"They have a plane on stage?!" My dude, they have a TANK on stage
They own two tanks I think lmao
IIRC, in one of the sabaton history episodes Joakim mentioned how funny it is to see the reaction of the various countries customs when they tell them their bringing _a tank_ into their country.
Also, I’m fairly sure it’s an old centurion tank that was gifted to them by the Swedish army.
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a way to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Elian Anderson Instablaster :)
“This man’s a tank.”
Joakim is indeed a **METAL MACHINE**
Lmao
Well done.
You think Red Baron is high energy for Joakim's singing?
You gotta see him doing Ghost Division at Polish Woodstock. This level of singing but Joakim is running back and forth across a stage and there's like no break in rythm.
While trying to forge a sword with his fist on his knee.
BTW, Joakim played keyboards in Sabaton's early days, so it shouldn't be a surprise to see him do it here.
I absolutely love this BEAST of a track. Love the Deep Purple vibes, the energy, and the absolute power of the band.
Makes me think of Boston "Smokin'" as well
4/21/1918 the day of the Red Barons death. Shot down over the Western Front and buried by the Australians with full military honors. Nearby squadrons laid wreaths on his grave that read in part: "To Our Gallant and Worthy Foe"
Fun fact, The Red Baron's Squadron was called "The Flying Circus" which was was where Monty Pythons Flying Circus, got the last part of their name, more precise
The title Monty Python's Flying Circus was partly the result of the group's reputation at the BBC. Michael Mills, the BBC's Head of Comedy, wanted their name to include the word "circus" because the BBC referred to the six members wandering around the building as a circus,
The group added "flying" to make it sound less like an actual circus and more like something from World War I. The group was coming up with their name at a time when the 1966 Royal Guardsmen song Snoopy vs. the Red Baron had been at a peak. Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen, the World War I German flying ace known as The Red Baron, commanded the Jagdgeschwader 1 squadron of planes known as "The Flying Circus."
The words "Monty Python" were added because they claimed it sounded like a really bad theatrical agent, the sort of person who would have brought them together, with John Cleese suggesting "Python" as something slimy and slithery, and Eric Idle suggesting "Monty". They later explained that the name Monty means Lord Montgomery, the great general of the Second World War".
Fun fact no. 2 Initially, he was a keyboard player and wanted to sing only until the band finds a permanent vocalist.
He started playing the Hammond Organ at the age of 10 Joakim played a lot of church organs because they are so similar to the Hammond Organ. He's not a religious person, but likes their sound
I love how the best parts about this were:
1) Back D-Minor Fuge
2) Thunderstruck
3) The actual song we came here for :D
It's in G minor (at least the original).
Also swedish pagans troll
This is one of my fav Sabaton songs. My family for real came from Prussia
Been lucky enough to Sabaton a couple of times. Once on this tour with 20,000 fans at Wembley Arena. The first time at a 600 capacity venue on Brighton seafront. They've come a long way! No tanks or triplanes at that first show, but just as much passion and performance :)
I was at the Wembley show too
You should make two more Sabaton reaction videos. Both in Swedish but both got English subs. The first I recommend "En livstid I krig" live from Ullevi and "Livgardet"
Thanks, Charlie. One of my absolute favourites.
Sabaton actually got naked on their last consert with Dragonforce on their first tour outside Scandinavia with Dragonforce.
Or actually on Dragonforce concert - as a prank...
With nothing but socks on their eh metal machines
clip is from great tour february. Oslo Norway. i was there. as always, they did not dissappoint.
sorry to disappoint you, but its actually from Berlin, Germany ;DD you can hear them scream "Noch ein Bier!" aka. another beer! ....so welcome in Germany and at 5:30 Joakim also shouts "Berlin" :) was there
@@nolifeking5798 oh. My bad. Thanks for correcting me.
Loved to see your reaction to this.
Liked and subscribed. Stay safe!
The lead singer originally joined the band as a organist
Oh man, I was there and it was great...as always
You might get a lot recomandations but I would suggest Night witches and No bullets fly (both animated story version, but check as well Night witches great war live version since it has some jokes in it.); 82nd all the way; attack of dead men (and radio tapok version) and to hell and back.
