarely runs with a big load. You'll be lucky to see it with more than 10. At least with the smaller loads, there is no need for a diesel.
Why is that (granted according to Wikki) it has an impressive tractive effort similar to the Gresley A3/LMS Royal Scott class.
It's to do with the tour operating company. They rarely overload there trains. The Castle is well capable of hauling heavy trains, as it's done in the past over the S&C and up Sapperton. The scenes in the video you were referring to was a trip, to Lincoln, where the tour was close to being undersold, but ran just about in profit.
