Venza is Toyota's best kept secret - it's a Lexus, with a Toyota price. The build is fantastic and it is a very solid car and can perform. I have been loving mine!
We have a 2010 Toyota Venza, purchased in 2012 with 15k miles; it now has 159k miles and runs like a top!! The 6 cylinder is the best, very fast, getting 21 mpg in the city, comfortable and very roomy. We are seniors, the best car we've ever owned!
dewdew, I just bought a 2015 Venza LE, 2.7 i4, FWD, 100K miles. A comparably equipped RAV-4 of the same year, trim level, and mileage was going for $5000 more (around here anyway: Indy) 🤷🏻♂️
@@billbrimmer7047 that’s good to know! I bought mine as a retirement vehicle, and I can do the work on it myself…at least try to keep it out of the shop. I’m thinking if I drive it conservatively and keep up with the maintenance, who knows how long it’ll last?
The Venza really is the hidden gem of Toyota's range. Lexus build quality, smooth & quiet ride, conventional instruments and controls, fantastic mileage, practical without being too big. Get the base LE trim, for the best value.
my wife has 2021 LE in blue. It comes with plenty of standard features such as power liftgate and kick sensor. Those 2 alone are options on my Lexus ES!
I have an 07 Camry hybrid still runs original battery only ever did tires and oil changes. Gets good gas mileage. The cost to replace the battery pack keeps going down. Life is good.
Venzas are nice cars, I've been toying with the idea of maybe getting one. I wish my local Toyota dealers had more of them in stock, especially ones in LE trim, and more colors besides black, white, and dark gray.
I would find the older ones. This one on video seems like a waste also the battery too much money 4 nothing. These venza were in competition to Lexus they were running 35k but it was new & it looked like a wagon. It Wasn't selling well in the US but Canada kept selling them. Many people missed out.
My GF bought rav4’s forever, I saw the venza in the showroom this time and suggested it to her, we took delivery this week nightshade edition ruby… as an M5 owner I’m extremely impressed by the looks, build and ride quality of the Toyota, with 40 mpg it’s probably the best suv you can get imo
Hey Scotty.. I own a 2021 Hybrid Venza AWD as I live in snow country. I traded in my 2011 Venza AWD that had only 98,000 miles on it. which I bought new. Never any issues, just normal regular maintenance. Loved my old Venza it was one of my favorite cars of all time. I was second guessing myself over the Hybrid Venza but your video put my mind at ease. We took it on a 1200 mile road trip and the car flew down the highway, quiet & smooth ride. great gas mileage. Plenty of power for passing lanes. The only gripe is the interior is not as roomy as my old model. Toyota removed some of the side pockets on the passenger side . The center console is way smaller and the glove box is really small. If the sun shines on computer screen forget it. I prefer the Iphone GPS to the car GPS maybe its a programming thing that I haven't figured out just yet. Thank you for this video. Oh, I'm that old lady you always talk about in your videos who you would want to buy a used car from..LOL..
The name “Venza” for a Japanese car has cracked me up for as long as this car has been around. The letter “V” doesn’t exist in the Japanese language. When a foreign word (English, Euro, Chinese, etc.) with the letter “V” in it is translated into Japanese, the letter is pronounced as the letter “B” so Venza would be pronounced as “Benza” in Japan. Benza means toilet seat in Japanese.
I just bought a new Toyota Venza and enjoy it very much. I wanted to purchase a fully electric car but turned to a hybrid due to high prices and concerns about battery repair costs for EVs. I was also considering Lexus but the comfort and quality of Venza are very close to Lexus and the price is more affordable.
Yes that flowers and turmeric part of prayer done by temple priests so to have auspicious for new or used car to eliminate bad omen just part of the traditions when any new thing is arrived at home so family is safe and sound
I like the old Venzas better. I have a 2011 XLE V6. Just hitting 100,000 miles. Currently on vacation with it in Florida. Drove down from Ohio. Nice power, great ride, nice styling. I also have a 2013 RX 350, and I prefer driving the Venza on longer trips.
I had a Mercedes GLC, then a Lexus RX. The Mercedes was in the shop too much for a new vehicle, but I loved the style. This is the Toyota version of the GLC with reliability. Going to order this when my RX lease is up 😁
My understanding is that the Venza is more like an SUV version of the Corolla and that the Highlander is like an SUV version of the Camry. The Venza seems very over priced and cramped on the inside to me. All of the the above are based on the TNGA-K platform. I would compare the Venza to the RAV4 or the Honda CR-V which is like an SUV version of the Civic, but certainly not to the Camry which is a much longer car
45mpg for an SUV that size is pretty damn insane. I hear the new Rav4's hybrids get pretty much the same mpg which explains why there are so many of them on the road.
The lane keeping assist didn't work the second time because the car didn't recognize the lines on the side/middle of the road so the car had nothing to follow in that break.
