- This is an all-time classic..... I mean who else has a Tri Plane on stage with a propellor that turns when the keyboard is being played... who? NO ONE.

I guess you should do “Christmas truce “next since you mentioned the football match today it’s only right .it’s a epic video that does a great job of telling the story of the Christmas truce of WW1

Christmas Truce is becoming one of my all time favs, for sure.
@@TheThamesmen And please pay attention to the end credits. You'll be baffled!
I was very surprised by this song and it's REALLY growing on me.
Funny you should mention the Christmas truce, since Sabaton just released the song and music video with the same name. And it's awesome, of course.

Next Sabaton: “Christmas Truce” And make sure that you watch the end credits and you’ll hear a certain Floor Jansen singing 🔥 🤘
Will do :) Noted and thanks for being here. More soon!
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Sabaton/Nightwish fans: HEY, DID YOU KNOW THAT FLOOR JANSEN FROM NIGHTWISH IS MARRIED TO...
HA HA
If they're speaking English, they're not in Sweden. Night witched and no bullets fly (both animated story versions), are going to blow your minds.
This was filmed in Berlin (see beginning). Joakim also shouts "Berliiin!" One cool thing is that most of the published tracks from the Great Tour are chosen based on location. I think the live version of "Bismarck" is from Hamburg, "Winged Hussars" from Warsaw etc. They seldom play "The final solution" but when they do it tends to be gigs in Kraków, Prague etc. Hence that you saw the swedish "En livstid i krig" from Gothenburg (though it's a different question if many (or any) soldiers came from that area of modern Sweden).
Well we missed the big clue on where they were! Explains why for this one he spoke English. Was not us suddenly understand Swedish!
The band is Swedish, Joakim is part Swede part Czech. Glad you guys enjoyed the video. Want another Great Tour video - try out 'Attack of the Dead Men' from the London show. The oft mentioned 'Night Witches' and 'No Bullets Fly' animated videos are excellent but the band just dropped a video called 'Christmas Truce' it is really worth the watch!

I’m so happy you guys continue doing Sabaton reactions, they have a new song out “Christmas Truce” I think it should be up next also I’d suggest “Primo Victoria “ “No Bullets Fly” & “Night Witches “. heck just do a deep dive do one video a week you will not be disappointed. 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍

What??
Listen to the crowd singing. m.ua-cam.com/video/9FkYxnm70vg/v-deo.html
It was great to have a sing-along to this at Wembley when I saw them. Such a good live band. Like others have mentioned, they've just released 'Christmas Truce'- well worth checking out. Have a great day all
Be well
The videos of the great tour are filmed in different cities they film where the song has a bit more meaning, this was in Berlin.
Cool!!!
Funny you mention the Christmas football match... There is a Sabaton song coming out about that.
Yep.... Noted and thanks for being here. More soon!
@@TheThamesmen It is out, and I am looking forward to the reaction video! :-D

As others have noted, the just released Christmas Truce is truly epic, taking music video production to a new level, even for Sabaton. It's racked up over a million hits in just a few days. And please let the credits play out and don't turn down the wonderful outro music (you'll work out why!).
Too soon for xmas!!!
No bullets fly, animated story! Watch the entire film!!
OK. Noted and thanks for being here. More soon!
Their guitarist, Tommy Johansson arranged the Disney songs Floor sings on her channel.
Classic :)
in sweden they get taught english from a very young age, you'd struggle to find a swedish adult who doesn't speak fluent english
Dam they are smart!
@@TheThamesmen that's actually the case for most of Europe but watch out for the french, even though they can speak it they won't no matter how much you ask them to
Is it a coincident that you mention sabatons song "Christmas Truce" 3 days after they released the video.... with footballgame and all!????? Its a truly powerful song with a topclass musicvideo -
Its 8 minutes long . In the end of the song/musicvideo - Floor Jansen (from Nightwish) takes over with that voice that only she has!!! Super Powerful and brought a tear to my eye.
.....For More amazing Sabaton liveshows: .Have you yet checked out the live show and the song "Night Witches".....Where Joakim, the singer, go get a Bazooka and shoots down the drummer
with it....together with pyro which looks like missiles . Its amazing!
HA HA that sounds amazing. Noted and thanks for being here. More soon!
Great reaction! 🤘 I highly recommend "Christmas Truce" by Sabaton (official music video).
Since you got into the stage set, I'd suggest you check out "Night witches" (live from Leipzig, 2020)... Beware of the bazooka!! 😁
I'll check it out!
next sabaton is "NIGHT WITCHES LIVE & CHRISTMAS TRUCE"

