1977 Honda XL125 true barn find survivor: Part 1

- sprucing up this true survivor that was found in a farmers barn this past summer when I went to purchase a '76 Honda TL250 vintage trials bike. I asked if this was for sale too and couldnt pass it up.
This 125 was the first bike i bought on my own when i was 15 years old brand new..lol. i loved that bike and rode it forever.

It is great to see an old bike like this be brought back into useable condition again.
The little XL Hondas are wonderfully simple and robust machines and yours looks to be in good cosmetic condition compared to most I have seen. The last one I had came in several crates and was missing so many parts, but it came back to life with a lot of care and patience (and a well supplied bike scrap yard nearby).

I got my 1977 XL125 off the showroom floor when I turned 14 years old... Loved it.. great memories..I also owned a 1974 XL175 like the one in your other video.. the orange / blk one..
That’s awesome. I absolutely love the mars orange on the 175. Don’t think I could ever sell that one

@@brickmason4410 Cheers from Pennsylvania! No I don’t…I actually sold it to Ken Kaplan of Kaplan Cycles at Mid Ohio 2022 Vintage days. Super cool guy with an amazing motorcycle museum in New England. I actually saw it on his UA-cam channel months after as he was getting ready to put in on the auction block.
YES.. THEY HAD RUNNING LITES.. YOU COULD ACTUALLY PUT THE LITE SWITCH IN BETWEEN THE HIGH AN LOW . AN IT WOULD DIM
