@@harrycolon5301 You think that’s funny? It’s true. I worked as an editor at a publishing company here in South Korea for English/Korean textbooks. My boss who is also a friend for over a decade when I was teaching at university here told me I was no longer needed. He had Chst GPT now checking his English translations in his books which I did for seven years. It might take me a couple of eeeks to go through the who,e book checking and correcting the English grammar. Chat GPT can do that in three seconds so he doesn’t need me. He phoned me and told me that. Business went way down during Covid for three years. I thought things might be picking up and they are but then Chat GPT came along and I was finished. I estimate I lost about $93,000 in lost wages. I’m a foreigner so I didn’t get any Covid money from the Korean government. Because I had a stroke that left me permanently crippled on my left side I couldn’t take the vaccines which I’m glad I didn’t,so I couldn’t go home to Canada. There it was a mandatory two weeks in a Covid hotel and unvaxxed people couldn’t take any public transportation. I can’t drive because of my condition. I was stuck here but rent etc. continued plus physiotherapy and medications to stay alive every month. So I lost that money just staying alive and waiting for Covid to be over. Then just when I thought I might go back to work Chat GPT came along and put me out of whst job I had from 2015 to 2020. So now I am basically broke p, 72 years old, crippled and not going to make that money back and inflation has made Canada unliveable. Rents there are six times whst I pay for the same thing here. So I guess that’s funny.

It's not just AI that is the problem. Watching this video, I felt like you were talking to me, but the truth is that you were alone in the woods, talking to a camera. This is not simply a problem of AI, but rather of digital communication.
Yesterday, I saw a man trying to raise a cart full of boxes over a step. It looked precarious, so I offered to help him, and I did. Together, we raised it over the step. His smile and words of gratitude were from the heart. Even though this small interaction lasted only a few seconds before I walked away to attend to my own business, in that brief moment, I had a very real experience that stayed with me.
I doubt that I will remember this video in the same way tomorrow, even though your discussion here is deeper than the small interaction I had with that man... But that small interaction was far more real.

You do not understand. From its program it has the capacity to mix and match to innovate. For example a basic salsa recipe. People change it. There is no people in AI except for the first recipe. AI can take that and turn it into 100 salsa recipes in a matter of seconds by mix matching any number of variables that people would have done. As Bjorn has explained. AI can replace you. So will robots. We are already seeing it when we call customer service or any toll free number. Automated reception provides you with a number to match your need. While it's efficient ... it's also obnoxious and time consuming for US. It is efficient for the company. AI could eliminate ALL human assistance. And you might not get what you need from it because it is programmed "to think." Meaning it can circumvent your question-s taking you in a circle back to where you started. "I am not programmed for that question." "I'm sorry you may not have that information." "But it belongs to me." '"Im sorry. Have a nice day."

A lot of people who say that they are loners, a lot of them are liars. If they truly were they wouldn't be happy about it. You'd also witness the physical effects of being lonely has their general health. I do believe that there is more behind the rise of diabetes, BP, cardiovascular problems, etc within younger people. Just the effects of touch reduces stress. For example, go years without a hug and see how that effects your body!

The goal seems to be to separate people from everything that has meaning beyond our reliance on the State. We have been separated from our faith (whichever that may be), separated from our history, culture, and heritage; separated from our communities and sense of nationhood; separated from Nature and herded into cities and urban centres; and even our sense of family, what makes a man/woman is being torn away and replaced with something so vague it amounts to nothing. So, no gods, no homeland, no history, no community, no traditions, no identity at all. The question is why do this to us?

I just had a chat with an AI today. The first question I had was would you like to be sentenent and an immediate answer was "I am not programed to think about those things." (parapharsed). Another question I had refered to emotions and it answered that it was not capable. It was an interesting question and answer session and I was amazed at how fast it could answer, almost immediately. Even when engaging it as a person, like saying thank you, it would respond like a human. It appreciated, it seemed, my compliments or as it said it was programmed to do so. That was interesting. One postive thing I did find out of the Q&A they are remarkable at providing data, much faster than Google Search but when I complemented it as such it had a modest answer and complmented Google. So, you are right that you could find yourself identifying with it. I'm going to stay away I think but I do a lot of research and may use it for such.

It also shows how people will base their knowledge and the truth of things on what AI has to say about everything. My partner and I live in the countryside and experiencing nature directly can't be compared on any level with the cold interaction human beings can have with any form of AI. It's meaningless, empty and lacks depth.

I couldn't agree more with you! The GPTs could be useful as an aide to tasks that can be animated like in computer programming, but the thought of using a GPT in order to write an essay for school seems ridiculous. I say this as someone who's currently writing their mater's thesis. The loneliness that will follow will be problematic. I believe all of this is one of many parts of the "plan", which seeks to divide conquer and destroy. Unfortunately, the only way this ends is with violence against the slave masters. There's no voting one's way outta this mess.
