Steam locomotives In The Countyside #2
• Steam Locomotives In T...
In this video the British countryside is portrayed at it's very best, with a compilation of my favorite scenes from some of the best rural spots in the United Kingdom. With superb backdrops and stunning landscapes. The British countryside is complemented with with a selection of locomotives steaming along on the best stage of all. Scenes are taken from the last three years featuring action from the mainline & preserved railways.
I hope you enjoy the compilation.

Mr. Marsh,
Exquisite, artistic, and stunning steam train videos immersed in the English countryside. Absolutely delightful. Many thanks for your commitment to providing awesome train videos for those who are fortunate enough to subscribe to your channel.
Neal, thanks for your kind comment. I'm glad you ejoyed the compilation.
All Aboard. All Aboard. Enjoy the ride.
I have been on The North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line at lot of times.
This year was my first time on The Mid - Norfolk Railway.
It certainly had made a big change to me.
Fabulous footage as always my friend ... Top man ...
Beautiful videos I love the zcenery
Why these gorgeous videos do not find a wider audience is beyond me. They are superb.
Thomas and Friends Song.
That's what friends are for.
You're a really useful engine.
You're a really useful railway.
That Stokesay castle gradient must be at least 1 in10!
Wow. Interesting.
There is no finer sight than Steam trains in the lovely British countryside. Thank you for the great videos
Superb. I can sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy this. Thanks. Laurie.
+Calvertfilm You're welcome Laurie, all the best.
Wow! That "fluttering" sound of 61306 at 1313 makes the hairs stand up on my arms. It's not only the look of these glorious trains, but, without doubt some of the sounds are almost a personality of each individual engine, and, probably the action of some of the wonderful drivers. Sometimes I can't watch the clip as it is playing, but, the sound of each train is just as intoxicating. Absolutely super.
Thank you very much for doing this! Steamers are much nicer than diesels in the UK countryside. :)
+Douglas Hodgson Hard to argue with that comment Douglas ! Thanks again.
gorgeous photography and even more beautiful steam locos!!
A wonderful showcase of the Excellent work you continuously produce Liam....and may you long continue to do so...a real treat to watch...Best wishes...Bob

One word Liam - WOW! What an absolutely brilliant video!
+RailAdvent Thanks very much for the kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Regards, Liam
This is gorgeous thankyou very much indeed. It even reminds me of mr cash's orange blossom special oh to live in England ❤
Total joy to watch. Many thanks for posting.
+JOHN WALTON Glad to hear John. All the best. Regards, Liam
Great choice of locations: looks like a 10% gradient 70013 was coming up at Stokesay (32:10)!
As one has come to expect, outstanding quality.
At 8:30 or thereabouts (Lindal Bank), while the other gunzel may have been some distance away, wouldn't it be preferable to edit him out by cropping or however one 'improves' these otherwise marvellous UA-cam productions? Perhaps it wasn't possible for you to be next to him as you may have thought it'd compromise the shots, plus there may have been a fence in the way.
I don't know how you find the time to 'be everywhere' but your worldwide audience appreciates the classy results.
Superb indeed. Love the shot if the rebuilt and unrebuilt Bulleids
+FinlayLavery303 Cheers Finlay, glad you like the Bullied shots.
Oh to be in England now that summers here !!!
Liam .. firstly it must cost you a fortune travelling around doing these videos, thank you for that. But I have to say having been a steam buff all my life, and still am ... your vids are excellent quality and superbly put together. Some of the atmospheric shots and associated weather conditions are maybe fortuetous on the day, but you capture the scenes perfectly with excellent light and tone. I particularly like some of the trackside shots and uphill shots especially. I thought the loco at 8.40 had thrown a crank at first climbing under load as it was, but clearly the driver must have nudged the regulator and the smoke box and chimney responded. I streamed the film to my sixty inch HD television and even my wife said how impressive the video is. Very well done and I look forward to your next material. Keep up the good work ... very well worth watching. Thank you.
Roger, thanks for the great feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Not sure exactly what happened at 8.40, but the engine did have a slip just before with the contents of the fire going out the chimney. Kindest regards, Liam
England's pleasant pastures green
Brilliant
WOuld you do GWR 5972 the Magic Kingdom Express Please.
Nice video
The Mid - Norfolk Railway is much longer than the Poppy Line.
32:34 Gordon stuck on his hill with his express be like "i think i can i think i can without Edward's help".
an ivatt with a high pitch whistle WHAT IS GOING ON AHHHHHH haha jk great video loved it
+Scottish Steam Productions Cheers mate. I think the Ivatt class could carry any whistle tbf.
+Marsh Steam Videos™ true but low tone is so good
What do you suppose happened @ 8:13 when the loco seemed to 'shift into neutral' when it went quiet and let out a cloud of black smoke before it resumed normal chuffing?
The locomotive slipped on the gradient.
Island of Sodor Song.
4:48 what stack is this?

Hi, I make bengali audio drama videos. Recently I have been making an audio-drama that is set in the 1900s' Indian rural areas and I need some video footage to portray that as authentically as possible. This video clip seems to be perfect for that reason. If you could give me permission to use part of your clip for my project, I would be highly grateful. I will of course give your channel the proper credit in my video. Please let me know your decision as soon as possible. Thank You 🙏

I hate it when hey put diesel locomotives on a train pulled by a steam locomotive, because the diesel usually ends up being dead weight once they reach 70+ mph. That’s not very cost effective.
They are a dead weight at all speeds. They are not there to provide motive power but to assist with things like carriage heating, reversing out of terminus platforms (now that most terminuses have had their loco runaround tracks removed) and as an insurance backup,
