I just did this for a single pair of earrings in a tiny bowl. I wondered if I can you reuse the aluminium lined bowl by tipping out the liquid and doing it again?
Be careful because it brought the patina right off my ring, it used to have a dark grey background and now it's almost gold looking. So, beware! I don't know if it's because I left it in too long, I only left it on for around a minute or two.
Worst experience everrrrr I almost cried when everything started turning yellow. I had double the work because I had to buff every piece . I don’t recommend.😢😢
You probably don’t have real silver . That happened to me with silver jewelry I thought was real. I just tried it on my Tiffany bracelet and ring. The results are like new.
just tried this on my tiffany necklace and the tarnishing came off instantly thank you!!
It absolutely works. I’ve done it a few times.
Just tried this method on my curb link necklace, it did indeed help remove a lot of the tarnish 👍🏻
Works really well!! Thank you !!!
Wow!! It works. Many Many thanks. All my silvers are sparkling 🙂
I did it without the aluminum foil and it still works
Yes it works! Thank you 😊
Amazing! Thank you so much 😀

it works! thank you
Dobby know if you still respond after all these years, but could you have put that bracelet with the turquoise stone in that solution?
If a stone is in the piece?
What if it isn't sterling?
I wonder why we have to use aluminum paper? Would not be just OK on a glass plate with hot water and baking soda?
Electrolysis requires an anode and a cathode; the aluminium is the cathode or electron donor that reacts with and reduces the sulphur oxide tarnish.
Why are you using the aluminum paper
It's called a chemical transfer. Or Ion transfer. I also would add salt.

Patina is tarnish. That means it does it’s job.