the first live show you did was in gothenburg (sweden) this was in berlin (germany). but it was at least the same tour ;-)
getting there :) More soon BTW
It's not too soon for Christmas Truce. You will see why!
Hope to do it soon!
I really love your talking and reacting and i hope we will see even more Sabaton reactions from you two!
Greetings from Sweden.
More soon I hope!! Be well
When I saw the song title, I thought "Did they do a cover of The Royal Guardsmen's song Snoopy vs The Red Baron?" No. LOL
I do love me a good stage show! The previous videos showed stage presence, which is great and essential, but a good stage show rewards the fans. And the music was bloody good too! More please!
I agree that we go for a ‘show’ and so it needs to be more than an album recital. That said for me ( George) I love Spiritualized and in that Jason Spaceman barely moves or even speaks to the crowd. His fragility and intensity of the music in that case make the show and he does not need tanks
@@TheThamesmen I haven't been lucky enough to see Spiritualized in person, but I thought there was certainly some theatrical use of lighting, different music, different show. The first time I saw Bob Dylan, he came out and played, said thanks for coming at the start of the encore and that was the show. I still loved it. A band singing solely about war and battle doesn't need tanks or planes, but it does provide some cream.
Time for Christmas Truce video by Sabaton recently released and don't cut off the drummer's missus singing at the end. LOL.
Too early for Xmas :)
Floor - Wow
You didn't beat us 66 you had the referee on your side. :)
Well ok you can have the one title. We have 4 :)
Joakim is fluent in 3 languages and almost there with 2 more.
Field of Verdun another nice song
Ok - will check. Many thanks
That show was in Berlin and not Gothenburg! That is why they speak English.
Gun goes off in Night witches.
Ahhh..... Knowledge you see :) Thanks
Props must go to Christian Ripkins, the videographer who followed Sabaton on The Great Tour in 2019 and 2020, and he is the one who shot all the reverse angle videos you see from this Tour. He also shot some 6 or 7 vlogs on the same Tour, where you get a chance to follow Sabaton and see what they do when they are not on stage.
Only one camera - My guess is that the general idea during the Tour was that they were not doing it for the crowds at the arenas and not for videos from the Concerts, so using just one camera is enough. The reverse "The-Bands-View-From-The-Stage" perspective is quite unusual, I can't remember that I've seen any other band doing that. It gives great videos none the less, and it's just one take from the start of the song to the end of it.
I can't find any older Live videos on your channel page? Oh boy, wait until you have a look at that, "Ghost Division" from Polish Woodstock (Pol-n-Rock nowadays) in front of a crowd of 650.000+, or "Swedish Pagans" Live at Wacken in 2019, featuring Tina Guo on her Cello and Sabaton with current and former band members on 2 stages at the same time. / B.
It is a really interesting perspective and absolutely something original for them. I do like the fact that it feels like you’re a member of the band on the stage and what you are seeing is what they would see
if you like their live performances you should check out 'Uprising' or 'Ghost Division' live from Woodstock Poland. Definitely the best, a crowd of over 500 000 ;)
Many thanks - I will check these out and more Aurora soon. Be well
imagine, they sing "the legend will never die"... now, a century later, we still know his name! Brits, Yanks, Germans... im not aware of other examples, when a killed officer, a soldier from the oposite side, the enemy, received a burial with full military honours, by the enemy...
Be well and more soon. Thanks for being here.
you need to do swedish pegans
it's the song he played on the organ
Oh wondered what that was and why everyone knew it!
@@TheThamesmen I'll will be especially looking forward to that video
Swedish Pagans was like a ‘throwaway’ bonus track they put on an album as an afterthought several years back and it became one of their biggest fan-favorite hits. It’s a big running joke that Joakim hates the song/hates playing it. Only he knows how much truth there is in that, but that’s what that whole ‘you wanna hear that song? Well too bad!’ schtick was about. Swedish Pagans is an awesome AWESOME sing-along, though.
well, do you guys remember the 80s? i do...hardly. There was a great song by Stan Ridgeway on the Vietnam war. He does it, cause he lost his Father if i remember right. Sabaton did a cover of that forgotten gem of 80s New Wave. Camouflage! May you want to have an eye on this one. Its an old song by them, so there is no official video....
Be well and more soon. Thanks for being here.
I enjoyed the reference to '66. At a Thanksgiving dinner last week I got a trivia question about the first World Cup you guys won.
You don’t wish to know what the soccer fans chant.
This was in Berlin... Tho if they would have done that in Sweden all would have understand what he said anyhow.. We learn English from like 3rd grade in school over here.. And we hardly dub any movies exept child movies.
Berlin in Sweden in or Sweden in berlin?
As you promised! Brilliant mates, cheers! Leaving a like and a subscribe
Much appreciated!
May I suggest Swedish Pagans - Live at Wacken Open Air 2019 next ?
You may!
For a banger lightshow including the tank, watch the official video Great war!
:) Will do!
Like everyone else, "Christmas Truce" should be next as you mentioned the event.
Cool thanks Peter

