I'm not religious but Hallelujah 🙏!! This album is a masterpiece and this song in particular is one of my absolute favorites. I tried to casually find tab for it last week and only found 1 that wasn't quite helpful 😅 Im so glad I tried looking again and came across this video!
You explain how to play it perfectly for my AuDHD brain to grasp. I am fairly new to playing but love to challenge myself learning my favorite songs apart from the basic lessons.
Unfortunately or fortunately 😅 I like quite a bit of the "obscure" music so finding videos and tab can be hard at times. So stoked to come across your page and will definitely be checking out more videos from you. TY 👏🙏

RSH has long been one of my favorites. Saw him live with both the Bad Seeds and Crime and the City Solution. I highly recommend his album with Nikki Sudden "Kiss You Kidnapped Charabanc"

Thanks so much for this !!
I'm playing it with the RSH-2 pedal which combines the blue box and distortion pedal circuits. A very hot pedal that is sure to disturb the neighbors and cause my cats to tilt their ears this way and that.

More Rowland! I know he doesn’t get the biggest ratings, but anything to make his sound more well known. Criminally underrated as guitarist, singer and songwriter ❤

This tutorial should have so many more views.... Such a shame, most guitarists have no clue, as to who Howard was.......

Thanks for shedding light on such an incredible and under appreciated guitarist. Another thing I love about this video is that you are using the REUSS EFFECTS ‘signature Roland S Howard pedal. Reuss builds AMAZING pedals !!!! - PureSalem Guitars- Rick Sell

Man. Here I am...a huge fan of the Birthday Party, the Cramps, Joy Division, etc...and looking for some way to broaden my guitar skills, and then I stumble upon the coolest kid on the Internet. Please keep it up, man. And may I put in a request? How about a Jennifer’s Veil tutorial? I’d be really curious to hear not only how it’s played, but also your take on getting Rowland’s tone during his tenure in the BP. Either way-thanks so much for these tutorials, man. They are hugely appreciated. Your playing is stellar as well. :)

I was somewhat familiar with Birthday Party, more familiar with Crime & The City Solution, and much more familiar with The Bad Seeds, but must confess that I didn't know Howard's name until I finally got around to clicking on this lesson on your site. What a great, great song. I was very sorry to see that the album that it's from is OOP. As usual, thank you for a great lesson, and a big thank you for filling in an egregious gap in my musical knowledge. (I just signed on as a Patreon supporter; I really love your lessons.)
