Terminus with no white mana on board is just perfect 😂 I supposed he could have a Manamorphose in hand, but that's exactly it - he makes us go in loops trying to justify his board states!
The cards being wrong are massive trolls and possibly more importantly it gets us in the comments to please the algorithm gods
Like how it keeps going back in time yet preserves the board state on one side...

Due to people having to drop out of my local game stores tournament because of college exams I once failed my way into the top 4 and got a prize.
LMAO I had a similar experience where I had no opponent for the pre-release draft and my LGS was like you won all your matches here is some boosters :P

I know that feeling. Once I managed to stumble and 10 turn limit my way into 3 0 in draft and ended up against the best player of the store with 4 in color bomb rares.
On the plus side, since the outcome was never in question, I could relax and enjoy the game.
This is amazing. I love that BOTH Remy's think their opponent is lucky, yet can't see when they get lucky. Which is pretty much all Magic players. Haha.
So true. I have a rivalry with a friend in my EDH playgroup that pretty much works like that (i freely admit to it as well)

I wanna know why you would side out a terminus when your opponent is playing a creature heavy deck.
This gives me childhood PTSD...and not from losing at Magic, but from having a teenage sister who played this album on repeat for months straight

I love how if you look closely, the first guy topdecks a Lightning Helix before it zooms in and shows Terminus. Its just a subtle reference to the ultimate Lightning Helix topdeck by Craig Jones and I love that Remy decided to add that homage!

Don't forget the epic match between the guy who can't draw his second land and the guy who can't draw his second spell.
The trick is they're playing a new format called Celestial Dawn Modern, it's just like modern except all lands also tap for White.
That might make white playable.

Never having breaks is also really hard on the concentration. I get that they don't want the tournament to take forever, but I still think the breaks between rounds should be a lot longer.
@@davydbubbles7613 Eh, not sure that's possible, in most non-standard formats, rounds go to time, and an extra 10 minutes (and more when deckchecls happen which gives time extensions). Add another 5-10 minutes for putting up match-up and people finding their seats you're looking at 1h00-1h10 per round
That's 6-7 hours for Swiss rounds of a 6 round event, add another 2-4 hours for top 8 (since rounds are not timed they tend to run a little longer) that's 8 to 11 hours for am event. If it starts at 10am (which is early for most non-GP events in my experience) you're ending between 6pm and 9pm... I both run and judge events and I wish there was something that could be done to help those who play slower decks, but its not feasible...
@@DomBarGames Yeah, many events are already too long as is, so it's difficult. I think 1 or 2 longer pauses troughout the day would already help a lot though. (Maybe they already do that at GPs, I haven't been to events bigger than 200-300 players.)
Also, are Top8 rounds really longer than Swiss?? Potentially yes, of course, but on average? It seems to me that the immensly lower number of players would mean that they often don't go to time? But maybe I'm wrong and everybody plays slower when they don't have to hurry...

There could be a ton of variations on the verses about Pendelhaven, Blossoming Defense, Spellskite...
I believe Remy uses antiglare sleeves, this because when the "tears" fell on the cards they buched up in a lot of little spherical drops. To achieve antiglare a micro or nanometric roughness is applied to the sleeve, which also give it a super-hydrophobic quality, causing the liquids to form almost perfect spherical drops on it.
Also there is no glare on the cards during the video.