No worries - we loved it
You guys should do night witches & the Final solution. Studio videos.

Ypres is now known by the locals as Leper, which is its Flemmish name.
During the great war the British called it Wipers and even produced a newspaper called Wipers Times.

Many thanks and hope all is well!
Fun fact, The Red Baron's Squadron was called "The Flying Circus" which was was where Monty Pythons Flying Circus, got the last part of their name, more precise
The title Monty Python's Flying Circus was partly the result of the group's reputation at the BBC. Michael Mills, the BBC's Head of Comedy, wanted their name to include the word "circus" because the BBC referred to the six members wandering around the building as a circus,
The group added "flying" to make it sound less like an actual circus and more like something from World War I. The group was coming up with their name at a time when the 1966 Royal Guardsmen song Snoopy vs. the Red Baron had been at a peak. Freiherr Manfred von Richthofen, the World War I German flying ace known as The Red Baron, commanded the Jagdgeschwader 1 squadron of planes known as "The Flying Circus."
The words "Monty Python" were added because they claimed it sounded like a really bad theatrical agent, the sort of person who would have brought them together, with John Cleese suggesting "Python" as something slimy and slithery, and Eric Idle suggesting "Monty". They later explained that the name Monty means Lord Montgomery, the great general of the Second World War".
Ps. Its not from Guthenborg Sweden, its from Berlin, Germany. at 4:52 you can see it. Its from the same tour, which explain the same point of view.
No way!! Brilliant
I was able to see them live a couple of years ago in Chicago at the Vic Theatre, which only has a capacity of 1,000. It was amazing; if you do ever get a chance to see them at a small venue I highly, highly recommend it.
Lucky u!
Only Swedish you need to know is "Hej Hej". Got me a long way.
Much Love 💙💛💙
Ikea taught me that
So why does a swedish band speaks swedish when perforning in sweden? Maybee couse the audiens are swedes as well, but in this video, they speaks english, it might have something to do with the fact that the video is shot somewhere else and the audience dont understand swedish, maybee....
And yes, everyone speaks english in sweden, we start learning english in school at 8 or 9 years old. on top of that we got the anglo-american culture impeialism that we are hooked on since WW2, no more german anymore. All the music, tv, film everything is in english and there are no dubbing, just subs so no chans to not learning english.
In the UK we got hooked on 1980 American TV. Dallas, Dukes of Hazzard, Baywatch.... every kid waned to move to CA
More Sabaton! yess! :D
Be well

Nice reaction, although I would have put the Baron a little bit later in your queue - it's a good song but compared to about a dozen others, it's not in the band's all-time top 5.
Of course you need to do Christmas Truce, as everybody said ... sure, it's not Christmas yet but apart from this being their most "filmic" video yet it's also not really tied to the season per se. So don't write that one off (you can see by the reactions in the comments that everybody is waiting for this one). Plus, you already discussed the event here so that means, you know about it - that is great because it gives you a lot of background already that many of the earlier reactors didn't have at that point.
As for the other suggestions - you should definitely listen to your commenters and do "Night Witches" and "Swedish Pagans". The latter one is more of a fan sing-a-long and the band doesn't really like to play it but they are stuck with it so they make the best of it - meaning, you should watch the Wacken version (2019, I think) feat. Tina Guo to find out what it means to take the audience by storm. ;-)
"Night Witches" is a different beast - a lot of reactors do both animated and live version (in this order) in one session because at first you get to appreciate the whole story behind the Witches (it's a tear jerker) and then you can focus on the stage experience (featuring a bazooka, so not to miss). If you can only do one, do the animated because it'd be sad to see you watch the live performance without knowing about the song. Both are great, though.
Oh, and once you finally got to Christmas Truce and need more of those heroic chorals - Defence of Moscow, one of the most epic newer Sabaton songs.
If you made it through above list, you should be covered for your Christmas break. Cheers from Germany! ;-)
Too early for Xmas.......
