If you run into a problem with your guide hand after moving it , like it’s staying on the ball to long or a thumb flick , holding a coin between your thumb & index finger should fix it , happy hoopin
@@tyharris78 are you serious about holding a coin between thumb and index finger on thr off-hand while shooting? I'll give it a try so, but seems unusual.
@@jakkritphanomchit yeah it creates good muscle memory , my guide hand stayed on the ball too long i was basically blocking my own shot , the coin made it impossible to hold the ball
If your guiding hand is almost on top of the ball when you release it, it can impact the shooting in a negative way, so it's better keep it more on the side of the ball instead of what is shown in this vid.
The ball should always come off your middle finger last. It’s the center of your hand. If you shoot it off your index you will shoot far right/left depending on what hand you are late in the game when the shot counts and your legs are tired.
As a very short player with small hands, my hands were positioned away from each other but my guide hand doesn't interfere the shot. This alone gives me a lot of consistency. I mostly missed short/long. Lower body power consistency is hard for me specifically when fatigue is coming to become a factor. Can you make a video on how to have a consistent and stable lower body? Thanks
It seems like my first, middle, and ring finger are all the same length. It’s hard to just roll off the first 2 fingers without using the ring finger as well
I've had a problem with my jump shot since I started playing basketball and I still cant fix it! I use my right hand to shoot a basketball but it lthe ball always aims to the right when its suppose to be straight. How do I fix this?
Im 15 and 5’6. I know this sounds weird for my height but i love doing fade away and post moves. Im actually kinda good at it. I have a two motion form and it feels the most comfortable to me. The problem is that I’m really short, skinny and not strong so I can’t shoot threes. The two motion form definitely is not the BEST way to go for a short guy like me, but i really want to keep it. It just feels so good to me the way I have it. Is there anyway I can work on my range while also keeping my two motion form?
Ya I’m going to try this because even though I’m a really good shooter I be shooting like Johkim Noah when it comes to the hands the rest is fundamentals.
How do i generate enough power to shoot only with my main hand? I always shoot with both my hands by habit because i cant get it far without both of them
I need help bro, when i kind of injured my right hand i switched to shooting with my left hand when im a rightie. I tried switching to right hand again and i just couldn't
I used to think I had perfect form until I filmed it and realized my elbow flares out wayyyyyy too much my shots not broke it’s pretty good but it’s so ugly looking how do I fix that
It depends on your hand size how many fingers that guide the ball to the basket... Hand placement on the ball changes as the pupil grows to adulthood!!! Every new season and growth spurt you need to evaluate your placement, guidance and strength of your body!!! Example: a third grader and later a eighth grader then a senior in high school should be different....The one fact stays the same is the the back spin on the ball!!!!
I like how he acknowledged other strategies not just the one he uses
Aye bruh i really wanna thank you, this increases not just my shot percentage but my range
The layups drills helped much
Bro I cannot stop making fade-aways and 3pt what did you do to me 😂👍🏾
no replys? lemme fix that
Suffering from success
Made u from a brick city to a bucket also helped me
Same
Wish this was me☹️
Great simple advice
Can you do a full video on common mistakes on shooting hand & guide hand positioning and how to fix?

@@jakkritphanomchit what’s your question ?

you can also try shooting with 1 hand so that you get the feeling of shooting with that hand and need no support from the thumb flick
Dang bro you don’t know how much this improved my shooting thank you!!!
Omg thank you
BRO OMG TY IT WORKED
Thank you for this god bless

bro its help me alot
Oh my shooting skills improved when I tried this one me and my team win last night thank you...
mistake: index pushes the ball to the right
actually it pushes left for me

YES bro fax. That lower body fatigue in-game is annoying
How tall are you?
Wtf?!? This works so good thank you
thank you
Thank you i got injured and my jumpshot became improper and bad form this helps
It seems like my first, middle, and ring finger are all the same length. It’s hard to just roll off the first 2 fingers without using the ring finger as well
Man thanks I was using middle and I wondered why my hand always went to the side and I bricked
Guide hand behind the basketball a bit is 100%
Ngl every time when I’m at school 1v1ing a dude in basketball my shots keeps on going off rim and I lose which is very annoying
I’m stuck in a bad situation, I recently sprained my wrist really badly and I miss almost every shot 💀

I usually make 8 out of 10 from the free throw when I practice is that good?
My issue has been-my guide hand ends up in front of the ball during my release…I don’t know how to fix it
In that case the other player is not comfortable in that hundle to throw the ball....
Shoot whene you are comfortable to throw.
I’m new to basketball. Is jumpshot the same as normal shooting from any range? Besides layups obv
Thanks
I cant shoot 3s with just one hand though and people say use your legs but then it just goes straight in the air
I can't stop making them
Bro made me make 8/10 shots💀
Agr hand se phisl jaye TU ball kaise net ky andr pohenchy gi
But some people like me, our middle finger is little bit curved towards the left side so how can we arrange our fingers to shoot correctly.

If im off i usually take a wider split with my thumb I feel i get more range and more control
Thanks please post tutorial how to aim for side ring.. I’m good with others but side spot always hitting board edge or ring tip end 😢
When I shoot, the hand I flick with I flick my thumb to the point where it hits my fingers after realizing, shoudl i fix it?

This helped….thanks
How can i use my left hand as my shooting hand
How do i get more power in my shot? I air balled about 20 3 pointers today.
Bro is weak
@@undeniablekam622 lol. It was my technique. I make almost every shot now
Basketball is king
how do you shoot with the left hand?
Btw when shooting do you push the ball forward or upward?
Naw don't push, extreme example is shot put, not like that. Imagine a spring loaded pole vault instead.
What if we have small hands?
Wouldn’t having your index finger in the middle of the ball make it flick right
I need help bro, when i kind of injured my right hand i switched to shooting with my left hand when im a rightie. I tried switching to right hand again and i just couldn't
My shooting im prove i always do this and now when we're playing shoot around i always win
I used to think I had perfect form until I filmed it and realized my elbow flares out wayyyyyy too much my shots not broke it’s pretty good but it’s so ugly looking how do I fix that
Nah those 2 fingers are Fr no joke they give you more range
Is it normal to be inconsistent after trying this?
Yes because it's a new style to you. You have to keep practicing and improvement will come.
Em quantos time ce jogo amigão??
Nice
Whatever your dominant hand is, the shooting hand is doing all the work, off hand just steadies the ball.
But what if u cant shoot with index
I figured this by seeing Damian lillard long range shot
I have big hands and I’m going to try this

Love a shooting tutorial with no shooting
I release of my fingertips
This isn't working for me I keep generating sidespin
why curry left hand is flicking his thumb when shooting?
I am going to try this tommaro
go to gym and strengthen your feet and arms. More strength control less effort to shoot the ball and more accurate the shot is.
I had both hands so close I fixed it and instantly better
thanku i can actually shoot now.
yeah, this is likely good for younger elem/mid-school kids whose hands are still fairly small
Nice tip hoppers
Why be a king, if you can be a god
My trainer says me. Put your guide hand on side of the ball !
That is what I'd tell you too!
It works trust
hold like that for jump shot shoot a ball
For a moment I thought u were dhar mann
I keep getting blocked on jump shot and idk why
PRAY THAT THIS PERSON AND THESE PEOPLE WITH THESE SHIRTS AND MAKING THESE SHIRTS.
Yeah, I do it and I shoot 6 consecutive in free throw.
How tf does this work so well. Went from shooting 3/10 to 8/10
I have problem with my thumb
So am I basically shooting with one hand?
Yes pretty much right that
It’s helpful