Thanks for playing Sabaton!!
Charlie if you've liked this I recommend "Barón rojo" from the band with the same name, Barón Rojo. They're spaish metal and they also cover a bit of his story. One of my faves from them
You hit the nail perfectly about their music, is how i see it aswell. Have u reacted to the Royal guard song? is worth a look if u havent.
i dont know from when this was taken, but ~0:50 joakim is either telling the of the "Sabaton - Noch ein Bier" thing/stories that always happens in germany, (me myself been there (sabaton concert) done that (chant NOCH EIN BIER! at them))
source: am german.
prost.
Sabaton 🤘🤘🤘
Many thanks for these great words! That's exactly what I always try to explain people who think Sabaton glorifies war! They write great music about historical events and their performance is always awesome. Besides they are also really nice guys and it is always so much fun to visit their shows! By the way, here you can see Joakim playing piano and singing "The Hammer Has Fallen". It is from 2012 but still amazing.
ua-cam.com/video/_MOPaA8RD7o/v-deo.html
Actually the song The Hammer Has Fallen itself is from 2001 and was remastered on Metalizer album in 2007))
They just keep releasing good tracks!
Please do some more sabaton reactions
I recommend you the Sabaton History chanel on youtube and any song in The Great War album
(Plays Swedish Pagans) “Do you wanna hear that song?” YEAH!! “Well that’s too fu**ing bad cuz it’s time for THE RED BARON!”
Conclusion: Sabaton good. Sabaton really good
Nice 😁. I still miss your reaction to the best Metal singer next to Freddie - Ronnie James Dio. Try "Stargazer" from Rainbow. Will blow your mind. 😁😁😁
Six days ago and 0 dislikes!!
I bet if Joakim watches this, he’ll love hearing this guy call him a “tank”.
Joakim aint wrong :D Nordics get naked when we drink!
Noch ein Bier....
Not that it’s relevant to the video, but the drummer is married to Floor, FYI.
Music with capital M, indeed. Where other genres fail to try, Metal triumphs.
Frederick II loved the french language, but was more ambivalent on the french...
Metal crue with music in full force. I do not get the slack that this band gets from some of metal aficionados. Do not forget that Voltaire was pretty disappointed from the actions of the enlighted despot called Frederick II. Horns Up!!
@@guimich2478 |,,| |,,| It's the combination of perfect lyrics with fun music. As for Voltaire, the great frederick saw right through him.
@@luisnunes2010 Lingua Franca! Its the other way around for me!! Catherine II with Diderot took care of Frederick.
You made one little error, it wasn't fugue in D minor, it was fugue in G minor, just a few letters off in the alphabet, same composer tho
I gotta be “that guy.” Wroclaw is pronounced Vroots-wahf. A for effort tho.
Hi man! I hope you're going to react to more Epica :)
How about something from their debut album when Simone was just 19? She had such a wonderful voice a bit deeper operatic vocals. I mean, she still has a beautiful voice which I'm still in love with, but she has changed it a bit (might be due to the MRSA throat infection she had back in 2008, I don't know....)
Here's "Cry For the Moon" ua-cam.com/video/Dys1_TuUmI4/v-deo.html
Beautiful beautiful voice, just listen to it... I love Simone so much :)
I suppose that 'not ego driven' sets it apart as European. For me it is the exactly what irks me in American music. The antithesis to 'working together despite the differences, to make it better' which is prevalent in North American culture.
There’s an up and coming 22-yr old Filipino independent artist that’s making waves. Please react to Ez Mil, Panalo Live on the Wish bus, which has 56 million views in a couple months or his R&B track First & Last. Other big reactors are all over his music. Don’t sleep on this artist. Give him a shot. He might surprise you. Ez Mil fans will come out and interact with you on your channel too. Filipinos love to sing!
Thing is, Sabaton is great and all, but vocal coach reactions are really not necessary.
Joakim is fun, energetic and has great stamina, but he isn't an awefully talented or complex singer, thats just not the style they do.
He does have a pretty good range, and although his voice isn't particularly low, he does have a raspy bassness when singing that I really like, Idk how to explain it lol