The Venza is based on the Toyota Harriet sold in Japan but it still shares the platform with the Camry and Rav4, but uses the Sienna’s hybrid system. These have 243 total HP, the Camry and Rav4 208.
Wrong. it’s got the exact horsepower and torque as the rav4 hybrid. Which is 219 total horsepower, Same exact hybrid platform. Same battery as the rav4 The Camry on the other hand is tuned with less output at 208hp
I was hoping to see the space in the back with the seats down. Could I transport a desk or similar piece of furniture in the back with the backs seats down? This is a common scenario buying a piece of furniture or moving the last few pieces in a move. This is one of my favorite things about having an SUV.
I recently purchased a Venza '21 LE with 44kmi.. The car is great overall, however, I noticed post-purchase that whenever I was backing up and applying the break an obvious mechanical clicking noise was heard. I took the car to T-Service and was told there was an issue with "spacers" and they ordered a "spacer kit"?? Does this sound right?
I like the way they look, however I cannot get over the idea that Rav4s are cheaper and more roomy, specially in the backseat and the cargo area. But I do like the Venza interior Lexus-style. But since Rav4s are more roomy and cheaper, heck, I got a Rav4 hybrid.
Yeah and 4av 4 loud as heck, the sound deadening way better in venza, the venza is the harrier which is the Lexus 350 in Japan...rav 4 is the target Walmart version 9f the venza
Subaru might have been the first car sold in the USA with a CVT. They put it in their Justy, the least powerful car in their lineup, back in 1987! Anyway, they've had a lot more time to perfect it.
I used to have a 2010 Venza AWD V6 glass roof it was fully loaded and had it for almost 8 years I did plenty of roads trips like we drove across the country from NY to SF back in 2013 plus went to Burning Man event camping ⛺ in the desert and winter of 2017 we down to Florida Al the way Keys West, Fl to the end of the road southernmost point 😎
Toyota Lexus....Lexus Toyota the most reliable vehicles ever made period. Just purchased a 2018 Toyota 4Runner and I love it! My last vehicle was also a Toyota 4Runner and it had 323,000 miles! It was time, Lol! Listen to Scotty!

I think its intriguing because its like a little station wagon but smaller than most modern bloated crossovers SUVs. Reminds me of the old Prius V, a very very practical car and ideal size/space/performance ratio.
Those safety systems assist the driver, not drive the car by itself. I've seen on my 2018 Corolla that if you take your hands off the wheel or too low, a warning message will pop-up to put your hands back on
They have problem with the center console not closing and you have to replace the whole center console assembly. They also have recall for the rear turn signal
Scotty you don't need to say transmission because T stands for transmission. This means you are saying transmission. Just like you don't say ATM machine because the M stands for machine
The Symbol on the hood is "AUM", Generally as a Hindu we love our cars same as we love our family members, When we get new or used Vehicle we take it to the Mandir ( Temple) and do the rituals on it. And those dotes we called it a Tilak.
I'm collecting mine tomorrow. Imported from Japan staghtline 2.0, no turbo. I currently drive a 2017 X5 plug in hybrid. Will share my experience in a weeks time.
I have a 2010 Lexus RX450h with 310,000 km so far. It has a CVT “non shifting” transmission. It is ultra smooth and still gets about 8.5 l per 100 km (as good as 28. Mpg). We also have 2022 Sante Fe hybrid with a 6 speed traditional transmission. The CVT is a much better choice for a hybrid.

In your opinion, which car has better reliability, a Nissan 370z or a Toyota 86?
86
370z has gallery gasket issue because the OEM gasket is made out of cardboard, and very expensive parts.
my rav4 hybrid sounds like a ufo in ev mode. Vensa is a pricer rav4, but not by much.
Get an old Venza Limited with the 2GR-FE.
I've seen the new Venza and I like them
I am happy to hear that a Venza hybrid. Bought a '09 Camry hybrid last November. Love it. 33-40mpg so far
Toyota’s Old Vehicle Shocked the Entire Car Industry: 94 Celica
Huge fan uncle Scotty, for like 10 years now. Can you please do a friendly review on a 1st generation toyota rav4 💯🙏
doesnt seem worth the complications of the hybrid system for 25 miles on electricity
Do you mean Corolla SUV? Wheelbase of Camry is much longer.
2:30. Angels are coming to get you 😂😂😂
The Symbol on the hood is "AUM", Generally as a Hindu we love our cars same as we love our family members, When we get new or used Vehicle we take it to the Mandir ( Temple) and do the rituals on it. And those dotes we called it a Tilak.
What is your view on the old and new Toyota Siennas? Which one is best for your buck?
The new Toyota is built on a 94 Celica chassis 😂
Gr8 stuff Scotty.... Watch out for them trees.... 😂
