    Thank you for that. The settings were quite valuable. And I appreciated you showing me where you found the novusun.dll.
    I also knew that when one hit the tab button in Mach 3 it brought out that controller, but I didn't notice until your video the jog rate function. That answered my question about how to slowly jog to zero in the work corner.

    hey, thanks for your tutorials that helped me a lot! unfortunately i can't get the 3 limit switches to work and stop the motors. In the mach 3 diagnostics view m1, m2 and m3 are active while pushing the switches. is that enough or did I miss a setting?

    Good morning,
    I have purchased and am awaiting delivery of the Qeenbee Pro cnc with UC300 controller with usb port and managed by mach
    The question is:
    in the Motor Outputs configuration -imput signals -output signals, I can't understand the configuration logic.
    For example in the Motor Ouputs tab,
    -X Axis - Step Pin # 2 - DirPin # 6 - Step Port 1 - Dir Port 1, which terminals on the UC300 controller do they correspond to?
    If so, what is the logic to adopt to understand the correspondences?
    Thank you

    DJ,
    Why do you not have your A axis soft max and soft min not the same as the Y axis?
    I'm also assuming these numbers are in MMs. What is your reasoning in making them these specific numbers? Thank you!

    Does this Workbee CNC work only with the software MACH3? Is it possible to work with software like Grbl Control?

    • @702marine
      @702marine  3 роки тому +2

      They have both. You can order all sizes with either grbl or Mach3. The grbl is the easiest to get started with. However, once you learn and use Mach3 you won’t use anything else. It offers a lot more control and versatility. You have your diehards for both controls but having experienced both platforms I wouldn’t use anything else in the future but a Mach program.

    I bought this same setup 1500x1500 with the high torque motors from Bulkman and cannot seem to get it to run smoothly with Mach 3. The documentation says the pulses need to be 100 with a velocity of 4000 mm/sec on the X, 3500 mm/sec on the Y/A, and 5000 mm/sec on the Z but none seem to work. When I reduce the pulses to 47 for all 3 and reduce the velocity it seems to run smoother but much slower that advertised. My dip switches for all driver are on,off,off,off,on,off. I am not happy with their support and lack of information on what they sell. When I run Drufel with default values all axes run smooth at 500 mm/sec so I know my problem isn’t mechanical. Also I can’t seem to get the Y/A axes to move synchronized. It seems that when starting one axes shift and stalls when using Mach 3. Have you experience any of these problems?

    • @702marine
      @702marine  3 роки тому +1

      Set your native units to (mm) then start with your steps at 50, velocity at 2500, acceleration at 1500. Again make sure you have your native units set to (MM). You will need to adjust these settings because every single machine will be different but this should get you going.

      @@702marine what are your settings for your machine? I believe we have the same setup. MM was the first thing I set and then did a calibration. It seems that the lead screw Bulkman sells is a 4 mm pitch instead of an 8mm or the settings on the TB6600 are set wrong. Also do you have an email address where I can send you some pictures and videos?

    Hi so Mach3 keeps freezing just a few lines into the gcode whenever I run any gcode. even when I try to run the stock Roadrunner gcode it does this so I know it’s not my gcode. I’m running this on a newly built DIY cnc router with a 2.2kw water cooled spindle and 2.4nm “high torque” NEMA 23 steppers with a STB5100 controller with a usb connection to my 2015 MacBook Pro running windows 10. I have done hours of trouble shooting and online forum reading, I even made a UA-cam video to get help from people online. At first it looked like none of my shielded cables were grounded and that it was em noise interference causing the issue. But I went and checked and made sure that no point on the frame or anywhere in the wires has less than a 5 ohm resistance to the ground prongs on the main power supply plugs going into the wall.
    I’m very confused at this point as I haven’t been able to find anyone having this same issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the program like 5 times at this point. I’m not having license issues as my name clearly shows up at the top of the screen. All the axis jog fine and the spindle works fine and can be controlled by mach 3 computer.
    I tried to attach a video of what’s happening when I try to run the stock Roadrunner gcode file but it says the file is too large. But this is the link to the UA-cam video I posted with these issues so you can see. ua-cam.com/video/4YtSb6i7aBw/v-deo.html
    Can you please help me figure this out? I’m at my wits end at this point as I’ve spent so many hours futzing around and trouble shooting this.
    I have these electronics from bulkman 3D that I have: Mach 3 5axis stb5100 usb motion card and TV6600-t4 4 axis stepper motor driver board. This is the bulkman link to what I purchased. bulkman3d.com/product/mach3-usb-5-axis-stb5100-motion-controller-bundle/
    What can I do to remedy this?
    Thank you!

    • @702marine
      @702marine  3 роки тому +1

      It sounds and looks to me like your acceleration and velocity settings are WAY too low. When you are Jogging that is 100%. When you are actually in a cut the machine almost never is running at 100%. What are your Dip switches set too and also what are your acceleration and velocity settings? Also are you running in inch or mm units?

    This Bulkman CNC machine I bought is not worth the money. Their support sucks and instructions for tuning do not align. I noticed in your video you did not share your parameters. I understand every machine is different but there should be some similar ranges on parameters. I should of bought a Ooznest instead.

    • @702marine

      I'm sorry you haven't had the same good experience. Things can get very frustrating with a DIY kit of this level. The learning curve is vast and you will have the same frustrations no matter what direction you go. They might not be the same issues but you will still experience some. You have to get through the first couple of road blocks and you will keep doing better and better. I have worked really hard to put a lot of details in my videos about this machine and I'm sure I have covered a great deal to make things at least somewhat easier for people. If you have something that you are really stuck with that I haven't covered just let me know and lets see if we can figure it out.

    • @ByrdAK47

      @@702marine it’s not that I don’t know how to operate the CNC. Mechanically and electrically I have it sound (now). As for the specs from Bulkman they do not align. I have had to put my past experience and knowledge in getting it running smoothly disregarding their instructions. They have been wrong about a lot of items. Examples are lead screw pitch, pulses per revolution, speeds, and other items. One thing I’d like to see is you running at speed. If you could make a quick video of cutting some material that would be great. We can compare if you like

    • @702marine
      @702marine  3 роки тому +1

      I can work on a video with that...
      I would say my average middle of the line feed rate is 2000. Longer straighter things like a facing move can be 3000 to 3600. Smaller more compact designs can be 1000 to 1500. I almost always adjust during the cut after I see how it started and how well it is coming out or not. There are definitely designs that do much better at high speeds and some that need it to be slow...
